888 was an easily recognized brand name. I understand that they want to decouple the holdings group from the core brand but Evoke doesn't really do much to "evoke" much enthusiasm
HIt a trim so did a slight one. This is heading towards £1.
RNK on the move too, a few buys and it will go to 80p from 67 - tim eto add when the price is low.
I guess the rich americans are now rolling out of bed and starting to buy.
Given the turbulence, I think the results are good. A year of steadying the ship and planning the next route.
Acting like a Harrier today - vertical jumping
Guess any suitor would need to pounce soon.
Good to see the up move being confirmed.
Spot on Mary. What a waste of time, effort and money on a naff name change. Results okay but debt still too high.
Hopefully not , go broke with evoke
Results not great imv , when compared with Flutter BUT the strategy looks compelling and if the market buy into the optimism we could get a decent rise here , more so than with fltr which has growth priced in to some degree. [ I hold both 888 and fltr]. We shall see.
Agree re the name, and when it comes down to it every time the Company is mentioned in the press it'll be Evoke (formerly 888) so they may as well not bother.
Nice year on year comparisions + 41% ebitda
Morning confluence
Will be adding on weakness.
# Seems to be inline with the Jan RNS - but no fireworks nor disasters so on track
# Name change to evoke ! OMG - I remember abdn name change so not a fan - at least "Flutter" & "Entain" are creditible.
Go woke with evoke ! Geez.
My preliminary - @MaryBr, might have to wait before this bird soars - might rest on its lowly perch for a little? longer but GLA.
Going to soar tomorrow. Well overdue. But the dips.
I could see the SP doing tomorrow what it did after the last quarterly results announcement. However for me the SP already reflects the comments on performance, and expectations which were shared last time.
If there is a knee jerk reaction tomorrow cos there is not a wave of positive news, and the SP crashes significantly again like it did the last time then this is definitely a play again
I have witnessed this SP crash to late 60s / early 70s a few times...and within 4-6 weeks it has been back to 90p.
Therefore if it dips tomorrow I'm buying again.

Debt reduction should be the top objective. Any sniff of a dividend could put these gains into reverse. Any news on unlocking new markets/ leveraging tech to help could really help lift this back over £1
I think every penny should go into paying down the debt at this stage. Good progress on that will save money and make this much more attractive as both an investment and a takeover target.
Is there any likely chance they will reinstate the Divi? Would certainly boost the price. I suspect that the Willian Hill stores are trading well post lockdown.
Exceptionally great news although "escape" is a very pejorative word to use.
This had seen former Entain PLC (LSE:ENT) executives, Kenny Alexander, Lee Feldman, and Stephen Morana, buy a 6.57% stake in 888 through investment vehicle FS Gaming.
Plans were then revealed for the trio to take charge of 888 through the roles of chief executive, chair and chief financial officer, which would likely have taken their holding to over 10%.
Thanks 888
Me too but having bought a shed load at 80/81 last week, the 92p plus was a time to trim. Will buy back of course. Next week would not want to be short of stock just in case.
Was at Chepstow Races yesterday and see William Hill have taken over the betting shop from BritBet. Interesting to know if thy have taken over all BritBet franchises across the country - that could see a good increase in revenue..
