Hoping 2024 finally brings good news.
Another tick for the need and huge demand for gas in Tanz.
https://dailynews.co.tz/rising-demand-for-green-energy-boon-for-economy/
An example of what happens if you don't do your job. The whole board at TANESCO has been dissolved due to power outages. Maybe they need some gas to generate electricity.

Probably got the Minister and the AG asking what a cubic feet of gas is.. amongst all the other daft questions.
Trouble the Ministers have is if they are in some way obstructive then they risk losing investment. Therefore the country will stay as is and the Tanzanian voters get fed up and vote in a different government that can deliver. Sure the AG and Ministers can ask questions..but what expertise would they have when it comes to commercial agreements other than the legalities or the outcome..none I would say, hence the experts who have done the negotiating make the recommendation.
again, agreed means nothing. the government bodies, attorney general or cabinet of ministers, will have the time to read and pick up on missed items or ask queries, it's their job. do you think they're going to just sign something, put their name to it willy nilly. i certainly don't in my position. if i had to sign something off as high profile as that you're damn straight i'm reading it. and as you said, it's tanzania, if you f@*k, you're out on yer ****!
my opinion is the cpr was requested by government/tpdc prior to any sign off irrespective of what was "agreed"
How old are you PoC ?
It would be career limiting for any Minister or AG to not carry out the policies of the government. Pretty simple.
But surely winalot you cannot claim to be surprised?! Those of us with a that have critically observed events of the last 14 years will have seen it coming a mile off.... so much for FOMO eh?
Winalot. Anything that has been approved goes to the AG or Ministry as a recommendation for it to be signed. It's recommended. So if the AG or Minister has any queries they get clarification, but the recommendation is to sign, so there's no reason why a Minister or AG wouldn't..unless they want to do the negotiating on agreements themselves, which i doubt they would have the time or expertise.
Even if it's government policy?. Is that why the UK is in such a mess..the woke Whitehall blob getting in the way..?
In Tanzania, if you don't do your job as the president says, you get suspended indefinitely.
Why people still choose to believe things like, "GSA agreed waiting approval" is concrete is beyond me. Not one piece of info mentioned in the Sept 29th RNS has happened as "promised" by end of year.
Something being agreed means nothing until it is actually a signed off document. Not the end of year sp I anticipated but hey ho, we are where we are, which is isn't much further forward. Next missed deadline is the CPR by year end. Let's go for a full house AEX!
I don't want to be pedantic but having worked in Whitehall and business for decades know only too well that if a proposal or draft is 'waiting for sign off' by Ministers or executive officers it has NOT [yet] been approved - however positive the recommendation from officials to their Ministers.
GAS has been approved. Just waiting for sign off from attorney general along with minister of energy sign off for the already approved Field Development Plan and Licence Extension..these are formalities.
Whatever how much gas they got.if no gsa no drilling no sell.worth zeros.
PoC - I think "Have you seen how much gas is presumed" might be a more accurate statement.
Let's hope 2024 brings news and progress; and a reprieve on this board from the ridiculous speculative ramping, personalised attacks and naive interpretation of AEX statements of intent as 'facts' which has prevailed in the absence of news flow (let alone gas!) through 2023.
More like 1.5p. Have you seen how much gas is found.
0.5coming soon .shame for aminex management
At this price it's a killing for the new year and beyond.
Rojo - rowing back or his usual sardonic stuff......
As slippery as ever !
No point releasing good news now prior to Christmas tbh
Right after new year would be good.
SP is struggling isn't it ?
Still I'm sure it will bounce back once we have favourable 3D seismics and CPR.
AEX should correct any timing of the 3D results if it's different from their previous guidance. Assuming it will be released this week or next week.
Don’t know if they’ve changed any energy policy prosiccuto but it is stated in the Tanzanian news 14/12/23, the first 100km of pipes have arrived in Dar e Salam.
For the 3D results we'ere looking at an upgrade of gas in place and confirmation of 8TCF estimated on 2D by ARA Petroleum. Deeper channels and lobes extending further than imaged in 2D can increase this further along with the deeper Jurassic target being imaged by the 3D, which can indicate the fluid properties and whether it's oil generated from the source rocks.
