pigeon English?
Only kidding!
Fortissimo
Here’s what I think and why Irwin & Mather are so cool
Nick will manufacture a bid and maybe even front it.
He says to Jiang Xi or say Gina R .. I think we could get this for (let’s say ) 35p …. The offer comes the board approves it and BHP have a decision to make.
Do they walk away with 35p a share or make a move ??
I think I know the answer ….. either way it’s a win win for Nick .
addicknt.
I'm not a fan of Darryl either. Think he's the right man for a large project like Alpala with proven deliverable experience and that lends some credibility to funders and those that want to believe the 'we can develop this' mantra. But is he a CEO?? Absolutely not. Does he understand markets? Absolutely not. Does he understand retail investors and their desire to be stroked every 5 mins with news?? No. He's the wrong man for the retail investor base. But he might be the right man for the funders. Furthermore, he might be the right man to get that PFS2 done to the best level it could be. So it's a mixed bag but remember, he does have advisers like PWC... Citi group...the nomad... NEDS etc etc so they should be stepping up to the plate and helping him and SOLG. I think you should air your concerns toward them and not Darryl (in most cases).
If or when an offer comes for SOLG, remember it will be based on the PFS2 and Porvenir PEA. The rest of the folio likely to go for peanuts which is a shame. But that's what happens when you don't drill the prospects.
Sorry for the typos
Yes, that 8mplies that BHP finallybpaysba price that Nick is happy to accept, which could have happened already if BHP were so inclined
Fort,
The only thing that has changed is that Dc has been brought in to make solg as cheap as possible to draw out a bid.
The way I read it is cgp got there way( hence being so quiet) and they will support Nick on a price they both believe achievable/acceptable.
SM, I think recent events have proved beyond doubt that production is way beyond our capabilities. But we've always known that.
Dr Copper was mysteriously higher yesterday and up over 2%. Very rare to see that against major indices falling. It's normally a bellwether for bullishness.
SOLG's sp moving on decent volume for first hour of 1.4m. Normally see 1.4m as a total daily volume. Looks like it's hit a zone that interests buyers.
What does 15p represent ? Not long until the money runs out lol ! Until that is sorted the markets will cobtinue to work in their Predictable way !
Perhaps there is an outcome on the horizon whereby SOLG sells off / gives back the majority of its regional exploration portfolio and agrees a JV with BHP and/or NCM for Cascabel, with exits provided to Mather and Cornerstone through acquisition of their respective stakes in ENSA.
This would allow the company to focus on bringing Cascabel online, with Mather and CGP out of the way, and the show being run by BHP and/or NCM, and SOLG retaining a minority stake.
It doesn't seem feasible for Cascabel and the rest to be managed by one company, particularly a company of SOLG's size. The former is arguably too much for SOLG to handle on its own as it is.
Given the history, it seems hard to believe that in 7 years time, BHP, NCM and Nick Mather are all going to be raising a glass to first pour at Cascabel, don't you think? It seems like a mutually beneficial outcome for all for the majors to build Cascabel and for Nick to either retire or do what he does best - exploration.
Pure speculation, but it is Friday.
It's all starting to line up now. Hopefully..
Could some more news land today.
Represents a strong buy imho
Novice, I don't buy this conspiracy theory about DC. Occam's Razor should be applied, which gives us the simple explanation i.e he's incompetent.
Wouldn't want to be out over weekend put it that way that's three in a week it's primed now
If I were part of the exploration team and was twiddling my thumbs through majority of 2022 and then told likely to be doing the same until Q1 2023, then I too might think about moving on. What you don't want to do is wait around while everyone else leaves and takes the new jobs.
Darryl might want to bring in his guys and most cel's do like their teams around them. And not being too harsh on the old guys, but it's been very much hit and miss on the exploration with more misses than hits. Poor decisions taken on RIO. Some poor decisions on Porvenir satellite areas (nothing to report there) and plenty of poor holes drilled. Yes Tandy was good. Some of Porvenir good or great. But that's it. The rest poor. So why not bring in a new and better exploration team??
Just a reminder ... Norges were buying at 33p+ range. Double today's price. Can anyone point me to what's changed asset wise for the share price to be sliced in half?? The previous share price of 33p was supposed to be a valuation of the assets and potential assets. What's 15p represent?
Morning Pinot hope your well looking like a bounce on possible takeover after clearout here now bhp front runner maybe
And cost cutting in favour of two (possibly three) cabs, to preserve cash...?
Ted Butler on Gold Seek has an interesting article how the Gold and Silver Prices may be at a turning point - finally. Perhaps the end of Comex? If this is true and with the news we desire here, Solgold could really rocket.
Just a bit puzzled by the number of employees who have moved on? Does this indicate radical changes going forward with this company and if so what are these changes?
Morning all, morning rcg12 yes you did i read it as well.
Pinot
:0)
"she moves on that's the life cycle of someone at that level."
Just one day novice you will post something sensible/insightful or helpful...
Getting there books in order then ...
Getting books in order then Red
"Take Off"......next week....... me thinks!
GLA.
No. Apparently they have to do this on a regular basis...
Meanwhile we've got a 'Brylcreem Bounce' going on...ironically probably because of the rise in the (sol)GOLD price...
Have they updated they market of share capital and voting rights before an offer to buy solgold comes in??
