Given this is yet another dividend day and this share has failed to set the heather on fire I ask is this a buying opportunity or is it a case of leave it for now? Based upon current price of 60.5pps AIRE is trading at a 28.15% discount to NAV (84.2) which was based upon August 23 RNS update. With a dividend of 6.045pps this equates to a very decent 9.99% return so certainly worthy of consideration. So the first two figures make for good reading or do they? Have to admit my average on this share is 72pps so in reality I am down (if I were to sell :-)) 15.98%. Though looking at the overall market we have had the normal summer dip so from next week I expect to see a return to normality and a slow and steady rise back to pre summer levels. Personally I am happy to continue buying as I think this will recover nicely and also continues to pay a very decent return. So in sum is this a steal or not? I guess only time will tell. Continued good fortune to one and all. Rgds, S
Seems like only yesterday since the last dividend but once again here it is. Time really is flying by!!!! Thanks AIRE for contributing once again to my portfolio. Still a firm believer in this share and still enjoying the very decent dividend return. This for me is one of those shares that you buy and just let it generate cash on a quarterly basis. Long may it continue. Continued good fortune to all AIRE investors, those considering buying in and those just watching. Rgds, S
Well here we are once again with yet another "Dividend Day". Money in the account and yet another welcome contribution to the coffers. A decent share, a decent return and a decent way to build up the contributions within an ISA. Continued good fortune to all AIRE investors, those considering investing in AIRE and to those just watching. Regards, S
It's tipped in investor chronicle
....but not sure why?
Dividend day once again and monies in the accounts already. Love the quarterly payout and this share pays out nicely. Not a share to set the world alight but one that gives a very decent and timely return. Thanks AIRE !!!! Glad to hold this one for the income. Continued good luck to one and all. Rgds S
Dividend of 1.375pps announced as normal. Xd 9/2 and paid 24/2. Targeting a year dividend of at least 5.7pps, to 30 Jun 23, which is a 3.6% increase on previous year. Thanks AIRE and keep them coming. Continued good fortune to all investors. Regards S
Here is hoping that 2023 see's a steady but decent rise in share price. Not going to set targets but I would like to see a decent rise for AIRE. Continued good luck to all on this board be you investors, potential investors or those just watching. Good luck and success to one and all. Per ardua ad astra!!!! Rgds Saintly
The last couple of days a decent sized sale has appeared around 14.45. The market maker is dropping the price each day to clear this stock. Best to sit on our hands until these sales stop then top up because the dividend is rather enticing.
Wow the euphoria from such a positive RNS was pretty short lived
Seems like only yesterday since the last dividend from AIRE but here we go yet again. Once again money in the accounts already and a good Friday it is looking like. Really enjoy the cash returns from REIT's dividends. Continued good wishes to investors, potential investors or those just watching. Rgds, Saintly
Indeed, makes very good reading. Solid performer, great dividend, will look to add here when possible.
Now that's my kind of RNS
Adv - The ice cream will taste so much better when you actually get it. I am with ii and they are generally on top when putting in to your account. Long may it continue. Continued good fortune to you and may those dividends appear at the earliest opportunity. Rgds S
You are lucky @saintly. I had 15 dividends due today. I received 6.
One missing from Jarvis Xo. Eight missing from I.Web, including one still not received from two days ago.
No ice creams this weekend !
Another dividend day is once again upon us. Money in the account first thing this morning. For me this is another one of those shares to add to your portfolio and just enjoy the regular income. Great way to add extra funds to your ISA account if you have topped out on your allowance. Continued good fortune to one and all be it as investors, potential investors or just watching. Rgds S
Nicely back in the black now after some cheap lockdown purchases and the Div on it's way to 5.5p is as juicy as it gets
Div heading up to 5.5p, NAV on the up, consistent and inflation linked rent collection.
Few more heading in to my portfolio
In the last few months I have been encouraged to diversify and look for better returns (about time I think lol) for my portfolio. Was pointed in the direction of reit's and added this to my list. A very decent return of over 7% so happy to continue topping up at this price and for the return. Wish I had discovered reit's long before now but now I am a believer (no reference to the Monkees!) I am in :-) With this sitting in an ISA it makes sense to get best return on your money and this share does not disappoint !!!!! If you want a decent return then this is one to consider. Good fortune to one an all be you either investor in this hare, potential investor or just reading the board. We are all here with one goal and that is to increase our wealth. Hope this gives you all food for thought and wishing you all well whatever choice you make.
Thanks Teela - was wondering what had pushed it today, and you've answered that below. Those patient enough to sty in, and/or brave enough to buy more on the falls are now being rewarded!
Simon Thompson of Investors Chronicle has released an update regarding one of his tips Alternative Income REIT.
He provides a review of the company's property holdings and rent collection.
The article points out that the shares, at 71p, are :
at a 15.5% discount to the EPRA NAV;
yield 7% which compares well to a sector average of 4.7%
have dividend cover of 1.25x
He has retained a target of 80p as the discount decreases although he does wonder why the shares might be at a discount to peers.
Whilst probably not a bad acquisition it is neither alternative or long lease. It will help with returning the dividend back to 5.5p but I hope having retail in the portfolio doesn't increase the discount to asset value!
...bad luck for those who tendered them away....!
