LEVIS:
Ive been looking at these posts you've been doing for a couple of weeks, and have now plucked up the courage to ask you if you could explain them to me in simple terms that I can understand. I am new on here, and I don't understand al the jargon.
Some of it looks obvious bug might not be. Just a few lines would be helpful. Also, where do you get this data set from?
Many thanks
Grant
Enjoy the sunshine Lewis next week gonna be good
Oops! Just back read the posts i missed while away and (mostly) what a waste of time. Seems to have degenerated back to mud slinging, politics and the end is nigh stuff again.
While I realise politics is essential to investing, I had my fill of it with all the poisonous brexit stuff . It became far too personal and divisive, so its something I try not to spend too much time on.
Each to their own of course but if your invested here why not spend a bit more time researching and talking about the company.
Good reading !!! There's also something on Bloomberg about the need to 'flatten the curve' and cut a little at least, to allow storage to last longer. Apologies don't have time to find the link now. Putin on that Yahoo/AFP link apparently mentioning a figure is encouraging. Shame for today, but on the week rdsb gained a respectful 15%ish, these days relatively worth 40% in my humble opinion. Also read how some American banks view BP and Shell divis safe-r. If other stocks of good companies like HSBC,AV., IAG do not catch up soon enough and this keeps grinding up, at some point a rotation would probably make sense to some traders who very recently have shifted from those to big oils
Nice weekend to you all

I do hope no one has suggested Corbyn would do better.
Boris has been criticised for being indecisive and too slow- may be fair criticism but let’s remember Corby still has not decided after 3 years whether he wants to leave or stay in a Europe.
I was a labour supporter till 6 months ago. I cannot believe I am suggesting that the Tory leader is preferable!

Char333 - 'Doris' & 'Tramp'? When you resort to name calling you basically lessen your argument because it shows you as a little immature.
Trump is doing his usual shooting from the hip and making promises he can't deliver. I don't like this approach but it works with many of his electorate who see him as 'getting things done' or at least trying. You're right, he won't be able to achieve his wishes by Easter; but he'll find some excuse why, probably blaming the Democrats... and 'Red' America will lap it up and love him for it. He's playing the political game! I'm not a fan of him by any stretch of the imagination but he knows how to please 'Red' America... tell them what they want to hear!
Boris has been doing the sensible thing by taking advice from Public Health England and the World Health Organisation with a view to when to close schools, when to introduce social distancing etc. Basically, he's followed the advice of the recognised experts. I'm not sure what you think would be a better strategy but as you seem to place more faith in the thoughts of 'a child of a friend' I'm struggling to take you seriously. Again, I'm not Boris' biggest fan but think he's done a good job and applied the right strategy by listening to experts and following their advice. Feel free to disagree and listen to the experts in the playground and their parents.
As for Corbyn in charge?!? The guy is a contrarian, a disruptor and not a man of action. He needs somebody else in charge so he can do what he does best - criticise and offer up alternative suggestions of what he would do in charge, which typically involves an unrealistic and undeliverable alternative solution (party politics I guess). I dread to think where we'd be with him in charge. I doubt the UK would be better off.
Trump & Doris have overwhelming failed to lead their respective countries . I recall trump saying he wanted America back up & running by easter. Mind you he didn't say which easter. Totally out of touch with the reality of the situation. As their popularity gone up in the past 2 months. Have they led from the front & gained universal admiration from others. Their snail like reactions to the coronavirus implications has been alarming. Germany have been testing ages ago. Have Doris or USA , no. Have they organised the supply of vital protection equipment ,, no. How long did it take them to get companinies to make testing kits & ventilatiors for all concerned or organise their purchase. Bloody ages. No they didn't , not till they were shamed into doing so.Have they their finger on the pulse. The answer to all those is no. Look how long Doris took to close schools. A child of a friend was telling their dad that was the thing to do7 weeks ago. I could go on & on about their total limitations as political leaders. Tramp is interested in making money for himself & many others in u a a. Doris is interested in making money for himself and his mega rich cronies in the Tory party. They don't give a jot about people in real need or the people suffering real hardship. Bring back the non entity that was Obama. At least he tried to help the less wealthy, even if he was instantly forgetable and had the personality of a paper clip. I'd even back Corbyn to have achieved more for people in the firing line, I E , the n h s staff. They are both unbelievable out of their depth because they've never been exposed to hardship, poverty or strife so have zero understanding of it or anyone who has. Looks like shell is on the slide again.
