Haha 😄 😄 😄
Hi, Predator
"Acreage" is correct spelling, no problem. "Ment" should read "meant."
Best wishes
Do t even if that's spelt right 😄 🤣, get our land back 😄
Acreage that's ment to say.
Also once we get our average back, I can't see how we can be any worse off and worth less in the share price, it's like a brucie bonus getting it back ???, unless I've missed something?.
To be fair I'm one off those twats that used to moan like mad when deadlines are not met, I'm more chilled now it is what it is. I've prob lost more money not being patient waiting for good news then it rockets and I've allready sold, than getting a bad rns, more laid back and patient these things are out of our control,
Opportunity cost is starting to bug me here. OMI is my biggest position, there is a PM bull market in flight and the share price does not move. I expect a goddamn rocket to make up for it.
Just remember the proverb, "time is money." Any delay is costing OMI, because of the team on site; plus the directors' salaries. An exploration company needs to explore; if it's doing nothing for months, except waiting for lawyers to complete a transaction which they have every incentive to prolong, the share price will fall; and rightly so.
It's Ok another five years, most in delays can go just as quick!
Of course, it's out of their control, I feel sorry for them, and we're covered for another 6 months in salary.....so no immediate pressure!!
Haha that’s ridiculous. By that logic we shouldn’t complain if it doesn’t come until next year because it was only an ‘estimate’.
As PIs we really only have what management state in RNSs. If we can’t trust that in any way then how can we have any chance?
I’m sure it’ll come but Brad has a credibility issue and would be wise to do everything in his power to keep us informed and set realistic expectations, particularly when we start digging in earnest!
Legalwolf, totally agree.
PI's are their own worse enemies, somehow, they have this magical skill to concrete set an estimated date of any sorts, and when the date is not met, they throw a hissy fit of mega proportions, and of course the MM's play on it, any sign of despair, perceived delay and bang goes down the SP.
I have seen this scene play out for the past 20 years, and before anyone jumps on my say I've only been a member on here for a few years, was with iii from 2000 .

Great post Kammy and totally agree. OMI aren't going to be wasting precious cash on deploying teams to Columbia and preparing for a drilling campaign if they are not sure of the deal going through. But the timescale is out of their control. It's not like BG is drafting the deal himself.
It will land when it lands, and I personally think we will get an update by or on Monday 3rd June.
Dont understand obsession with completion date.
Dates are simply estimated, nothing ever goes to plan, one clause in the deal make take 3 weeks to resolve, therefore slippage is always possible.
Suggest, stop focussing the date, focus on the bigger picture.
Kammy
Still 3 days until end of May and there has been no delay RNS yet which makes me personally think it is very close. I think if it wasn't close we'd have got a delay RNS last week. Only the ones on the inside know what's happening. I do agree though, when you have form for delays, they need to start communicated timelines.
I’m cautiously optimistic. The deal will be late by the looks of it but I don’t think we will have to wait until end June. They must be nearly ready for drilling by now. I counted 10 people on those donkeys lol so they must be busy doing something
He’s got 3 days then it’s over due. Let’s see if he delivers this time around.
Yes, Imp we have to take the RNS information first over Brad's loose tongue webinars BUT he seriously needs some lessons in market communications in running a plc. You can't just make off the hoof comments as investors and the market tend to take it as gospel. "End of April at the earliest" why did he even say that? Then, when he realised that was woefully optimistic he updated with end of May. As of 1st June I am considering this late (Again). Yes, this is out of his direct control now with lawyers and bean counters but he has control over his webinars and his RNS's. I half expect an RNS stating a delay to the end of June or July due to DD and regulatory issues. Not ideal.
RNS on 23rd April,
"Subject to several conditions, including but not limited to, the negotiation of definitive documentation and the completion of due diligence, the Company is aiming to complete the Transaction by the end of May 2024, subject to regulatory matters."
For the avoidance of doubt - the news is late?
Brad said signing end April and then drill, drill, drill in May. Then he said timelines could slip - what does that even mean?
Does slip mean 1 month, 2 months, 3 months?? or should it be viewed in terms of weeks.
Well we are now end of May - still a few days to go. I guess most have given a 1 month grace period. but makes no bones about it - the news is late.
when Brad first made the announcement, i instantly thought that June signing and July drilling would be best case scenarios. I could be wrong - 3 days to go. GLA
Tick tock B dog.
If the news is either late or not fully positive, Brad really needs to go back to the drawing board re his comma strategy.
I suspect it might be late but we will see!
One step at a time of course but getting the project back is the biggest news Omi will have had in the last couple of years. As Fergie used to say it's squeaky bum time for Omi
Not wanting to spoil the party small that it is but we need to drill drill drill all sites which could take lots of cash and years to do before we can compare us to our neighbours. Also by then gold will be around 5,000 dollars however this week we should get the keys back to Anza so Brad has no excuses and also if its as good as they say then they the directors should be buying as much as they can if as good.
This weeks news is the bigest rns we gunna get this year. Heres hoping its good for all shareholders.
I think you’ve missed something. Youve missed the fact Buritica, Anzas neighbour sold for $1.4b in 2019, when the gold price was $1600ish. Now Golds almost 50% higher nearing $2400… What would Buritica be valued at now?
Yes chicken so much to look forward to this week me finks, I make it 4 days this week cuz of bank holiday, It's no good buying when news lands as the sp can go bananas, then peeps will say I don't want to buy on a spike, which is fair enough, so still cheep as chips in my book, can you believe maybe just maybe we could be sitting on a tier 1 mine, which generally sell for over 1billion dollars and then thers little ol omi sat at a mear 10 million pounds or have I missed something, I'm sure someone will correct if I'm wrong, anyhow Astra la vista baby yehaaa gla.
All will be revealed shortly. Hopefully start this new era with a bang. Brazil now off the project list on the website. We all want to see this project come out of C&M. It has to be close. Good luck all LTH.
