I see there's been a significant reduction in short positions recently.....hopefully there is bit of positive news generated over the next quarter and this SP can begin to grow again.
Wonder at the potential suitors still interested and circling?
I am not expecting this quarters results to be good....both Aintree and Cheltenham were not good for bookmakers unfortunately.
Hopefully we don't dip too far.
Still want to see this rally past the 90s again at some point.... I think results are already built into this price.
Surely a positive? And this news was already discussed a while ago.
Wonder why the negative reaction from the market today.
Unfortunately we didn't get to stay around the 93p mark.....would have been a very nice result on the day
Some of GDR's posts on linkedin are embarrassing. I am a long(ish) term holder who has been hit hard in the pocket on this one.
What frustrates the life out of me, is that I work in sales and my performance is judged on sales. My base salary is there, but if I am not performing I am out the door, and my base salary is irrelevant.
My performance is based on revenue growth, and profitability growth, and developing new business channels,
Then I look at GDR's linkedin and they are praising their employees openly for their performance??
Business Development Managers of which there seems to be 2, Commercial Officer, CEO..........how can they openly praise these people?
I would absolutely love a brief on what they do day to day, and what the ROI is on their salaries.
I could see the SP doing tomorrow what it did after the last quarterly results announcement. However for me the SP already reflects the comments on performance, and expectations which were shared last time.
If there is a knee jerk reaction tomorrow cos there is not a wave of positive news, and the SP crashes significantly again like it did the last time then this is definitely a play again
I have witnessed this SP crash to late 60s / early 70s a few times...and within 4-6 weeks it has been back to 90p.
Therefore if it dips tomorrow I'm buying again.
Why do Genedrive keep announcing relationships with distributors all over the world for their products, yet do not announce any sort of sales progression?
Also why are these Distributors signing agreements with Genedrive, with Genedrive's current cash position?
I do feel sometimes it's just a lot of bluffing going on by GDR's Management and employees.
Smoke an mirrors until the doors close, in order to justify wages.
I wish it wasn't the case as I have lost a lot of money in here......but why aren't they making announcements of progress...especially after the promises by Cheek in the December presentation.
Does this look like the news coming at the end of March isn't going to be that positive?
I know that some people are saying this is how 888 SP operates.....but any time I've seen it drop this consistently and quickly from 100p, there's been news to follow.
And normally not ideal news, then it takes a further sharp dip.......and re-rallies again.
Hitting 100p only 10 days or so ago, I really thought we were on the road to 120p + but we have list over 1p a day off the SP price now for the last 10 days, and dropped near 20%
For some reason this is a pattern with this share.....spikes quite a lot on the morning before 9am, by about 5/6p then comes straight back down again.
It's strange and not something I would see too often on other shares.
When I looked this morning we were back up to 91p.
It was around the 1st March I bought in last year at 22/23p....I bought £11k worth of shares. They are now worth a fraction of that.
From 1st March last year to the 17th March this share grew from 23p to 43p.........which is probably when I should have cashed in then.....but what I would do for another positive run this March.
It's badly needed,
It's a little bit frustrating that this time last week we were looking for an SP over 100p,....and now we are back to 86p.
Was hoping by end of March we'd be 120p.
Strange that we should lose nearly all the gains from the last two weeks in one day.....maybe we are going to hear some news
Bit gutted we didn't hold at the 100p....always tomorrow to get back above it and stay above it over the weekend.
I wouldn't be selling
Surely theres a few short positions feeling the sting right now.
Another 5% raise this week in SP would take us over the £1 again which would be great to see......once we get past that who knows what the potential is.
I could see some takeover news / rumours towards the end of April.....but am prepared to wait as long as it takes to achieve 150p+
Again, this week if we can get to the weekend over 95p......it puts us in a good position going into next week on the back of another 5% + rise in SP.
Would be more than happy if we keep ticking along at that rate until a buyer starts sniffing around again.
Lile - thank you for explaining.
Lile - maybe I am being really stupid here, so correct me if I am......but if the lowest the share price has been is 51p over the last 12 months.,....then it doesn't matter how high you sell your shares at....your average cannot be below 51p?
Or am i missing something......the lowest average you can have is between the lowest value you have bought for ( i.e 51p and another number - depending on what you have sold at?)
Hi Marybr,
Was this share ever at 23.14p?
How did you achieve that average?
The lowest I've ever seen it was in 2011 at 28p.