What is it that you dislike about Boris Johnson and Donald Trump so much Char333?
You seem to have a strong opinion on their personalities, but I haven't heard much from you with regards to why you think they have failed politically and you give no examples of incompetence or wrongdoing. Of course, should you choose not to vote, then its unlikely the political literati are going to take you seriously, and it tends to void out your comments by default.
We can all read the front the page of the Daily Mirror and regurgitate on this site. But I am interested in those who can think for themselves.
I am guessing you didn't major in political science?
Agree with you luddite et.al
I like the Buffett approach. That, and I am only seeking income really. Whilst I don't want my stock to go bust, the shares are just an annuity to me. Yield is what I am seeking. My kids can work out what to do with the shares after I am long gone
I've never voted for no politicians ever & never will. None of them can be trusted. During this pandemic both tramp & Boris have been nothing short of useless. Their not leaders. Rabbits in the headlights both of them who surround themselves with yes men, who'll agree no matter what.
I heard that covid-19 as been tested for Boris Johnson. There's no cure for him + that's a fact. Slimey git.
The way "old Trumpy" is going he will do very well if he does not cause the removal of a good proportion of his support base from the gene pool. Not very smart after all.
luddite, your quite right there, agree fully. Buffett has the 'chinese' mentality approach. Slowly slowly take over and retain to make more. Rather than the foolish general western approach of 'quick, sell it and make a dollar' leaving one exposed everafter. We need to change after this.
mahatma gandhi Gave a go at being holy and top of politics
charr333, I voted for the Boris and if I were a US citizen I would be voting for old Trumpy, who did you vote for ? Both of these people are scheming liars but you do not climb the greasy pole by being nice, even the sanctimonious holyness Jacinda Ardern had to clamber over her competitors to become the big cheese of NZ. In politics and business you don't get very far by being holier than thou, about the only person who almost managed it would be Warren Buffet.
President tramp a liar. Why do you think he gets on so well with Boris. Cut from the same cloth. Lying scheming treacherous scum both of them. Lie through their teeth day in day out. I recall just over a year ago when shell was £26 40ish. Tramp tweeted the oil prices were much to high. Next 3 days oil price plummeted hugely. So did shell share price. So it works both ways , the tramp tweeting his crap. Thank goodness Boris hasn't got the intellectual intelligence to use Twitter. Let's all be glad for small mercies.
Nice rise though due to tramps lies.
Nice to see the on going rise.
And guess what?
That idiot Trump has got it wrong again.
The Saudis and Russians have denied any contact, let alone talks.
He's speculating at best.
One could almost think he's trying to manipulate the market to his advantage.
But then he'd be a lying crook, wouldn't he?
Maybe not 2mr. But next week up anyway that's my best guess
I know this is nothing more than a quirky statistic, or a positive way to look at the sp, however:
To those that didn’t think Shell would rise or indeed, go over £20....
I bought some RDSB at £9.12. So that little lot of has risen by around £5.60. per share.
If Shell rose £5.60 again it would be over £20. Hence we are already 50% of the way there in just under 3 weeks!!
Anyone any thoughts on what RDSB might do tomorrow?
Someone bought 5000 in the money for sure
Carlosan great news
Breaking news on Bloomberg: Trump says Saudi and Russia to cut 10 M barrels or more. RDSB +13% as I type GLA
