Simon Thompson may give bullish update in his Investors Chronicle Blog on Monday. Fingers crossed!
I feel there arent enough free shares for any of the professionals to be able to take a stake here..
MrBond007- yes, good discussion to be had on ADVFN too. Apologies, my previous perhaps not worded all too clearly. My question rhetorical, directed toward general market! Agreed on current valuation vs fair value and also fall on low volume. Whilst don't agree regarding manipulation, understand why may seem so at times- usual small cap price movements on low volume my view. Poster on ADVFN made interesting point that commission of research may be beneficial. Believe board doing great job, though company could pique interest of longer-term investors to support growth.
Hi 0109,
See your´re an advfn officiando as well. You might have got me wrong, methinks not fair value because it´s not high enough. I. Bought back in here just shy of 50p. Guess it´s being pushed down on virtually no volume. All curious as the webinar brexit discussion suggested great opportunities could be ahead for CRL and not the opposite, unless I misheard something. This share price is always being manipulated. I dont really get it, esp the 45 to 20 drop a few years ago.
No company has been as good to me as this one though.
MrBond007- imagine you’d be able to pick some up today. At -15% since results released, seems +63.8% profit hasn’t impressed. Must wonder, what would impress?
Very few shares, always hard to get a price. But, methinks this is not fair value yet.
Jorgew8- understandable, thinking that pre-tax profit +63.8%, revenue +36.3% and diluted EPS +60.68% might have had the SP climbing today. Alas, seems profit-taking held it back but don't expect it'll be long before rest of market catches on. Not before tipster alerts them to it, of course!
As always, worth listening to the webinar for a frank analysis of how things are going.
I was clearly wrong in expecting hand gels to continue strongly! However it was good to hear that even with these revenues falling they are targeting 60M for the year (so >28M in H2).
Pippa should take up a second career as a marketing lecturer - she clearly has a comprehensive grasp of their markets and combines this with excellent presentation skills.
Stellar set of results!
Well done to all at Creightons, once again.
They just went over 70p earlier in the year so should get there again with these results.
Superb results have surpassed my expectations this AM. Highlights:
- Revenue increased by £8.62m (36.3%) to £32.37m (2019: £23.75m).
- Profit before tax increased by £1.13m (63.8%) to £2.90m (2019: £1.77m).
- Diluted EPS 3.31p (2019: 2.06p)
- Net cash on hand at £2.38m (2019: £1.57m
- Online sales increased 180%
In my view, CRL worth 70-75p near-term and perhaps 120-150p mid-term should growth continue. Well managed throughout COVID, prepared for Brexit best it can be and exciting continued growth.
Great results! Should see a nice climb today, massively undervalued!
They’ve smashed it.
However, interim dividend maintained at 0.15p.
I was talking to a school bursar the other day. He said that they had spent 10K on hand sanitiser, but what surprised me was that they had taken out a three year supply contract. Evidently this was the most cost effective way as they anticipate that they will still be using it at least through next winter.
Originally I had expected revenues for Crl from this stream to reduce quite quickly but now I am not so sure. Many people have got used to sanitising their hands, hospitals and business’s will still be providing it for their workers even after most have been vaccinated. I also cannot see there being a rush to vaccinate school kids when they have such a low risk from covid. A lower incidence of flu seen this year will also strengthen the argument for maintenance of some the habits that have evolved this year.
At last years, Year End Results, Crl mentioned that they had increasing interest from UK business looking for home supply to help de-risk a no deal Brexit, it will be interesting to see how this has developed given the lack of clarity on this issue to date.
Creighton's has been 'tipped' as a 'buy' 2 hours ago this morning at 'S H A R E P R O P H E T S.'
Investor0109 - me thinks -
a/ price will hold steady at 50-55p no probs. Last trade update in Sept time - they postponed release for 1 week - thus a small dip in between the expected release date and actual release date.
b/ sell-off of previous share price rise in Sept 20 after trade update was primarily due to :
- Sept 24 FTSE All-share sell off (that week when investors were selling off). This knocked CRL's momentum.
- October was bonkers with Trump having covid and then US elections' volatility, which all feeds thru to investor sentiment
This time round, checking out the SP action of DUKE (yeah even DUKE!) , IXI - other Simon Thompson's recommendations - these have actually maintained their SP level. Thus this time, I reckon that CRL may hold onto any SP gain, unless there are some big market rainstorms primarily (bullish sentiment of PIs with vaccine news is more likely to drive to more long term holders after the traders have gone home).
Starmog- it would seem positive update anticipated next week. Expect foreign sales to have increased steadily as have been some 12 months prior, with Covid product sales doing well to offset pandemic damages. Know that CRL taking steps to expand past couple of years and believe will soon come to fruition. Very much undervalued and simply matter of time + patience=profit.
Sell-off following stellar results in May update shows that market has tendency to expect far more than is reasonable, so hope that price holds steady at 50-55p until results published. Worth 70-80p currently in my opinion and on current trajectory, 100-120p next year. Steady progression of SP unlikely, however, though am confident that those holding 3 years + will be handsomely rewarded.
Seems to be positive movement starting to happen?
Any views into results?
I think the RNS came out past 7am - if I am not mistaken. Come on Mr Bond, give positives where positives can be given. Love these CRL guys. Whilst on the ball in their biz and during presentations, RNS, are, in their words "over-all" (spelt from one of their previous RNS) somewhat "meh".
What do you mean?
Wow another stab at hiding the rns. What´s wrong with these guys?
And as if by magic a rns comes out! Lol
When does the trading statement have to come out? Last year it looked like it came out on the 20th November? And we were also given 7 days notice..
Any ideas?
You're welcome Investor0109. Interim's this week perhaps? With bullish sentiment in the air + annual Christmas stock market "feelgood" factor, expecting elevated SP. On another note, CRL really establishing a moat in private label - being voted no.1 private label manufacturer in their line of goods for past number of years.
