I’m with Barclays stock brokers. They do not trade on the market, so it’s a problem.

Good old Gemini gave me the following advice which I think is quite relevant:

Even if you opt for the "Share" route, you will almost certainly end up with cash in your Barclays account anyway.

The major difference is certainty vs. market fluctuation:

If you pick the Cash Alternative, you know you are getting a flat 52p per share (subject to scale-back caps). 

If you pick the Share Option, you are gambling on whatever the value of Bally's Intralot shares happens to be on the Athens exchange on the exact day the deal closes, minus whatever foreign exchange conversion fees Barclays tacks on.

It tells me to look out for corporate actions as they will appear in the coming weeks to months and basically seems to suggest that I should pick the cash option as this will be more of a certain thing Water than a gamble and by God I am finished with gambling and especially with gambling companies!

All I can say is that you don’t know me and sometimes people do use humour to get through life. It helps many of us. ( Indeed as with a lot of humour, there is a serious message within my joke - the triviality of RR wealth when you loose your health). The markets know that the looney left who are threatening Labour’s leadership may pivot on defence spending and energy ( nuclear). They want a welfare state which will collapse without a strong economy. Starmer may lack charisma and a backbone but despite his portrayal he is not a looney. The looneys want to take over, hence the bonds, hence the FTSE drop….

Just sold 50% of the shares I had bought on the dip with a 10% profit. Need to keep some cash handy in the event of further dips, 😂 with Tango still here but no harm in a little profit.
