Proactive from yesterday
“Directa Plus PLC (LON:DCTA) has revealed that its Setcar has bagged its third major contract win since the AIM-listed company bought a controlling stake in November 2019.
Setcar has signed a contract to supply total waste management services to Cummins Generator Technologies Romania, a part of the Fortune 500 company, Cummins.
The contract is valued at around US$3mln over three years from October 1, 2020.
Directa Plus's Grafysorber technology will be used in the services provided by Setcar.
"This third major contract win since acquiring Setcar as a subsidiary illustrates the potential for growth in our key environmental vertical. We hope to demonstrate further market penetration in industrial and oil and gas markets as we continue to roll out Setcar's services during the remainder of 2020," Giulio Cesareo, the founder and chief executive officer of Directa Plus said in a statement.”

They're currently testing the anti-viral, after initial encouraging results.
They posted this yesterday on social media
"We never stop improving
According to internal studies our G+® Graphene Plus filter lasts 7 days, without underdelivering its great performance (filtration remains in the 94% range)
?
Without having to buy a newly developed filter all present and future customers can change their filter once every week, making the Graphene Plus filter the most durable on the market
?
Further results will be announced soon"
Good luck with getting that deal. The Thermal planar circuit in their clothing is amazing; I love wearing it. If only people new that they could stay cooler in summer, warmer in winter and not have the smelly armpits, due to the antibacterial effect.
A few more retailers out there this year, from what i've found

You’ve probably seen this already?
OK, solved the mystery, you have to sign up to receive their emails first! I have written to them to see if they want a UK distributor. I might as well, having lost my job during this pandemic! ??
Works for me : shipping is €7 to UK

Washable up to 50x in fact ... if you can get hold of them!
Have any of you tried to obtain Dcta face masks? I got as far as having four in my shopping trolley in their online shop, only to find that there was apparently no check-out mechanism. Made me wonder whether they are only available in Italy? If so, they are missing a trick here in UK with BOJO announcement imminent. Especially as their masks are washable many times over without losing effectiveness.
Another one in the bag. third major contract for Setcar since being bought by DCTA.

The cost isn't putting KCC off they see it as cheaper in the long run and environmentally sounder, helping them to comply with their carbon neutral rules or whatever they're called.
From KCC website..
A trial of an extra-strong resurfacing material is being carried out by Kent County Council to prevent potholes and cracks for longer.
Gipave, a graphene-enhanced asphalt, is being used in Dartford and is less likely to soften in the heat or harden and crack in colder temperatures.
If successful, it is hoped the durable material will be rolled out across the county , lowering the costs to the council for maintenance as well as reducing carbon emissions and the amount of disruption to road users

Seems to be a patience thing and look out for spikes from unexpected newsflow if you don't have the patience to hold?
dd77 - 900,000 tonnes of enhanced road cover in the USA over 2018. That has already been a bought supply be it supplemented concrete, asphalt or trial products.
There is an article out there explaining over 20 years on the old 2018 is financially beneficial, so I hope that persuades you many investors still think it is beyond fiction that graphene products are too expensive or light years away.
That is just wrong. Still good to question companies. I do all the time, but hear I have answers. I called the recent drop from 88p to 70p and have seen 2 green light pieces of news which us usually followed by a rise. This is what we are starting to see.
Thanks guys, useful info. I get the impression the cost for Tarmac is significantly more..........so although the life of it maybe superior, the initial cost may put off some suitors. Particularly in constrained financial times we're going to experience.
Still, they have a number of strings to their bow so I think they should be fine. Just curious why there's been so little movement on the SP...........hopefully that will change though with a significant contract
Add to that look at the holdings. Patrick shoon-Shiong 28% a multi billionaire affectionately known as the worlds richest doctor, and he took part in the recent 75p placing. He owns Nant a US environmental business.
With so few shares in issue and a low mcap when a decent contract lands from any one of 4 main verticals this should really fly. Plus they have existing revenue streams. Atb

