Hi all , I have been a silent reader of this board for nearly 2 months . I bought my first stake @ 1.70, then at 2.10. and then been topping up.on the downs. Im around 20% down on my total investment. This is the 1st share I have seriously bought. ( i have about £400 in amazon and apple shares that i bought at the start of lock down )
There have been times i have been worried and stressed , but i always reach the same conclusion, there is so much more going for this company than the covid , that i believe long term it will be fruitfull.
I have done my reaserch into the company, but i wanted to get some clarification, not that im being impatient, but have followed the share price increase in sona tech, and just wondered what relationship avacta may have with sona( if at all any ) Sona were always 3 or 4 weeks ahead of avacta schedule, i just wondered if we shoukd be using their price jump as an indicationof things to come. For what its worth, at this price I know i should top.up. But also all egga in one basket springs to mind.
Chet. Welcome aboard.
Your Amazon and Apple shares ar e solid choices which give you a base to enable a bit more adventure with Avacta. How many of each did you get - just for balance?
Great post again xyz. Joining all the dots from recent interviews, webinars, RNS' you can see why Conifer came on board after extensive research and will expect to see significant returns over the short, medium and long term. Should be a great Avacta week!
Good work xxxyyyzzz.
You are miles better than me at explaining how big Avacta are going to be.
Avacta are now being challenged on the Saliva Test, lets hope they get theirs out soon!!

The Guardian has also learned that the government is in advanced discussions with one of the biggest saliva test companies in the US about getting approval for its product to be used in the UK.
The California-based firm, Curative, which is run by an award-winning UK scientist, has told officials it can provide 100,000 tests a week immediately, with the potential for capacity to be massively expanded if it gets the go-ahead. The company is providing tests for the US air force and said it had carried out more than 300,000 tests in five states including Texas and California.

Sadly,
I think Avacta have now missed the boat irrespective of the size of the LFT market for Saliva based tests, we are now seeing new kids on the block, taking a toehold, and a first mover advantage is everyting in my book.
Jiffy bag you drip read the article avacta are mentioned let me reiterate again, you are a drip.
Curative? Who? This them? https://www.curativetest.com/faqs
Slow turnaround, expensive and US only. We’ve missed the boat in your book? Looks like we’re gonna need a bigger boat... and you’ve not even got a pamphlet.
Absolute pleb Jiffy bag.....one for the green box with more than single digit posts, Sadly not a rarity on this bb nowadays. Someone must be nervy about their short or future prospects for £5 a deramp
Wow chet you did well on Friday. Amazon went up 17% and are now $3200 each. Apple are stable at $383.

Say no more Squire
JDT1990.
Forget the Green Box my son, face reality!
Bottom line,
Avacta have lost First Mover advantage, IMHO, if they don't announce a successful test /Cytiva within days then the momentum will have been lost, that's my take on this scenario however big the market is.
Hi, rokes drift
Have to say I was a little nervous posting on the board,I was waiting for someone to shout.....
Have uou not done your research !!
I basically had 1k left in my revolut account ( my holiday account( after a vegas stag ) at the start of lockdown. And was a bit bored.
So put £400 into amazon and £300 in Apple. and £300 in amd. Im obviously up , but up! but its not really life changing. But it did get me interested in buying futher shares. I finally managed to set up a sipp, which i have been meaning to do for about 4 years.
Im roughly about 11k in avecta, I bought 2k Boohoo on a bit of gamble at 2.10 thks week. And I have another 3k spread across prudential, rentokil and lloyds. . So as you can see im in very top heavy into Avacta. I feel a bit like im at Alton Towers.. already been on a few rides, but now in the queue for the big one.. excited, nervous and impatient.
RD is shares like Amzn you can buy part shares on some brokers. Lots of small investors can’t afford full share. They are liquid enough that you can buy and sell easily.
Hi Chet. Good choices and good luck! I know there are a lot of us in heavily here on Avacta. I would encourage you to consider diversifying when you can - maybe with your next investments, or reallocating some when in profit? Your money though, so your choice, and good luck!
Jiffy, in reducing the Avact LFA to just a “saliva test” for comparison purposes, I am led to conclude that either you are disingenuous or ill-informed. All the saliva tests you have posted about are antibody or lab tests. Saliva is just the medium for the Avacta test. It’s real strength will be the rapid turnaround of minutes, not days.
Nice one Chet, AVCT has been great for a lot that bought in early and either cashed in or loaded up but dont get caught up in trying to compete with others as you might then end up putting too much in one basket, stay focused on your targets and hope it does well. We're all hoping AVCT does well. I've traded and done well but will go long now that I've amassed a sizable sum.
So full of ****!!! On friday 4.36 you said
"I'm out i sold out earlier when it was in the £1.20's the price is falling Monday will probably be a down day until news is confirmed"
So now you have a sizeable sum to go long with? Keep up with your fantasy trading it's embarrassing:)
ha ha ha mate this is a bb forum don't believe everything you read, nobody's here to make friends. We're all here to make money that's all. I've made money on this and that's all I care about not about pleasing numpties like you.
I might try this fantasy trading as it seems so easy and even if you get it wrong you can call a Mulligan !!
Christ, Global, you really are a chief clown, aren’t you?
How on earth does lying / fantasy trading on here help you to make money? Utter moron.
Ha ha fantasy trading, I've got real money
just because I don't fit into your mould of what the bb forum user should say and do I'm a fantasy trader. All I know is when I see my account I see good money in there. Theres some under in red because they got caught up in the rodeo but all I care about is capital preservation. Money is king and not being under as a lot are now.
All together now at Global.
"Share W***er"
That’s global filtered now
All the little ducks in a line
