"...going forward then it truly is a fantastic thing that AS and his team are developing. Certainly puts things in perspective."
Completely agree.
This board is toxic at times, funny at others and sometimes just like watching 2 kids fighting over something that 5 minutes later neither knows why yet continues for the sake of it.
If we forget about the investment we have all (bar the odd strange few that comment when not holding) for a minute and think what todays and previous ava6k RNS's actually could mean going forward then it truly is a fantastic thing that AS and his team are developing.
Certainly puts things in perspective.

It takes a big person to apologise, think we just have to be mindful what we post, especially when good news on cancer research.
Amen to that. Respect does not come automatically though, it has to be earned. Coolfree deserves respect for his apology but others have a longer way to go. They could start by washing their mouths out with soap and water.
Good luck to Tony F and let's hope and pray for success for the development of this science.
I think thats the point Prof, we do not know what each of us are dealing with away from this board, therefore we may not agree with each other but we can at least be respectful to each other.
Some are quick to judge coolfree, nice apology.
I’ll keep you in my thoughts and prayers Tony. Never give up hope.
Your attitude to life is to be admired.
Shown yourself up there coolfree.
coolfree's stock in trade is the nasty, cynical, sneering insult . . . to all readers of the BB. No attempt ever to add value or even present a counter argument. Quite the weirdest and most spiteful of all our FUD spamming trolls and loons. And it's up against some stiff competition there . . .
Can't believe it @coolfree, the level that you guys stoop to. @Tony it's such a shame you have to deal with these kind of comments.
Well said Tony
Shows what scum these trolls are.
Yes,Coolfree , when you’ve been battling cancer for three years any groundbreaking news like this does tend to raise one’s enthusiasm and hope. Unfortunately mine is terminal but I never give up hope that something will come along . Positivity is the key and living life to the full. I don’t want negativity in my life, I surround myself with positive and nice people, they keep me positive and make me feel better. Thanks for your support Zoom
Coolfree, Tony’s been quite open about having cancer & you’re calling him out for his enthusiasm?
I don’t think the market has got a grip yet as to the enormity of this RNS, it’s a gigantic step forward that’s could eventually be with £Billions.GLA
Any clinical trial or paper work that needs repeating ? How long does that take in your opinion if needed?
Bella are you saying they can just replace the antibody with any off the shelf omnicon antibody, or you feel that the screening testing etc has already been complete. That would imply that process was kicked off some time ago which begs the question why tell investors about the issue so much later than when the problem known.
Maybe they test for better antibody for all variants which would be a cool SOP.
Avacta has 'taken the decision to pause sales of the AffiDX® antigen test whilst it replaces the antibody'
REPLACES NOT RESEARCHES/FINDS/DEVELOPES/SOURCES A REPLACEMENT...
Marik...the big unknown is how long have they been working on it. Based on the RNS wording it sounds like they are at production switch out not lab tests. With the FDA highlighting potential issues with sensitivity with the Omicron variant some time ago, I can't believe Avacta have only just now decided to start looking for/researching an alternative antibody. As I said before if the search commenced a month or more ago, then this is purely a halt production, swap out, run and test based on in lab findings..if all OK then gear back up. My guess is about 2 weeks...providing production quantities of the new antibody are readily available and production outcomes are per lab findings.
The antibody swap required, is something which Abingdon are more than capable of doing. Glancing at some of the comments above I've realised that we are not all on the same page. This discrepancy in well thought out and researched investments was also previously on show when the mere presence of antibodies in the test caught some off guard. It certainly explains why this was oversold.
Not sure mkt will believe Al so prob have to wait for clinical trial results.
How long it takes is an issue because there is clearly no point in producing an LFT for a variant that is no longer a major threat. If the tweaking cycle is longer than the variant cycle then there is no profit in it.
Just saying.
Marik, can we agree it’s doubtful anyone else could produce a new LFD, ready for next phase, faster, However long it takes.
TK,
The sp will respond as soon as AS says the new LFT has been fixed and validated by Abdx manufacture test run and is thus available to the market, sales will follow later and will further enhance the sp.
Marik
Ok so what are the stages and therefore the timeline and will Omicron be old news by then?
Interesting to see some of the statements on this thread :-O but we all know that Abingdon have expertise in the subject.
Spot on Vegas, with I don’t rally give a **** about wild guess’. But I do really care about your thoughts Vegas. It’s really important that you approve what I write, cos I really really give a **** about what you think. I really do.
Not invested Vegas…..wish it was true, cos I could really get a nice average. Bargain to be had. Guess a few of us feel that way. Roll on Ava6k. Could really be awesome. LFD….anyone think it’s gonna change of lives in next 3 years ? Maybe, is someone big buys the rights(that would be so cool and not beyond bounds of possibility).
Deramp….do you agree with Marik then that adding a new antibody, getting approvals etc will be a walk in the park and money will start flowing within the next few weeks. Wow top. Good for you Vegas. I don’t mean to Deramp, just playing interference on the pump and dump lot. Something to do when I’ve finished looking down the back of a sofa for any spare cash to put into Avacta and I’m bored.
RD impression. I’m insulted. Nah, I’m much more sophisticated type of wit, a sharp and pithy as a grapefruit, as opposed to his blunt, course humour. Plus he’s a twat.
Ok. I get the jibe. But I’ll tell you anyway. It’s the name I’ve used on investment BBs for past 30 years.
But back to the topic in hand can someone who knows what they are talking about just list the stages Avacta have to go through before they can put Affidx back on the market. Then put a timescale on each one. Add them together and add another month for sales revenue to flow through and see what date we get.
The answer won’t be tomorrow or this week.
