that it doesn't take long for those shares that are sold to be subsequently acquired ;-)
I used to think I had a fair idea of the shenanigans of AIM brokers but when it happens on any of the shares I have held for quite some time it occasionally leaves me cold. Take APC quite a few ups and downs over the years with both the Company and the SP for many different reasons. Today we are led to believe by both Company and Stockbroker reports that the Company is lean and mean and returned to profit. We have no idea of the revenue expectation for the year but judging from the interims the revenue will fall and the NP will increase. Orders are thriving and profits are good so just a matter of maintaining the status quo and the SP should ultimately rise accordingly. Maybe this is the last chance for the major shareholders to top up and with the help of the MM's they appear to be doing just that. Forget what colour the trade is on LSE that large trade yesterday was certainly a buy IMHO with the MM happy to take a £7k commission for doing very little other than catching everyones stop losses by lowering the bid progressively during the week. Definitely not a stock for day traders but surely a chance to double your money in a couple of years if not sooner. If you trust the management it's a no brainer.
"Are they worth a punt" Let me be positive and say, IMO, they are not worth selling at this price!! GLA
Ha not been trading been busy with other things. I traded in and out of these when they were in the 20p range. Hope your good Fred? Are they worth a punt....
Where have you been for well over a year???
Was thinking about putting my toe back in the water here but price seems weak. Any thoughts guys? Is sentiment still poor?
I believe they are Fred. Several share BB's complaining that LSE's software does not accurately record transactions . See REDt for instance. The difference quoted on APC DUMMY sells and buys is 0.71%. Unusually small margins for the MM. Keep saying it but they must be collecting for a background buyer.
a MM with a sense of humour!! Are those trades today at 7.301 buys?
Gap down expected , lol.
Now a trader with a sense of humour at 1400hrs lol
Enjoyed reading that link to Shan,s page on codes. There are definitely times when codes are actually used as a message between MM,s. The 1 code is fairly reliable from my experience. In fact the night before our last RNS I posted regarding a 1 trade and low and behold next day, RNS. I take it with a pinch of salt on the whole but it keeps reader on their toes. Cheers Fred for the link.
Coupled with the fact that the SP has held relatively firm in the presence of persistent selling I am inclined to believe that there may be a shortage of stock. I tried a a dummy 250k sell today and still offered 7.25p. Perhaps another large buy order on the cards?
Hope so for those who are interested more info on codes below http://www.lse.co.uk/view-general-chat-thread.asp?forum=general&thread=1706356D-A363-4D84-A2E8-E74AAE0A1D81
Red 100 code. Dealer folk law - this stands for short on stock , more needed. If you believe message boards that is !!
Nice one! I'm sure it will all be worth the wait
RNS tomorrow then !
where the saying "its like watching paint dry" came from?
Reported record component orders in Q1 and broker upgraded sales forecast yesterday. Electrocomponents Group & Diploma shares up as a result. APC reported good component situation in H1
I know for a fact one of those 7.6p deals yesterday was a buy so probably all of them and today's so far. With several MM's dealing APC bound to be some differentials in their pricing and guess LSE indicate the extremes for Bid & Offer. Some strong holders of stock now and would not be surprised to see another Holding RNS anytime soon. Political uncertainty with election & scaremongering over Brexit may hold industry back but seems to me APC is being well received after several misfortunes in its quest for growth.
Cannot be sure if they are buys or sells but I,m pretty sure that with the price holding where it is we will be due a blue day soon. These trades are either being lined up to be bought or some of them are disguised buys. I,m confident that the next proper movement will be upwards. That's just an opinion based on the patterns we have seen lately.
Are the 3 transactions (2 x 7.60 and 1 x 7.615) totalling 256202 shares buys rather than sells?
Words of wisdom indeed. Good luck!
Never felt better since shutting down majority of the BBs on my LSE terminal - and then I started looking around at L2 data providers with deeper insight, so sadly once turning my back on the BBs I ended up cutting links with the whole site. But as I said will check in on BBs like this at critical junctures.
Why the exile? Surely no abuse and cowboys on this board. Balanced comment is always welcome and food for thought.
Anyhow - no offence to any regulars but I'm going back to avoiding BBs. Will hold here and maybe pop my head back in at major news on my LTHs. ATB everyone.
