What part of this meeting are you not understanding Saluc...Zan TM .. drewstevo?
We are not suggesting that the executive team is removed but we are suggesting that a new board is appointed to oversee the executive team. We are also proposing to bring TSG back which would mean an end to pranagraf taking most of our graphite on the cheap and selling it on. Anyone who is not in favour of these changes is either a Shishir monkey or they are out to destroy shareholder value. The fact 2 of the non exec directors are prepared to return says it all...they were pushed out by Hitler.. by that I mean shishir of course since insuders tell us he has become a large headed egotistical ruler filled with self greed. Do some research .. and Saluc you should ask shishir for a pay rise since all the rubbish you dream up takes a fair bit of imagination...DYOR
Good point tbf Saluc, and at least 2 of the group seem to know each other well with extensive history between them together, have they worked with the 2 previous NEDs in the background for a while to lower the share price and lower sentiment through noise online on here and Twitter etc and fed information to each other to build up to this? Seems like the lower sp has suited their interests?
They sound a bit murky when I think of it like that not sure if I like their approach, do they each have integrity anyone know from their previous roles? That share prophets articles seemed to suggest a couple of them are a bit dodgy. Even by using share prophets as a news outlet suggests you’re dodgy it sounds like.
Saw some interesting graphite news, still think prices are on the move just need a link to a forecast or something if anyone has one please share.
100% Saluc.
From my side it feels like unexperienced, impatient investors throwing their toys out of the pram with this move.
1: If they succeed, Poddars likely sell stake and that would create so much selling pressure SP would likely drop another 50% from here, if not more maybe.
2: If they succeed, Poddars experience (which is actually very good) is lost and gone and those suggested to replace don't look as experienced with Graphite.
3: If they succeed, two previous directors would be back on the board, yet ironically were board members during the large SP drop, yet didnt have the abilities to stop it, so why are they suddenly going to be better.
4: The whole process eats us time and money distracting the company from getting on with other, more vital work.
5: The coup group so far has only succeeded in lowering the SP for everyone else.
6: With only 5.8% extremely unlikely they could ever win, so again, a waste of time and company money.
If the resolutions are passed, who will run TG at executive level?
We are not suggesting that the executive team is removed but we are suggesting that a new board is appointed to oversee the executive team. This would be a godsend as Shishir would have to get OUR house in order and do it quickly. He has made far too many mistakes some of which he has repeated over and over. Either run the company for everyone who has invested in TGR or get out and let us pick our own leaders. Its that simple....Oh and it must be done IMMINENTLY!!!
HarChris, I remember someone emailing Shishir asking about the company being taken private. He denied and was more worried about a hostile takeover. Is this it?
Good lord you can’t be serious, you think he should have gave you a warning about the placing? Naive is putting it politely.
You said about trading update, I told you when last years was. Not operational update.
It's a tricky one this for me. On the one hand it's clear Shishir is difficult to work for and is possibly not up to the job of growing TGR into the entity it could otherwise become with competent leadership however some of what is being demanded and claimed seems to me, disingenuous - front and centre is the supposed lack of independent directors yet the only reason for that is because Isabel and Murat resigned, leaving Shishir with no choice but to install whoever he could which was essentially his only two senior corporate employees (his daughter and Alastair)
So Isabel and Murat make up two of the four proposed directors that TGR supposedly badly need yet they were already on the board and chose to resign... so why not be more honest and simply say they don't think Shishir is fit to run the company plain and simple rather than using the excuses they have which they themselves forced.
How about brokers resigning , directors resigning , saying no placing then diluting at ridiculous price - operational update was 9th April last year. Shishir is a clown unlikely accounts will get signed off on time like last year
Also since the “kids” have been running around, the SP spiral stopped and even recovered slightly. Isn’t that what you want?
Last years was 9th may.. less than 2 weeks time. Not rocket science to guess roughly when the next will be.
