This one is fine, as long as your hold and take the dividend. Will be interesting to see what it annouces. You should seriously look at ANW. After checking on here you will need to google it to get the monthly newsletter, but well worth a look.
Glad this bounced today, now Holding for the divi
rrrl, as i remember, the price dipped in the morning. So bought on the dip, squeeze an extra few percent
Hi RRLL, I bought in a few years ago after reading 'naked trader' and following his trades on his website. I have since stopped following it, preferring to buy Investment Trusts instead, as I don't often get time to do my own research nowadays. Anyway, I am not sure if this one has peaked or not, I took profits at 100% increase but still have a reasonable holding here. The dividend is so decent I think there is still value, regardless of any capital income. Anyone interested in IT's, ANW seems to be on the bounce after a difficult period as does NII.
Hi Bhoygeorge, I unfortunatley bought at the chesnara peak it seems , 3.28. (about 2 weeks ago), It's only my 4th trade and I feel I've bought right at the end of the curve/peak for CSN. they've been in the red ever scince. How did you get in so quickly in the morning?
in at 3.08 this morning
a non exec resigns. Seems overdone. Back on the radar at these prices
I thought the falls were due to integration of Direct Line Life Assurance. Although I have no evidence of any problems in that regard, Anyway this stock has done so well, I actually rarely pay it any attention, as its doubled in value and pays a whopping dividend On the 8th October 2013 Chesnara announced that it had entered into an agreement to buy Direct Line Life Insurance Company Limited from Direct Line Insurance Group Plc. The Acquisition completed on 28th November 2013 following approval by the Prudential Regulation Authority and the Financial Conduct Authority.
which seems to have been knocked down for no real reason except the market has decreed that small and mid caps are over priced. The yield alone should keep the sp over £3.50 IMO.
divi date was before that. Anyway, if it dips to 300 i'm buying
maybe it was the ex divident date?
Interesting how well the share price has held up after a pretty poor RNS this morning.
stu, why the 5% drop here today ?
Chesnara have a decent track record. The price has risen up ovr 100% for me since my initial purchase and like many others have done some profit taking. Overall I am still pretty positive on Chesnara, both in terms of future price and more so didvident yield. I would suggest holding as I think the outlook is steady
Guys, why had the share price taken a battering recently?. I bought in some time ago sat back and watched it double, luckily sold half, and since then its gone downhill. Anyone know why?
You have to be in the day before the share goes ex divi....or else everyone would buy on the day if the price was right. Hope this helps ps I bought and sold before they went ex divi and have since bought back
surly one has to buy on the ex divi day which was the 9 April as it takes 2 days to register therefore the 11 April is registration day and to late. I am in by the way in my isa actually
No.... you would have had to have bought yesterday to pick up todays divi..
but, for future reference at the very least, if I were to buy today on the ex-divi date would I receive the respective dividend?
Divi tommorow Weds 9th..I am looking to get back in today
BlueDealer, Good question lol. Let me try to explain: As I said in my post to George on 28 March - I sold when I realised the new FCA investigation would affect CSN due to the proportion of closed book revenue and profit etc and I figured the level of uncertainty would weigh down heavily on the share price. Secondly I sold on that Friday to buy into SFE prior to their results on the following Monday morning. I was confident the rise there would be better and saw it as a safer (whey) stock to hold due to it being undervalued, growing, divi-paying and a play on the recovering domestic economy. That move was rational but perhaps doesn't look so wise now haha - especially considering CSN's stellar results mean it's very undervalued and with an even better dividend to boot. Oh well you win some and you lose some lol. I was gonna ask when the divi due date again? Is it Wednesday? If so I probably will buy in tomorrow actually. Even though it has risen over 12% since I first bought. Very best regards, Lib' Dan
I sold on Thursday with what I though a cheeky sell limit whilst at Aintree. I only bought in on the dip last week as I felt massive over reaction by the MM's ..I always feel that I have to take some profits during the week ..greed and fear etc . What I didn't know ( when I placed Limit sell order ) was that Shares Mag gave Chez a column and Buy suggestion in Thursday's issue.... Chez's MD suggested their exposure not to great... .. I am hoping to get back in on Mon and Tues as fundementals look good ..I think Divi due Weds.... Also been looking to enter Majestic Wine last week on a slight retrace that didn't happen but guess what.. "Full page spread" in IC on Thursday so may have missed this for now.. Good luck with your Trading Dan
Dan'- Lib, I really do not understand why you sold at... what c.305p ?... when the sp was low and are now going to miss out on the dividend of 11.63p per share, as well... it does just not make sense...please explain? VBR, Blue
Hi George, The switch didn't pay off like I thought. SFE has only risen slightly more since last Friday than CSN has and yet obviously it cost me money for the trades so, so far, it hasn't looked worth it tbh. However, with the current uncertainty here, I think I'm actually feeling more comfortable with my money being there so it wasn't all for nothing. It just depends on your risk appetite and, as someone who works in insurance, I'm fairly risk averse. Well as much as you can be when you invest in AIM haha! I see 400p and beyond on the cards here once the uncertainty fades away. Good luck, Dan
Hi libero how did you get on with the switch yestrdy hope it worked out for you..do u fnc coming back into ches nice divi on way
