Have to admit to selling in the past 18/4/17 @ 186.02 and 4/5/18 @162 all replaced over the years think we may move higher yet with gold at these prices may be tempted @190
Well i am still here, cant believe how well the sp is going, instead of the stomach churning ride that most of us are used to we have finally become a strong stable share, really hope it continues, must confess had to sell a few recently but still retain quite a few. No plans to sell any more though. Life would not be the same without being part of this after all you dont get this thrill from a bank or building society account.
As long as there is a good dividend ,and possibly higher dividend in the future.
I see no point in selling.
In these uncertain times of over inflated currencies and stocks, along with physical gold, the next safest is a solid miner with an excellent balance sheet.
I sold some at 136 and bought them back at 131. Made me nervous while I was out so probably won’t try that again. My previous target of 150, having been breached, has now been discarded. Will be hoping for 175ish now but can always be swayed as news or just consistent rises materialise.
Thanks Razor...
Cowichan, based to my understanding and hearing from some sources like the man on the train, I will not even think of selling until July. After that I will see if to keep or sell. Egyptian investors already buying CEY like a hot cack, knowing the plans coming of Centamin. The only ones are selling now are the penny collectors (day traders).
GLTA,
Dan
Sorry...
The X–Div Date is 21/05/2020
dividend per share. USD 0.06
Declaration date the 14th of the first 2020
X dividend date the 24th first of the fifth 2020
Pay date the 12th of the sixth 2020
OK thank you...
Final Divi is paid mid May, so ex D date will be around mid April.
Could someone remind me of the ex-divi date please?
Having stayed with CEY through the bad times, it's good to see headway being made.
The forthcoming dividend makes holding the better option, however common sense says sell now and buy more back IF the SP tumbles.
The question in my mind is, why should it now tumble?
If £/AU stays strong, surely SP can only improve or do we have any bad news lurking in a dark corner awaiting it's chance to shock us yet again? Egypt is full of surprises.
My average here is 92p (That's how long I've been in!) so the temptation is to take a little profit. My instinct though says that this is the start of a new era for CEY and hopefully the BoD will rid us of the 'One trick pony' tag whilst providing increasing income.
I have no experience of how gold behaves in an upward trend, I have with crude, but gold is different I think it could continue in the same manner as this week for another 2 or 3 days which may well bring the share price to the £1.60’s or even £1.70’s
But I am very inexperienced, it’s a guess.
Hi Cowichan
Too many variables and not under my consideration even allowing an inevitable pull back.
Might consider after weekend Egyptian announcement in Canada and , ex divi been and gone and 1st quarter results out.
However if I was a Trader rather than an Investor I would put a sell order in for 158.5 below the 159 level where the big money will take it down. But heigh ho I was a rotten day trader so acting contrary may well be wise.
Obviously momentum traders still in full flow at mo.
Bob
As things are at the present I won't be selling , even if there is a bit of a pull back!
Cowichan,
I think the price El Raghy received might be a good start 1.77 ?
Who among our little clan of Centamin shareholders is taking a little profit at this price?
Or if you're not willing to sell a little now, at what price are you willing to sell some shares in anticipation of a (brief?) pullback?
(I will give my 2 cents next week...)
