It’s exciting stuff. To be clear, I’m of the opinion that it won’t result in an immediate outcome for BEO, and that the wheels will continue to turn in the civil service behind the scenes; But what it will do is change the political landscape in our favour, and that has got to be a good thing!
well, this should keep you busy...

Three hours to go then....I'm exhausted thinking about it.
Worth a read... more election opinion https://www.theguardian.com/world/2018/sep/08/swedens-far-right-set-to-hold-balance-power-after-election
The Polls close at 2000hrs CET
I hope this link helps explain the election results. Let's hope that the new coalition will grant the licence, it has been a long nine year wait. GLA, it's about time.

Expressed myself, I like that.
I've never been called "eloquent" before. I'll add that to my CV ;o)
For the information/updates. I do hope that the Swedish people have the confidence to vote for change, if that is, of course, what the majority wants! Best of luck Sweden. atb
The dreaded biased CAB strikes again !
Elections have to be positive for BEM .... can't wait another 5 years
Hard demand for Löfven: Put down your foot
Usually conflicting interests - now agreed in criticism of Prime Minister Stefan Löfven and his government. Both Boliden AB and IF Metall as unions are now attacking the government for how it handled the situation. At the same time, the state's great way of proceeding - driven by a reluctant judicial chancellor - is lifted against Girja's cohabitation to the Supreme Court.
After five major mining projects, all five mining projects have been decided by the government. Two of them are Kallak outside Jokkmokk and Laver outside Älsbyn. Both are also ready for decision over a year but nothing happens.
Marie Nilsson, federal chairman IF Metall, is critical of the fact that the government did not set foot.
Can't get the rest without paying a sub - but you get the drift - we're not the only ones and the unions are p*ssed off as well...
I think you 'expressed' yourself most eloquently!
Exactly... the makeup of the government will be apparent...
at least we will have the excitement of exit polls to maybe give a us a boost.
It’s no different in the UK if forming a coalition, which is obviously very common in Sweden... They were never going to form a government immediately. However, we will know the outcome...
Yes, ..and we're hoping for a result on Monday morning..lol. I think they get four goes at forming a government, then if they can't they have to have another election. I wish we did that on referendums. :-)
I just read an article in one of our national daily newspapers that has surprised me. I hope it's not true. I remember being told umpteen years ago that we are not supposed to mention the names of newspapers in our posts so I'll just say "It's a fast train" ;o)
They say that the results for the Swedish election will be announced within 10 days of the end of the election.
That's all we need, another thumb twiddling wait. UK general election results are announced as soon as each individual constituency count is completed and we get the overall election results before the end of the day after all of the counts are completed. Can't the Swedes do anything in a hurry.
The only good news is that all of the final poll results look as though the Greenies are out of the picture and the two major parties will need the support of the pro mining group to be able to put a government together.
Wouldn't it be nice if the pro mining group said "Yes we'll form a coalition with you, the day after you agree to award the BEM permit" There's nothing better than a daydream on a Saturday morning, other than an ice cold Corona of course.
Cheers for posting that. Yes, we are not alone in our frustrations, unfortunately. I wish the Tertiary guys well.
Thank you, Unknown Soldier, that's a very interesting article...what a lot of money, effort and wasted time has gone into reindeer surveys in the North by companies who have been given exploration licences by the Bergsstaten.
Non-BEM news but worth the read.

I'm thinking of a rural town....
They reckon that the Sweden Democrats will have significant influence after the election whoever wins. They are pro mining...
And on that note, Sweden has finished +3.87% and 0.644kr
There is a great deal of positive sentiment on Facebook in respect of the Green Party and it's apparent impending electoral doom, but you just don't know. Coalitions rarely achieve a great deal, but it would seem that consensus politics are very common in Sweden...
I don't know when we get the results but, whoever gets in, if the Greens get below 4% this could double on Monday....
Election fever. Well, I'm going to wish Mr Lofven luck but I hope the Greens are for the compost bin. Good luck Mr Lofven, break a leg.
I'm watching... The volume has doubled also... nothing major though...+6.29% currently
