Astrological anorak you be. Lol. Happy Easter. X
I think that's a fair comment lb. An excuse based on the notion simply that the Swedes have no real sense of urgency is not an excuse at all. We need this licence before the AGM, or an official indication from the Government that it will be awarded. Paperwork pending. All in my humble. But this is supposed to be an investment for mortal people. Lol. Have a decent weekend.
Hi Googs. We've raised, in a short space of time, £1.25 million. My take is simply that the we've stumped up £750k on increasing our percentage to 37.6% in Vardar. We have £500k remaining, but with a likely upping of our percentage to 40.1% by slapping in another £115,000. Leaving us £385,000 from the two fundraises. (Obviously this to be added to what already lies in our coffers, though I'm not sure what that figure that currently is). My concern is at what price and just how much will really need to be raised to get Kallak rolling. With an average of 13.5p, I'm very concerned about it. I feel Kurt has spent a heck of a lot, none of which has been on our flagship project, but with that probable larger spend to come. Barring a buyout etc. Finally, and this may sound ridiculous, but I sincerely hope and trust that he does not always say "yes please" to those minted investors who are angling for a large slice of our pie, but at a significantly discounted price to whatever the current sp is. Not with the chance of this licence looming ever nearer. We long-termers have kept the company afloat by sticking with it through this concession debacle. We could have collapsed it on its backside, so I trust he appreciates the sweat and tears, the support we've afforded BEM, and that he doesn't do anything too daft before we have the licence in the bag. Just sayin' Googs. Have a good Easter.
But I'm not in the mood...Bobtree's missed a bit out though...so I'll content myself with sorting that out:
Vernal equinox = birth and youth
Summer solstice = prime
Autumn equinox = maturity
Winter solstice = old and death
Then there are the quarter days in between...it's not all plain sailing: Imbolc, Beltane, Lusanagh, Samhain
Happy Easter everyone. x
Re. my previous post.I would very much like you to be right. All the best.
Afternoon. If the Green’s want to reverse their decline, and avoid further loss to the Sweden democrats in the EU elections, then they may wish to push for a mine at Kallak beforehand! Paris n all that! Their core, is to protect the planet, and not, argue for some ideal for any particular one group of peoples. Kallak is indeed, Green!
lbjj, AGM? Now that’s commitment, coming from someone who is not invested. Lol. Happy Easter to all.
Here were are at (for some) is the holiest time of the year (you know this is the case - large Tesco stores close for the day).
As Janice sang about Summertime is just around the corner and news is expected in this season, the debate has been about when is the Summertime.
I thought the whole of Scandinavia does odd things and drink a fair bit too to celebrate Mid- Summer in late June.
I also seem to recall that crazy events take place on May 1st. Linking the two together in my simple mind puts summer starting about the beginning of May, enjoying it's mid life crisis around the end of June and passing away come September.
An announcement in or by early June would meet my expectations but if we are venturing into late July or August I would begin to challenge the declared time frame.
Still as stated at the top have a great Easter time one and all. I hope you avoid the traffic jams and the protest 'kids' causing all the disruption and increasing the carbon footprint.
I agree with lbjj and johnthegolf. I was amazed that the share price rose so much on an expectation. I also thought the timing was a bit naughty given the following fundraising RNS. Don't have a problem with the fundraising btw, and more positive about Kosovo than many others, though I would like to see a bit more clarity about our involvement regarding the funding of work.
From the initial subscription RNS: Funds will be used for “Follow-on investment in Vardar Minerals Limited … funding Vardar's 2019 Kosovan exploration programme,… and exercising the Company's option to increase Beowulf's stake in Vardar from 14.1% to 31.3%.”
From last Monday's RNS..."Beowulf has now exercised its option to increase its ownership in Vardar Minerals to 31.3% for the consideration of £500,000, satisfied in cash, and has committed a further £250,000 to increase the Company's ownership to approximately 37.6%, fully funding Vardar's 2019 Kosovan exploration programme at the Mitrovica and Viti projects. The Company has an option to invest a further £115,000, which would increase its ownership to 40.1%."
I read from that, we have used half of the £500,000 2nd fundraise to increase our stake in Vardar to 37.6% but not yet taken the option on 40.1%. I also hope that the funding of the exploration programme has come from our increased ownership and nothing else.
Hi John. I see what you mean, though I don't feel Kurt would just magic up a time period without having had solid confirmation. It would be somewhat hopeful and a bit reckless. Here it is again, from the RNS, maybe in more context: "The Company is actively communicating with the Government with regards to the Exploitation Concession for Kallak North. It has been confirmed that the Kallak application is being prioritised, an acknowledgement by the Government that the Company has been waiting an excessive period of time for a decision. The Company expects, and it is reasonable to do so, that a decision will be taken, by the Government, before the summer." But who really knows. Based on Swe-Gov's previous. If we haven't heard anything concrete by then, with no reason provided by the Gov, then Kurt may have to consider the nuclear option. Hope that won't be necessary, as our damaging situation has been acknowledged. More waiting John. Best wishes matey.
I posted exactly the same view a couple of days ago.
Interestingly, 21 june is the week before the agm. If the concession has not been granted by then, I will certainly be attending wherever it is.
I have read Kurt's RNS re reply from the government. "the Company expects, and it is reasonable to do so ---- "
Is this just his opinion? There seems to be no concrete evidence that a decision should be forthcoming before the summer recess.Priority in Sweden could mean any time frame. I hope there is more in the letter he received to suggest the decision will be soon but I don't hold out too much hope given our treatment so far.imho.
Aaaargh!
It doesn’t actually state the year though? Just putting it out there...
I hope it does arrive before then Bricks. It'll curtail Andy's mischief. For a while at least. Lol.
21st june is in my diary.... hope to be celebration before that.... swede summer GLA Bricks
Yes Geo.
The RNS stated '... before the summer'. Sweden's summer starts on Friday 21 June. That's nine weeks tomorrow.
Andy, the end of June would be into summer. It should come before that.
It will show up on the agenda - it did so last time, and it will do so this time also.
I'm guessing the end of June :)
nothing this week - but if you look at what's down ("get some papers for something") it doesn't persuade me that a proper consideration of kallak will ever appear on the agenda - it's market sensitive. If it had to be at meeting it begs the question of why "getting some papers for something" is considered to be more important and urgent than sorting out Sweden's mining industry. Not had any effect on aktie either.
Right, Bobtree....we move on, very good joke. :-)
There is absolutely no point going over yesterday's stuff, I made my comments very clear on what I thought of it but today it's history and we need to focus on the way forward.
Ibjj comments made me recall the old Irish joke ( not the most pc in the modern climare but nonetheless worth mentioning)
An English speaking foreigner was enjoying a motoring tour of the west coast of Ireland and pulled up by a local country gentlemen and asked "Which is the best was to Dublin?" The local thought for a while and explained a route and then stopped and said then pointed in the other direction and explained what could be a better route and then decided that a third route could be a preferred candidate and the halfway through explaining a forth route explained the overarching problem by saying "If I wanted to go to Dublin, I wouldn't start from HERE"
Unfortunately, in life we have no options but to start from where we are now!
moving up over the water
Looking not so bad this morning...and a lot of goodwill and hope is gathering. :-)
Watch this space. :-)
