Makes what we describe as democracy look positively neanderthal.
Up 6% in swedeland ☺
Won’t happen... it would be blatant politicking...
7am RNS. Howl.
Lol. Then auf59 can almost be seen as a term of endearment. Ha ha. Aye, the Sami, while obviously important, no doubt, they are no more important than anyone else in Sweden. This must be remembered. They may roll up and continually bend the Government's ear, via the Green channel, but it's equally apt that Kurt now bends the other ear and points to both the law and also what is fair and just. In this supposed pro-mining country! As investors, we are left to guess, as usual, without any timeframe for an end to the madness, and no apology or recompense from the Swedes, for years of their water treading and sliding sideways at best. Lol. As you say, a contemptuous herd. Glasses off.
Evening. Well Eric, I have been named worse, you’ll find it hard to believe I’m sure lol. Seriously now, I have always taken the view that the Sami present the ideal hand that can be played by others. No evidence whatsoever. However, they are an important consideration, and are always in negotiation with the Government on many fronts. I also take the view, that the Government has had adequate time to make the decision since they took over the process, and that there is much more being negotiated. Budge needs all the leverage he can muster. It’s in our own interest. Yes he will return to Sweden when the dust settles, judging by the polls, it probably won’t be Tuesday is my guess. The present herd have been contemptuous, he should be seen to address that. In my opinion only. atb
From the RNS issued 31st Aug 2018 "In early July, Almedalen provided an excellent opportunity for me to engage with Swedish Government ministers, members of the Swedish Parliament, regional politicians from Norrbotten and its new Governor. This ensures Kallak stays front-of-mind, that key decision makers are cognisant of the facts of our application, principally that we have fully satisfied the Swedish legal requirements to be granted an Exploitation Concession. I plan to be in Sweden shortly after the general election, once the dust has settled, to press for an early positive decision, something that is unacceptably long overdue. Now forgive me, but KB isn’t going to simply turn up unannounced is he?
Sorry for any errors. My eyes are ceramic.
Yet Kurt mentioned pressing the Swedes after the election dust has settled Aug, so I don't know what he'll do, if anything, tomorrow, if no news comes from the current Government on our application. If we do have news tomorrow of a decision, or at least a date for one, then that would go some way towards avoidng the need for the unsavoury. Legal pursuit. Of course, we may still need to call upon the unsavoury, if dates keep getting put back etc. Always to our financial detriment these delays you see. Lol. As ever, this debacle continues then, and the election has been used (unless we hear tomorrow) as an excuse for more of the same cobblers. In my opinion. The cobblers being the gleeful acceptance of responsibility by this present administration, for doing less than fook all. Atb.
Yes, we don't know. No timescale, so we could be nearly at the rubber-stamping stage, or this could be miles away. All we know is that final comments were in nearly five months ago and that there's an election on Sunday. Fill in the gaps? Impossible to do so with any accuracy. My thoughts anyway.
Evening. Many assert, that the Greens would not support this application. So why is it that the Sami are not calling for a decision to be made, whilst the Greens are guaranteed to be in the Government make-up? What have the Sami got to lose I wonder lol. Pathetic!
If we don’t hear from the Government tomorrow re decision/delay, then I personally think that Budge should take a firm position with the Government, before the close of play tomorrow. He should imo, state that a decision must be made on the application, or for the new Government to explain the reason(s) as to why that is not possible, either one, by x date. Budge should imo, make clear, that any failure on this, then BEM is obligated to take the necessary steps to protect its investors. If there is any difficulties re any ongoing negotiations with BEM, then this shouldn’t make things worse. Doing so tomorrow, when it’s not possible for anyone to know who is to hold the balance of power, would demonstrate that BEM is without fear or favour of any political party/individual, and that previous negotiations could have no bearing whatsoever. Just an opinion. atb
It’s not where you’re going, or where you’ve been, it’s where you’re at that counts. The issue is that we don’t really know!
That's true, aye. Poor really.
That's us, mwilliams, you got it....we are The Patience People, did you ever meet more patient people than us?
PS That T below doesn't mean anything, it just fell off.
T
Patience People
The truth is, that we’ve had no actual explanation from anyone in respect of time-frame since the last submissions in April 2018. Only KB made reference to the election potentially delaying the issue.
Well that's a fair point, less obstruction, but it's high time the law was brought into play. Then it wouldn't matter what percentage of the vote the Greens garnered. They can simply pi55 off, in accordance with the rules. Lol.
He says he'll be pressing...
Exactly SJ. Kurt has this in hand though, I'm sure. He's says he'll be pressing, and it will be with plenty of ammunition. In my humble. Cheers SJ. Hope you are doing ok.
In theory no - but if the Green party are out then there is no one to represent the Sami and their concerns about reindeer crossing the road. The less politicians interfering the better....
I can't see the election result making any difference to us whatsoever. Kurt is just being a gent by allowing the dust to settle, in my opinion. Then let's have it!
I'm still trying to figure out why the government were setting strict timelines for responses from various parties for the last 12 months then themselves go into radio silence, and do absolutely nothing at all. Shocking but not surprising anymore. Back on the roundabout when the new government come in. It really is disgusting though.
It’s like the millennium bug, waiting for the Big Bang... And then... nothing! The election is just another hurdle or low ball cast our way. I’m not convinced it will make much difference. We live in hope...
One day left. Lol. x
