Are BioServUK going to add a listing for us shortly?
Yes… Shortly :-)
Hey! How come you got a rec for "Shortly", but I didn't for "shortly".
It's the capital letter, wasn't it?
There you go. Just to even things up.
Huzzah. 2:1. Who'd have thought me more popular than PL?
Still, are we for sale, yet? I'm here for the long run, so a few more days doesn't make AVA6K not work, but really, we announced Calibre yesterday. How long does it take to add us to an online catalogue? It isn't like we have a massive stock list they need to integrate.
No fair, you begged.
I’ve accepted that there is zero urgency in this industry despite a pandemic. I think I’ll only post vacuous tautologies from now on. So, you answer your question directly… it’ll take as long as it takes. After all, we are where we are.
I think they might get in on sale in 2 022.
About 45 minutes time? Nice one, here’s hoping
I have a hunch, as many others have also said, Avacta might have had other news to release some time ago, or expected to release this news. I don’t think this come about and so they stuck to hosting the webinar.
Maybe, avoiding being late to his own webinar might have been worse type of comments.
So, the news of Calibre, it’s not a huge effort to get a listing on a webpage etc, can’t have taken a huge amount of time… so what if, he had this in the bank previously and just put that up for something rather than nothing that morning?
He didn’t deliberate on the subject in the webinar, so I don’t think it was a big deal for him.
So, what if when BBI couldn’t support, and initial capacity was too low, then this added to the reasoning for the gov extending innova EUA?
It seems strange to call the meeting just after the decision date, BBI, one of the biggest in the UK not “in” and a jaw dropping decision to extend innova 2 months when FDA ban?
It’s all a stretch, but logical for me that the extension of 2 months is to give Madusa time to get into action along with ABDX? The gov can’t select a test with 10 tests per day capacity when they need gazillions
Agree Ndn. Same thoughts over here.
Don’t underestimate BBI being involved in takeover talks at the time. Ordinarily you’d think they’ve cut off their nose to spite their face by not offering workable costings. However, it’s likely they’ll have wanted their margins to look as juicy as possible to be able to convince someone to pay £400m for them. I’d imagine the govt were also aware this was happening and so didn’t offer them any equipment. They didn’t have a huge throughput anyway, so I’m not seeing it as much of a loss. I’m not convinced by any link to a decision regarding innova. The shocker regarding innova is that the MHRA have allowed this charade to continue. It’s bonkers how long it’s taking to get the govt capacity installed, but that delay is probably the reason the govt pressured/ruled for that decision
PL, I just think the “Consortium” including the likes of BBI, ODX, ABDX, GAD, Mologic and the gov buying machines too are all linked and have a role to play in this sovereign test. We need them all to give capacity and work together to “Get there” innova has had such a head start on everyone and this is the first real product of an Affimer in an actual market, it’s bound to been a challenge.
Avacta can’t do this alone, and the manufacturing company’s can’t get to the right S&S with their product.
They all just need more time to get to the spot of taking over the gap that losing innova would cause. BBI would have been a loss, they were involved early on.
Yeah neutronic, I suspect similar, between the 29th and 3rd something changed, perhaps a lost or delayed contract that was expected, it did seem like sentiment changed, then conifer sold, luckily the EU CE news landed and dug us out of what looked like the start of a drop. This does tie in with the rumours around the extended COVID restrictions if you believe we’re still involved, I’m torn personally, Alistair’s obviously changed tacked and is now being slightly less bullish but, previous presentation we’ve had specific mention of selling to governments, this time they didn’t make the board, just “still engaged” saying that, I can’t see it being anyone else if they do go for a uk supplier
Not convinced on that Ndn. They’re working (“in discussions”) with the gov, so they’ll know this. The UK CV will be augmenting the released figures, whilst improving the decimal point on that Spec.
I’m convinced we’re test of choice for release/green light. Not sure on delays, but clearly HMG driven.
