Volume much weaker after yesterday's 11m. With news expected soon on the merger completion - you might be seeing the ARB boys going for it in the hope they stretch out some and get some forced sellers. Remember they have 20mil of shorts in play I believe from around 17p/18p levels. Not much coin in it for them with price in the 16's hence the recent push down.
If they can deploy minor amount of selling to depress price then their goal is made much easier. Can't blame them for trying and SOLG's or Maxit's stretched out merge process handing it to them on a plate.
If they are ex CGP holders then they'll comfortably get their 20m shares at 16p so no brainer. Anything sub 16p where they can get some suckers or forced sellers is a bonus.
You can’t have your cake and eat it.
In one breath you say Covid vaccines are a stitch up, but the whole world invested in that, then you say green energy is unreliable and unaffordable otherwise the whole world would have implemented it.
You can’t chose the argument to suit your agenda, but you actually are.
From a consumer point of view EV’s are absolutely the way to go. The problem is the UK government have not got a clue what they are doing because they are all bickering in London.
Anyone who invested in green energy a decade ago is laughing all the way to the bank.
My first EV, not the Tesla, was cheaper to run than buying before fiesta despite being many multiples of the Fiesta retail price.
However what I will say about the Tesla, over my German manufactured EV, is that the Tesla works.
Yep the build quality is way better by the Germans but Elon Has nailed the battery technology etc
Solar, batteries heat pumps are the future
I bought at 14.34 as well. Will have to be high 12s for me to buy again though wildtiger.
Price down after early promise...
Can't blame the ALGOs this time, only 11 out of 54 so far...
Weak or impatient holders disappointed by no RNS, not wanting to hold for the weekemnd...?
Added another £6k. Next buy will be 13 if it does come.....thank you sellers
"So an update on SR, plans for some regional exploration , number of target blocks and holes drilling campaign etc and off we go....!"
Are you serious...?
We need it as the SP is extremely weak again this morning....WHY?
I dunno, Slug - at least the insults of recent times have been quicker to read than your off topic ramblings... Have you learnt what temperature is a measure of yet? Only messing, Slug - well done for keeping your comments the right side of getting banned. For now. But Friday is your traditional drinking/ranting/spamming/banning night, so I won't hold my breath. Happy Friday all, here's hoping Fort's mysterious source is right about good news next week.
That's very true PerseusOrion, so many people have said that in the past, maybe we had to have a hiatus to prove it.
Interesting.............
I would hate to talk it up but we haven't seen, err, Q u a d y since Monday.
I wonder if he's OK ?
Morning all... Scott Caldwell attending Redcloud and PDAC begining of March. Lets hope we have had updates and he has something decent to say.
Little bit anoid !!
Pinot
:0)
You only have two issues? You could have fooled me! If you jumped on the couch they would have a field day.....lol.
Just wish the likes of sensible you and a few others here were on the Solgold Board, LOL!
Next week then!
Orion
What is your issue with using green energy?
If you can drive around and heat your property, using clean energy, I don’t see the issue?
News next week I believe. No point in dropping RNS's into market on a Friday.
No idea why some think bad news likely? They look about 2 weeks over the end of Jan prediction for merger completion. No major delay there.
If I were SOLG/CGP... I would be looking to get a full guide to plans for this year out in the market so that it matches the prospectus and new SOLG investors (those taking the 550m shares for CGP stock) know whether to hold that stock or sell it. What you don't want to do is issue 550m shares and basically give those holders no reason to HOLD as that's just going to tank the sp with selling pressure.
You want those 550m shares to be tightly held and if anything you want new buyers to come flooding in.
So an update on SR, plans for some regional exploration , number of target blocks and holes drilling campaign etc and off we go....!
I'm sure I wasn't the only one dreading a Friday rns, so there's that at least
Ship, like the Titanic story here go figure
It would be even more stupid to sell a stock just before a takeover, you would still be entitled to moan about it though, if you are not happy with the management.
For all your intelligence perse, you don't do grey areas very well do you?
No perse it has to do with the fact that this is an anonymous BB with no consequence s for posting irrelevant chit chat that would be far better suited to the bird ... Oh and also the fact that what gets posted here makes absolutely not one hot of difference to the value of solg ! A wide demographic with far too much time on their hands. What is the saying about the devil and idle hands lolzzz
Goodnight all
Yeah yeah , bring it on. Will SOLG be 2p at the starting gun? Or 6p? You guys talk total carp. Wasn't there an old saying about the market can stay irrational far longer than we can stay solvent?
Here it is in play.
Cornford makes the mistake of ignoring the real size of the asset. Remember the 21%?
Slug didn't you say this was gonna be a big week in Song last weekend? What happened?
https://masterinvestor.co.uk/commodities/waiting-for-goldot/amp/
“ With so many apparently attractive prospects in its Ecuador exploration portfolio, I suggested some 5 years ago that unless SOLG separated them out for investors, so that the exploration costs for one wouldn’t damage the attractions of those earlier into production, investors would be wary of the resulting drag on the shares. So it has turned out. Solgold’s founder insisted on building a multi-asset miner like the big boys and resisted all such suggestions. Now he has been forced to concede to a new management, which having gone half-way towards promising to spin some projects off separately has now, while merging with Cornerstone to gain its full ownership, effectively put Cascabel (if not the whole company) up for sale.
How much it might fetch is problematic, but it must be more than Solgold’s £375m market cap, given Cascabel’s $5.2bn NPV (lower after current cost rises) and despite its initial capital cost now down to $2.75bn for the latest cut-down 2022 plan”
Your active imagination does you no favours in any field.
Go in peace
recent fall in sp reflects the fact the market believes we are overpaying and the dilution outweighs the value of the assets acquired.
