Al’s estimates of 5 million to 30 million per month took no account of any potential Medusa’s sales who can only supply our antigen test. They are canny operators who know how to make money and they have spent the last 12 months investing in production capacity up to 50 million tests a month that would dwarf our provisional monthly estimates. Thanks to our 2 sleuths yesterday we know it is our test they are developing and are almost ready to go. Underestimate Medusa if you want but they are the wildcard that could make them and us very rich
Is Big Al holding this knowledge back as a trump card in case things don’t go our way with the government? The silence is deafening.
It's been a while since I've looked at Medusa web site.
They have one test available to buy at £19.99 "The Rapid Saliva Protein Test (RSPT), from Medusa 19, provides results on the spot in 15 minutes. It is a lateral flow test (LFT) using a simple saliva sample to indicate the immune response to infection, particularly in patients who do not know they have an active SARS-CoV-2 infection and have no specific symptoms"
......and now has an AVCT section:
Medusa 19 has entered into a distribution agreement with Avacta Group plc, the developer of Affimer® biotherapeutics and reagents, for its COVID-19 rapid antigen test that is currently under development.
This agreement provides Medusa 19 with exclusive distribution rights to consumers and non-exclusive distribution rights to businesses.
I remain sceptical but hopeful when it comes to that lot. We’ve previously heard they were investing, hopefully that’s true and they stole a march on getting a boatload of Ginolis in place.
Kamani and Hughes both invested quite substantially last year around March/April both backing Avacta with a seven figure amount at around 18p.
Well it is obvious there is some serious cash to be made with a high quality test, with demand easily outstripping supply for the foreseeable future, which was always stated as the major hurdle by AS (manufacturing capacity).
Medusa have known Affidx was a high quality test for some time now, so I fully expect that they will have been looking at all options to maximise profitability. Richard Hughes confirmed that he invested £20m to introduce manufacturing capacity to Medusa, so I think its likely that they will be supporting Avct however, it is strange that AS has not referenced it??
After mentioning GAD, BBI & ABDX as our known manufacturers, AS says in Apr21 presentation:
"And there are other UK manufacturers that we would certainly hope to access"

For a bit of fun, I just had a look at 20 Dale St, Manchester on Google maps (I actually used to work around the corner many moons ago). So, there's protective boarding up around a significant portion of the building with major works going on, with Kamani Property Group logo plastered all over it. I happened to notice the wheely bins are temptingly accessible during the day (when side gates are open). Feeling on a bit of a roll, I'm finding it hard to resist silly notions coming into my head. I couldn't, could I? Robbo, what you up to tomorrow?
ScaredyCat, you’re not sounding very scared these days! ;-)

Better be quick! What day are the bins collected!?!?
Here you go, I’m sure you could sneak in...

Yeh, I'm sure I wouldn't be noticed snooping around there like a member of the Village People PL. Actually, it's just in the spot where the famous Foo Foo Lammar's night club used to be, so perhaps I'd get away with it.
Wiggly, I think the bins are empted on a Wednesday. That'd be today then wouldn't it?
You will be fine

Sorry I mean fined
No problem Rorkes, would just need another fund raise setting up for the bail.
trading4good, It's listed on Medusa's website as their head office. Also, noticed that Glassouse, Alderley Park is listed as their 'Scientific HQ'.
Yes, Boohoo are right across the road from Medusa on Dale St. Be handy for re-assigning some of the Boohoo machinists onto the Ginolis, whilst Boo's a bit quiet on the party frock front. Also got Genedrive around these parts. Great things happening in Manchester...including the footy!
C'mon Citeh! SK6 here so I'll look out for future missions..
Might even bring a copy of my buy at 3p *wink*
I was thinking that too Mr cricket
???
I'm printing the T shirts now - Free the Manchester Skip 2.
Insert big yellow fist
PS thank you for yesterdays efforts.
Scaredy, Medusa have security...

Brilliant ENTANGLED, really made me chuckle that.
By the way, my mate Christian says about Medusa "We're up to a supply chain of 100mil/month."

I'm going to dig around for his email address and email him the full LSE script of Wednesday's mission impossible (leaving out the bit about the bins, of course). I think he'll find it very amusing. At the same time I'll ask him for a copy of the usability questionnaire and ask him about the number of attendees at Alderley Park. Hopefully, he'll oblige as I don't think he'll see this as being confidential info.