Wrong use of the word “imminently” correct but receiving the VAT refund is actually out of their hands. Try to remember they are dealing with the Madagascar Government.
Is this why the Poddar’s must go? Using wrong terminology, or as it’s more likely they were expecting the VAT refund imminently but let down by the Mad Gov.
I am a supporter of getting Shishir to clean up his act which he clearly isn’t capable of with the kids running around, nearly two months since this imminent VAT refund, no trading update just a string flakey RNSs
You’re obviously a supporter of this coup, what is your goal? What do you think will happen if the Poddar’s get outed? Do you think they will keep their shares or dump them? Can you see further than your nose?
Kid graduates and is appointed to the board within a year , where did the money come from the buy the shares ?
Another one of poddars kronies
Wow just seen the news. Actually originally bought this for a trade but wow does this requisition group actually think they can do better than the team that built the entire thing? TG is still a massive capacity producer no? opportunist from these 4 methinks to ride the wave!
What’s the risk of replacing the current management? who will actually bring operational delivery etc? Share price down 4% today suggests not many people think this new group could fix things?
Still looking for a link to graphite prices btw pls
It will be interesting to see if a GM is agreed even though the Broker who is Trustee of shares, has made the request. Another AIM co had a similar request which Brokers would not support, hence the Execs denied a request for GM.
The group of shareholders here have cleared one hurdle and who knows if granted will gain further support from Shareholders not in the Group.
TGR to all intense and purposes is a Family Business, too remove the Poddars with their shareholding will be difficult, unless he Group who have instigated this move have some evidence of inpropiety.
There certainly needs o be change here as the way management is operating could leave us penniless.
The one positive from today, I managed to top up at a price I didn’t expect to see again. Enjoy your weekends!!
Whatwhatkid, “ What did they expect when appointed a bunch of kids on the board”
The “kid” brought shares and the market responded positively. You’re embarrassing yourself with your out of touch comments, ageism has no place this day and age. I’m glad you’ve proved yourself to be out of touch and behind the times, it explains why you support the removal of the whole board as things started to look more positive.
I’d imagine a few of those involved share the same out of touch views as yourself, I know the “journalist” (as he calls himself) from SP pushing this on X, let’s just say if he’s on your side you’re on the wrong side.. DYOR
If Poddar’s go I sell, simple. Easy to say look at the share price but it does not represent the huge potential of this company, like it or not TGR is where it is because of the Poddar’s, bar the sp (which was showing signs of recovery) the company is in an enviable position, for me this stock is a matter of time, be it months or as I was anticipating years.
Bold move by “freetirupati”, I still believe they are delusional. Will be very interesting to see if their claims of owning 5% hold up.
Anyone who thinks Shishir has done a good job when share price is 5.5p deserves a shot across the bow
Time is up for the croonie poddar family
The RNS does not say when the letter was received - could have been some time back. Releasing this latish on a Friday is an indication of the sort of management we have here, I fear.
THIS WAS 73 PENCE , EXACTLY 2 YRS AGO,,, if they have doubled production, why have they done such a bad job and the share price is in the toilet waiting to be flushed???
A shot across the bow most likely zan. They only hold 5.8% of shares so they really don’t hold a lot of weight
Smacks of the inevitable to be honest but perhaps no bad thing as it will certainly shake things up a bit and it might draw out some transparency
One things for sure they won’t be able to continue as is!
They don't at this point have to hold a meeting. First, it has to be proved that the request is legit and those stakeholders actually do own that much.
I still find some of the details odd. Isabel (again) was on the board and is from a PR company. That PR company can takes shares for work carried out. I'm not convinced that is a look the PR company (st brides partners) would want? I.e., being part of a internal takeover of a company your staff member was on the board of as that could lose trust with your other companies on your books.
So many details are still so vague at this point its hard to tell the aim of the group i.e., do they really think they pull it off or is there aim just a shot across the bow?
