Never been in stock so far
@ planttravel : thanks for the reply. It does sound as if the boarder closure is temporary and good to hear Byotrol have planned for shortages.
Sounds all positive and looks like an acquisition on my part. Cheers..!
Hi BoardsofUK,
I appreciate your concerns ref blockade, but I’m pretty sure the current shutting of borders is a short-term knee jerk reaction to the new Covid strain.
Maintaining adequate supply lines is essential not just for the Uk, but for Europe too.
I import some Materials from China and Europe, and mitigating for border issues is part of the planning.....essential to deal with Brexit.
So for most businesses this current situation is actually already planned for, albeit not this particular story.
BYOT have already stock piled inventory, and looked at likely difficulties Brexit might bring I would have thought. I would expect some short-term cost increases to get containers in around the end of this year, beginning of next....( in fact lately a small container from China has increased around 4x original quote for us,) but with a unique in-demand product, these costs can be transferred.
Good luck, what ever you decide. I am here for the long-term possibilities!
I see tension between extended and rising demand for Byotrol products and disruption to their raw materials (ref. last RNS "Our employees all delivered under very difficult circumstances as we faced restrictions in movement and shortages in raw materials." Looking to buy but deterred by current blockade. Any comments ?
Sold out over weekend

From the Daily Telegraph
Army's 99.99pc effective disinfectant spray kills coronavirus in less than a minute
Virusend, already distributed to services personnel, is being tested for use in hospitals
The British Army has pioneered a Covid disinfectant spray which has proved so successful it will be sold to the general public.
The Virusend disinfectant formula has been found to kill all coronavirus strains in less than a minute and was proven to kill SARS-CoV-2 in 99.99 per cent of cases.
Now more than 50,000 bottles of the handheld Virusend disinfectant are being deployed to military personnel across the country who are working alongside the NHS at coronavirus testing stations as part of the military's ongoing support to civil authorities.
It is already being used at testing sites in Medway and Preston and can be purchased online for £7.99.
It uses compressed air instead of VOC flammable gasses and is fully recyclable and fully re-useable.
It produces a much higher density spray than anything currently on the market and allows the holder to use the bottle in any direction, even if it is upside down.
The product was developed in conjunction with and partly funded by the British Army in addition to a £180,000 InnovateUK grant from the Government's specialist team which has been funding projects in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Army asked Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LTSM) to conduct tests at its Bio Security Level 3 Laboratory, where experts certified that Virusend kills at least 99.99 percent of coronavirus in 60 seconds.
Dr Grant Hughes from Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine said: "Our tests show this product is highly effective at reducing SARS-CoV-2.
"This significant reduction is seen within one minute of contact with the virus, meaning Virusend is highly effective at inactivating SARS-CoV-2."
The spray is also undergoing clinical evaluation at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in seven clinical environments including, A&E, Covid positive and low risk wards, intensive care and operating theatres.
Professor David Jayne, Director of National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Surgical MedTech Co-operative, said: "We are delighted to be working in collaboration with the Army and Pritchard on this project.
"Partnerships are the backbone of the work that we undertake in the Leeds MedTech Co-operative in Surgical Technologies in our ambition to pull novel technologies into clinical practice.
"If the clinical trials are successful, we hope that the technology will be made widely available to help protect our staff and patients."
Lt Col James Cackett, CO 35 Engineer Regiment (EOD&S) and commanding the Medway Resilience Unit said the spray was “easy to use”.
Michael Pritchard MBE, CEO Pritchard Spray Technology Ltd who developed the bottle said: "This pioneering spray will change the way we combat this and all future pandemics.
I presume that Byotrol's publicity machine will
Makes me wonder why copmanys like Totally PLC that are running the NHS 111 service are treading water and going backwards in the world's greatest pandemic
Sorry, New Variant not new strain.
Surely a new strain (CV-20) would require a new vaccine?
Every year a new strain of flu appears - and this requires a new vaccine, so it would seem to follow that the current CV19 vaccine is now no longer effective!
I bow to the contradictory view of others, better versed in the matter - but it does seem to be a reasonable point to be widely discussed amongst all the mis-information circulated and convuluted action taken by HMG in addressing CV19!
New strain and some countries will not get vaccine until 2024.
Looking at the interims from last week:
For H1, they increased sales by only £4.5m compared to H1 2020 (£6.7m compared to £2.2m) and adj Ebitda only increased by £800k, £1.2m (H1 2020 £0.4m)
The world experience the biggest pandemic to hit in 100yrs. However, the sales/profit haven't increased as I would have expected. The huge demand for santiser would have been during the early months of the pandemic, so sales should have been significant during H1.
Vaccines are being rolled out so I expect demand for product sales will decrease over the next year.
Turtle Wax, Move Clean:
They announced the trial at Target in May 2018 and it ended in March 2020, after nearly 2 years. The Turtle Wax, Move Clean, is also a trial where the data won't be known for months or even more than a year.
£30m mcap - I think there's a lot of jam tomorrow already factored in!!
From interims:
revenues £6.7m(£2.2m) fy £6.1m
GP £2.3m (£0.9m)
adj Ebitda £1.2m (£0.4m)

Everything I read about this stock I like.
A link with turtle wax should bring in buyers for their antiseptic spray from driving instructors, taxi firms, bus drivers, delivery drivers. The best part is that the spray doesn’t damage car interiors
Today's results exceeded most expectations, and as a recent shareholder I'm well pleased.
A company producing a sanitizing product is not exactly a glam stock, but I feel that once the market realizes the potential here, we will see a huge increase in share price.
The stock market media will now be evaluating this news, and will no doubt be commenting in due course.
I've noticed that one of the Winnifroth crew have mentioned us in the past, so here's hoping his keyboard contributions will give us more exposure to this great investment opportunity and put us above the radar.
Just bought in like the fact that they have paid off all debt, trebled revenues, feel somewhat protected by the fact that the Chief financial officer paid 7.7p for 125,000 shares in Sept. He is in the know far more than us Pi's

John Langlands, non-executive Chairman of Byotrol commented:
"This was a very strong first half performance. The business has delivered sustainable profits, benefitting from our long term strategy and of course the significant demand for our infection control products arising from the COVID-19 pandemic. Our employees all delivered under very difficult circumstances as we faced restrictions in movement and shortages in raw materials.
Byotrol remains extremely well positioned to benefit from the long term demand for infection control products both during and following the pandemic "
Lovely RNS , great results- 3 times the revenue compared to previous yr and business is going to improve further. imagine when all the restaurants, hotels, flights and cruise ships restart and they will definitely be using Byotrol products to maintain hygiene . Next yr results will be much much much better. And the SP will be skyrocketing....get on board and hold for Gold. Good luck All.
Very nice indeed, with £1.2m EBITDA and almost £1m PBT in just 6 months.
Plus £1.7m net cash and rising.
Solvay has globally launched Actizone 24 hour surface sanitizer, referring to it as a "blockbuster technology".
Plus there's the licensing-out of Byotrol24 surface sanitizer to Integrated Resources Inc. in the US - expected to provide significant returns to Byotrol for minimal ongoing US costs
And the outlook is very confident:
"Market demand for our products remains high and we continue to expect future demand to settle substantially above pre-COVID levels. The outlook for our industry is highly positive and Byotrol's positioning within it remains very strong.
