Of course, the latest pronouncements are a contemporary account of things, as was Pardey's at the time.
Quite so Rebess , Andrew Pardey was a two faced stinker who spoke with forked tongue!

Old timers here will recall Pardey presenting at Denver and confirming that everything was going according to plan and on course to meet forecasts. - Within days of his return home, he then performed a complete about face. - Take Denver with a pinch of salt, it's used as a platform to achieve certain outcomes, but truth is not necessarily one of them.
The currency of a country which is broke bar its ability to print as much money as it wants ....is the back bone of the global financial system..LOL

Happy Friday y’al
Enjoy your weekend!
Either Barrick Gold or Endeavour Mining try to steal or the market raises the price.
There’s various combinations of the path to a higher share price and I can’t wait to see what happens unfolding.
It’s a reasonable assumption if alias, Horgan and Jerard are on their soapbox making public speeches about the current state of play at Centamin and how well their recovery program is progressing which it is then surely it’s only a matter of time before either Barrick Gold or Endeavour Mining, with Naguib Sawiris at the helm that due to regulations must announce they have acquired x amount of shares of Centamin and intend offering xxx for the remaining shares in circulation.
I’m just putting it out there, but the reality is we’re getting closer to a market recognised recovery which will remove the shackles that have been holding the share price on its knees.
Good find Cowichan.
An encouraging ,well presented Video by Ross Jerard.
Hope it all comes to pass.
I meant final week of Q3 not Q4 in previous but CEY is hedged anyway.
Thanks for posting Cowichan.
Allowing for additional Capex in H2 I have net earnings of around $14.25 cents. As we go into Q4 we have 60,000 ounces hedged at $1900. The $14.25c is based on Q4 average of non hedged sales of 65,000 ounces at $1800 per ounce. Overall this confirms the share is trading at 8 times earnings. I have assumed we do not have an almighty collapse in gold price in the final week of Q4 and maintain an average price of ounce sold near $1920. We still have 20,000 ounces of hedge this month that may not have been used.
Next year the company has $70M or so to spend on developing ounces and new assets instead of stripping likely to create 3M new resource ounces in my opinion at good grades.
I can see a very strong recovery on Centamin in 2024. A gold price around $1850 next year would take Centamin back to 115p. We could see the dividend up another penny as well. At higher gold prices a higher SP. Tony
I am really not very qualified to comment on mining services companies so I sought the advice of an industry professional.
From the latest CAPD report CAPD looks well diversified and with solid financials.
Given its dividend yield and the prospects in the mining industry it should give a decent return, although not fireworks!
An EBITDA margin of more than 28% is impressive at face value, but does not give an indication of sustainable margin.
For instance when looking the financials for H1 2023 it appears that much is absorbed by Capex!
Cash from Ops os 38.2 and outflows for capital equipment is 36.2.
That would seem to leave very little for shareholders?
Equities in Europe traded lower in the premarket on Thursday with the Bank of England's (BoE) newest monetary policy taking center stage. The markets also responded to losses Wall Street observed the previous day following the Federal Reserve's decision to leave interest rates unchanged. The United States central bank also projected the federal funds rate will stay between 5% and 5.25% at the end of 2024.
The DAX decreased by 1.00% at 7:11 am CET. At the same time, the FTSE 100 declined by 0.89%. The CAC 40 fell by 0.93%. The Eurostoxx 50 dropped by 1.11%.
The euro lost 0.23% to the dollar to change hands for $1.06368 at 7:18 am CET. The same minute, the pound sterling dipped by 0.17% against the greenback to go for $1.23227.

What a whopper of a find.
Thanks Cowichan, this presentation gives up to date risk reassurance to anyone feeling over exposed to Centamin.
Powerful clip.
Thank you Cowichan, this is presentation very encouraging and should reassure existing long term holders and encourage potential new investors.
This may also help newer share holders or traders to understand that once the waste clearance contact cost s fall off next year that Centamin should perform far better than many of its peers and the share Sprice-to climb by a substantial l amount! in 2024!
Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk announced on Wednesday that his startup Neuralink Corp. will soon implant a device into the brain of the first human patient. Neuralink started human trials earlier today after receiving approval from an independent review board for patients with quadriplegia due to cervical spinal cord injury or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). It said the trial, authorized by the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) in May, "represents an important step in our mission to create a generalized brain interface to restore autonomy to those with unmet medical needs."
"This ultimately has the potential to restore full body movement," Musk said of the trial. "In the long term, Neuralink hopes to play a role in AI risk civilizational risk reduction by improving human-to-AI (and human-to-human) bandwidth," he added in a post on his social platform X, formerly known as Twitter.

Capd share price performance is completely dislocated to how the company is performing.
the main headwind is effectively the perception of african risk – particularly in west africa where there have been a series of coups (latest one in gabon, where they are now working for fortescue, a huge iron ore company and a big load & haul and drilling contract).
the reality is that they have a much larger non-african footprint than they are getting credit for – saudi arabia, north america and ****stan with barrick, a big chunk of their labs business is in canada, etc. and these are large contracts which will grow – look what happened at sukari! the drilling business is also the highest margin for the moment – msalabs will have significant margins once it gets to critical mass, but is growing very fast and that lowers the margin in the short term. but drilling is at 28% margin.
London-listed Centamin commissioned a 36 MW solar plant at its Sukari gold mine, located in the Nubian Desert near the Red Sea in Egypt, during the fourth quarter of last year, resulting in immediate cost savings and reductions in carbon emissions, CEO Martin Horgan has said.
At the release of the company’s report for the quarter ended December 31, 2022, on January 19, he noted that the commissioning of the solar plant would result in a potential cost saving of up to $20-million a year at current fuel prices.
Centamin said this also reflects inflationary pressures on the contracted waste-stripping programme, specifically from higher fuel prices.

Due to the high energy prices, gold miners’ margins are going to be squeezed.
The junior gold miners have generally fallen out of favor, noted Cook. Even good news can turn into bad news for a junior miner.

Rising debt and debased currency will push gold prices to record highs
Along with gold, Strand said that investors should look at the precious metal mining sector. Investor sentiment in the mining sector has struggled as the gold market has been stuck in neutral territory through most of 2023.
"Gold miners are cheap to buy, which makes them a great value play. They have also lowered their debt substantially, in contrast to companies in other sectors, for the last 10 years. With high dividends and a lot of M&A activity, the sector is really getting into gears," Strand said.

And to add Tony, no SP EVER works by simple statements like ... in the past when the SP was "nnn", gold was "nnnn", inflation was "nn" and so on- you should have figures this out by now.
Centamin, along with ALL other STOCKS and investments have to compete against one another for investment to mention one simple thing- it's like a department in a business saying "we can turn £1m into "£2m" in 6months, and wondering why they are ignored. They will be ignored when other potential changes in that same busniess yield far more with less risk.
