I just bought some again Jed, the fact that you have really makes me question it though.
Hopefully your chaos theory coin to55 trading has improved over time..?!
Now looks such a great buy so just topped up, must see 85p again soon.
Last 5 days 78 to 72
And you think it won’t go below 70
Open your eyes man
Gap from results day filled - let's see how the sp behaves from here on. For the bullish case, we need to get up to 90 area on the weekly and break through it. That would imo activate the bullish divergence.
We got there last month
And now it’s tanking
70p is likely the very floor and major support. Happy to wait decades for the sp to raise whilst collecting a juicy 10% yield.
Any weakness below 70p would be a welcome top up opportunity, but I doubt we will get there.

Vod goes down regardless of a bear market fact
Avo come over to this side the grass is greener
Jax, ftse100is down 0.8% premarket. Doesn't take a genius to work out the likelihood of a drop.
But where are your 50s you promised us months ago.
And have you sold your shares yet?
This is on the leaderboard today and we all know deep down which one risers or fallers
Thinking about puttin £100 on lyyods shares too get thah nice divi.
Any one ells think thah wood be good ideah?
Think it goes ex dividend on the 3rd but not curtain about thaht date tbh.
GLA DYOR don't put off a ruby doo
Avocet. Sorry to dissagree with you, but market cap is not based on earnings, it is based purely on the current share price. The sp is of course based on many things, but basically on what the market thinks the shares are worth. No point having an argument with jax unless you know what you are talking about & vice versa. You say up, he says down, time to move on I think.
Jax where do you get your info from. I have just looked up vods total asset value for 2023 as being 161 billion dollars, down 9.5% from 2022. Why do you make things up, it makes you look very foolish. Of course these valuations are very complex & open to debate, but with respect you seem to be negative just for the sake of it.
Vod's market cap is based on the current sp times the shares in circulation. So jax try & make sense please , so obviously not £5bn.
Jax, of course we are aware of what a rubbish share this has been, i know it danielh knows it fleccy knows it etc.
the only thing to think about now is do you think it will improve from this current low price
we all know Porsche1946 is a crazy man just like our resident gutter, but there is some sense in what he says, think about it?
I'm a long term investor here, that's a short term trade gone wrong, but I'm still hoping i can recover some of my losses here
Jax, you are showing your stupidity. Mcap is not calculated on assets Vs debt. It about the earnings you Dumbo. And the earnings are huge.
Again just sell your shares and invest in something that you like.
So Jax, why don't you then just sell your voda shares and move on? Would that not be a sensible thing to do?
VODs assets worth about £45bn
Less £40bn debt
£5bn mcap - 75% overvalued at current sp
Watch this drop - compounded by rate rises
You can’t blame the current economic outlook, Vod has been on the decline for years and years and years
Vod is a dinosaur has been
Not having a go at Vodafone in particular, just looks like another disappointing year for shares in general, does anyone have any shares that are doing well right now, if so please let us know , can't wait to dump a load of mine, but need to get them back in profit first
'No prospect of this business (with €155Bn assets across 190 countries) drying up in the next 5 years.'
€155BN of assets is the historic cost. The market cap is £20Bn and net assets significantly higher than that.
Most of the historic cost has depreciated and there are no major capex programmes in sight, except perhaps the approval to merge 3 and Vod and 5G investment. With 11% yield its looking very good compared to ...well, anything else?
Nice drop in US
Downward momentum will continue tomorrow
Should be a continual decline this week
Terminal bladi bladibla dog terminal blah blah...blah bla terminal
10.66% dividend. Crikey, even higher if the SP drops.
No prospect of this business (with €155Bn assets across 190 countries) drying up in the next 5 years.
Let the reported cash flow and outlook speak for itself. Ignore the SP if you are in long term imho
'I took the div as income when the SP was 77p last week. '
Well done, nice!