Hi dd77.
This is probably and hopefully the best time to be buying in.
People seem to think graphene is a 3-5 year project or may never come to anything.
DCTA are proving in the real world they can already make product.
Tarmac/Asphalt we are just waiting for a BULK order and yes I agree with Trek a slight disappointment another steep hill trial has started in Kent BUT Grafysober for water quality and mopping up polutants works. €700,000 contract.
Tarmac has EXCEEDED on every level. Italy UK & US markets are ready.
Tyres are already being made and Chinese patent and agreement in place.
All very big markets.
What I like is they are ' doing ' and not promising with no examples. A stand out point v most graphene companies.
Very illiquid share so the sp does not move.
You can look at it as a safe bet it rarely drops or you can say I am getting nothing on a rising sp, BUT they are just months away from cutting loose on a few large contracts which will offer and require bulk. I think then the demand will naturally increase dcta sp to another level.
Just my thoughts. Please dyor.
I've been monitoring this company for a little while.......... I can't say it's one that particularly excites me (hence why i haven't made the plunge as yet), but I do like the diverse nature of it and it appears to be gaining some traction. However, can LTH's advise me why the SP has remained fairly static over the past few years?
Take your point that there's cheap masks around but you can't wear them comfortably for long nor do anything energetic without your breath turning them to water.
Think there'll be more than sufficient market for DCTA's offering myself being in the quality end perhaps they just need to market it well?
Hi itsyou, HAYD a relief bounce imo. Will be sold into.
Re masks, on reflection I can’t get that excited by it unless they can develop a coating that kills the Coronavirus pathogens.
The ones DCTA have seem to be targeting retail. The £25-£30 costs in due to rewash capabilities based on disposable. They look better and have a lower carbon footprint. However, it’s going to be a crowded market with a mask for every eventuality. From football team colours to trendy camouflage to patriotic wear. Many youth retail sites give a free mask now with clothing orders or even a colour matching mask.
I am far from writing it off but I think it’s something that should be handed over to a company with marketing and distribution capabilities and not just sat on the website waiting for punters to arrive. That’s not directa’s skill. Hand it over and take a royalty.
In the medical field most masks are relatively cheap and single use. I can’t see nurses being expected to take home masks and wash them. This is were there is an opportunity imo if we can develop a cheap single use mask that doesn’t provide a home for a Coronavirus. So uses graphene plus an additive to sterilise then that could be a winner for higher risk use.
It’s in the medical field that we should be calling on the expertise of PSS and Nant. We have a huge strategic investor with knowledge and contacts in this field. Surely an opportunity.
I just think that again we cross the line with the technology and do not release the potential with the sales or are too slow. Just need to reach out.
Ps. No I haven’t sold any and no intention to as the upside here is huge but I may be penning some frustrations if i don’t see more numbers coming through quicker.

Still researching here but see the enhanced tarmac is getting very good press. Difficult to see this won't do very well too.
https://www.highwaysindustry.com/graphene-enhanced-asphalt-being-trialled-on-north-kent-road/
I've noticed this catalyst for change meme around a lot since covid. Think they're moving the green agenda forward..
"Giles Perkins, programme director for the ADEPT Live Labs initiative, said: “It’s fantastic to see our Live Labs delivering on the ground despite Covid-19. These have been very challenging times, but we’ve seen Kent and our other teams not only adapt to keep their programmes running but innovate further using the crisis as a catalyst for change.”
and again.
“Starting from this year, the new manufacturing plant allows us to begin selling a product that achieves the goals set out by the Green and Circular Economy, as well as those related to the UN Sustainable Development and the Paris Climate Agreement 2015.”
To be fair the stock was on its knees over there and the material and the backing they now have with this large co. make them a fair play imho.
Just been back to
https://graphene-plus.com
to have a look and bought a few more shares after. Funny hate the idea of masks but dead impressed with their products and italian designer masks whats more chic than that?by
Directa are in production and selling the Masks, yet HAYD is talking of similar and is only in development, yet it's up 100% today. Only lasts 10 washes as well, not 50!
Very good summary Trek. It is just one of those quiet shares that no matter how much we talk about it ie last week 4 hydrogen investors said graphene was either a unicorn or a 3-5 year wait for something to come to market ? As you rightly say it is ready for BULK supply and orders across several fronts.
I just keep buying at around 70p. Done this multiple times and bagged a load in march on a stupid drop. Thats the benefit of setting alerts for those 1 hour 1 day drops on world news.
It is a very safe hold. But buy if you can and a good point on buying bits rather than robbed on a bigger block buy.
Good advice Trek.
Thanks Trek - appreciate your detailed reply very much. The technology is exciting and this would normally be a share to put in the drawer for a good while, however it does need an eye to be kept on it to see whether the technology is widely adopted. The environmental pollution benefits seem excellent but I do have reservations about the tarmac as this often comes down to price and it appears difficult to persuade councils in the UK in particular to consider the bigger picture rather than the upcoming bill! As a result the US would be the prime market especially as they repair lengthy stretches of carriageway then leave them for decades..
Thanks again Trek.
Hi Wylie,
The stock is very illiquid here so the MM’s demand a premium for dealing in it. If you are looking to buy the recent substantial placing was at 75p. If you buy at around 75-80p as is now then I think that’s good value. You may find your buy goes NT (negotiated trade) as is often the case here. Try and buy in smaller lots and/or set a limit on your buy price rather than sending it fill or kill as you may be diddled for a high price!
It’s not really a trading stock although I did sell out ahead of the virus and bought back in lower having followed the news in Italy and couldn’t believe Dcta sp didn’t shift and then it dropped after I sold. That was more luck than anything!
We are expecting news from trials and most importantly orders. There is lots going on here but as yet it’s really a bet now on converting proven technologies into revenue. I must say I am disappointed that there is another trial in Kent for something that is proven albeit I get it.
I have been here for nearly 3 years and my honest appraisal is this next 6 months should be crunch time. Of course with there being so few shares if we get some decent orders and news the SP should go up very quickly.
So far this has been a slow burn but that’s how it goes.

I've been wanting to get in here for a while but why such a large spread? Sorry for the newbie question...
