well, its having a look at 134p (ATH), looks to be an interesting day!
OK, got it
Did I Phantom? what did I say? (genuinely I don't remember) I don't normally disparage others investments strategies. (I do think LTBH is an extremely risky one but as I say I don't normally personalise it)
Was it the length of time you had held that I was highlighting against the increase in the price in that time?
Bojo a few weeks ago wyndrum personally criticised my strategy of LT holding, I was using my voice to point out the advantage
Night, is that Hmmm as a humming sound or a poster called Hmmm
Phantom, Firstly I was not aware of AGL last year.
Secondly when I called it over bought at 110p it was at a recent all time high so I had no indication of where it was going chartwise (except probably down), as it was, it inched up to 114p over a couple of further days before falling to 107p and then pretty much took off to 116p (It was not my intention to top up at that time anyway, my funds being allocated elsewhere.)
This fall today was quicker and more pronounced than I expected so I decided to reallocate funds on the fly to take advantage as 134p is now the target figure for further gains.
I don't normally comment on my personal trading decisions, because it really does not matter to anyone and in truth it can't be proved and it can cause more fuss than its worth on a BB.
I only mentioned it today because of the difficulty in getting the deal done (HL) it was suggesting I could buy at 123p before eventually letting me in 10 mins later at 125p. It was that experience that suggested to me the fall might be over and therefore worth mentioning.
Now now Phantom!
If anybody buys a ticket (shares) they deserve a voice IMO.
Wyndrum why didn't you top up last week at 110p surely your charts would have told you the SP was going up, or better still topped up last year at 40p,
Yes Wyndrum,
Maybe that was a reasonable sized order being filled and good luck to them! Like you say it will dip between gains so we may all get a chance to add if we wish to take it. I think you did well as my money was primed for £1.25 but tried to get in on the £1.22's
I managed to top up just now at 125p after 10 minutes of trying so hopefully the fall is over
Honestly think both platforms are poor. If shares were available then it would be on Interactive, but cash used in that one. Frustrating but then maybe I will get a better deal after a take the dog for a walk.
IG is the same, no quote
aGL
Cant buy £3K but it is on Fidelity so should expect little else...
Still plenty have left in my new ISA with average of 74p but I do not wanna averaging up with false entry at 129p even if I am here for the end game. I have not got researcher1 magic trading tree. For me much easier calling a bluff on the river than this one :)
aGL
It would make a lot of sense to book interview on the day when the questions are finally answered.
aGL
I asked the universe splitter if we get RNS tomorrow or not and it says yes, but on the first attempt the data get stuck at Geneva then unexpectedly quit. It has never happened before. So...?
aGL
Yes, tomorrow morning would be good.
whereas I hope we'll hear in the morning....
Hopefully AN will give us an update on the FDA resubmission at tomorrow evening’s Proactive Investor Forum.
Well my crazy random theory is that AN has been buying even more (tongue in cheek). No need for a tr1 so prove me wrong!
fair comment Jelenko, and I largely agree with your 'randomness' view, but yesterday's move seemed anticipatory, and there is market stress today (especially crypto) so I can see viable reasons.
......and if you said TIME in today's 'missing word' competition - as in, "take your time" - then give yourself a pat on the back :-)
The perspective through which I'm viewing the resubmission is, they said "May" and it's reassuring to think of the AGL scientific staff meticulously working away in the background to ensure they don't drop the ball at this final hurdle. Take your and do it right.
Don't agree with that Researcher. This is more about MM's habits than traders trying to be smart. Nobody ever really knows why prices oscillate but people just make up their own reasons when in fact there is likely no reason. My reason is it's Wednesday and it always drops on a Wednesday, or its 19th of the month and as we all know it has a mid to late mid month retrace. It actually doesn't really matter because in the case of AGL it's likely best to sit on your hands ond not try to be too clever trading. As we know 80% of retail traders lose money, fact.
traders disappointed the resubmission RNS hasn't dropped I expect miavoce. I confess I was expecting it too - or tomorrow...
