I think we need someone to set up a shareholder action group for expansys, maybe we can contact other investors who have major holdings and see if we can all hold to make Peter Jones may more then he wants to. Any ideas ? 1st post on this board however have over 1,000,000 shares in expansys myself.
and who is the chairman of Hibu - Bob Wigley - coincidence??
16,000 holding............every little helps as they say.
40,000
thanks for teh link. Maybe that is why MedDeb just increased their holding to 10%. They averted the compulsory buyout but are prepared to hold the shares in the delisted company (if that happens) since the delisted company may still be profitable to holders in future.
ok so already we can account for around 3.4 million shares that wont be sold - keep the news coming, the more there are of us the more chance there is that we will see the return we should - admittedly when I do not know but we cant just roll over!
If you intend to 'hold' don't forget to change the 'Opinion' combobox to 'Hold' This will alert new readers and posters of this thread that something is afoot, and might also convince other shareholders to hold (rather than to simply cave in to bullying tactics to sell based on fear and lack of knowledge of the situation)
Superb. At this rate, by COB we might even be able to account for 1% of "us little people" holding.
2,130,490 here and definitely holding

Only 100,000 here, but not selling
You won't owe anything further to PJ in the future. If he wants your shares he has to pay you.
Between ccrobins and myself we have around 1,000,000 shares. This amounts to just less than 0.1% of the shares in issue. I still refuse to be bullied though. If you intend to also hold, please continue to report your holdings.
Only 180,000 here but I am not selling them.
I agree entirely with ccrobins. My holding is 500,000 and I will not settle for 0.62 Let's weigh-in, people.
Can we try and get a consensus on here to calculate what we can bank on? e.g. I have around 450,000 shares and I will not accept the 0.62 offer. we maybe able to account for a few percent on here - do you think?
I refuse to be bullied. I am holding. I hope that there are enough like-minded investors to prevent PJ having an easy route to his delisting plans to massively profit from XPS investors' collective misfortune. So say we all!
Thanks for your reply it's £2000 I have at 7p still not shore what to do ha ha! If I hold am I in danger of owing pj money in the future ?
really not sure what to do, threadneedle and MD give me hope but I suspect the reality is whilst PJ CBE may not get 90% he will get 75% and so de list which means if I don't sell I may never see my money again. I hate giving into bully tactics but cant really see a way out here. This happened to me once before with a share and I gave in (morson group). I suspect its time for me to give up on shares - I really thought I had something with this one - obviously I did as PJ CBE is going to make fortunes!
You could in theory sell them, if you can find somebody who wants them, through a private broker I think. But you are right we would be stuck with illiquid shares. As shareholders we would still be entitled to see company reports etc. Not sure but maybe we can still go to shareholder meetings and heckle Peter Jones from the back. It might be worth 3 grand for the entertainment if we could do that.
Thanks Carlton, its a tricky one and I am certainly stubborn plus I am inclined to gamble and wait. If he does de list however what happens to us? I assume we continue to have shares in the company and given he isn't doing this for fun its likely the value of the shares would go up however we couldn't sell them?? they maybe worth more but what good would they be?
ccrobins. I invested a similar amount as you. Be aware that MedDeb have bought more shares above the offer price and currently have about 10%. If they don't accept the offer (and logically I can't see why they would when they just paid 0.65p since the offer) PJ can't get 90%. Threadneedle Management also had about 5%. Depends what they do. PJ is relying on uncertainty and fear. He is bullying the shares out of minority holders. But also be aware that if enough holders give up he has a chance to get 75% and then he can delist the company. You will still have your shares but no direct means to sell them. I'm sorry, I'm afraid no-one can really tell you what to do for the best. It's up to you but I am not accepting the offer. I will sit and do nothing and see what happens. I don't want to lose 3K either but I don't like being bullied and blatantly ripped off, especially by a Commander of the British Empire.
apologies as to be honest I don't understand shares that much but I had hoped I had something that would flourish with XPS although I am doubting this now. over the last 2 years I have been buying bit by bit and have averaged out at 0.7. I haven't spent masses although 3k is a lot to me. from what I am reading I either accept the 0.62 offer or if I reject and PJ gets 90% of the company then I am forced to take 0.62 - is that correct? If he doesn't get 90% what happens? I suppose what I am asking is if I reject then as far as I see it my shares will either be compulsory purchased at 0.62 or if PJ doesn't get what he needs then surely the shares would go up in value? if I reject 0.62 is there a chance I could lose more money?
It's your decision for now .. unless PJ gets sufficient holdings to compulsorily buy all the shares. If you don't need the cash and you have the patience it could be worth sitting on it for longer to see if it lifts, especially since you bought at 7p, though I can't see it recovering to anything like those levels in the near future, even if it stays public. 2000 shares at 0.6p is barely going to cover your transaction costs of selling!
