Possible a deal could be struck with YOTI, the market is crowded now with other entrants but would be useful specifically to Novacyt.
The business is tech IP rich but little revenue. The parent owns the iP which was valued at £3m but has £47m of debt/loans

Best option frankly would be to put yoti into administration and sell the IP
So who's more important to us

ShaunP as geneme had to raise 5.2mil euros recently(yoti participated in this) therefore I don't think geneme have sufficient funds to cease these opportunities therefore I predict a collaboration or buy by us, you will probably recall this has been discussed before.
Can't get links as signal bad in here today.
ShaunP, take a look at the restarting travel page on their website .They now offer a rapid PCR test that doesn't need RNA extraction and is used by the NHS as a point of care test .
BJ, thanks for that link, I wonder how many more companies are beginning to realise how good the new product is
About 20 seconds of video. Go to you tube novacyt to watch the begining of a news report this morning. A new product released last week is selling well. 33,000 tests last week and a posible 32,000 more from 30 countries world wide..
I think more will come from this news report.
Bluelight it’s scary you think living your life and making your own decisions is considered a liberty.
@Airlineboy
Hope Dylan goes into all his lessons with the same enthusiasm and is on his best behaviour throughout.
It must be very difficult, if not impossible in some subjects for teachers to plan and prepare effective lessons given the amount of uncertainty ATM, especially as a result of irregular attendance and pupils at different stages dependent on the degree of support while at home for so long.
Good find Johnny ...worth dyor.links been looking a long time intresting ....
Hydr31, as much as it was a shock to the system seeing so many kids bundling together and running and jumping around in the playground it sure did put a huge smile on my face. My lad Dylan had been soooooo excited about returning, then scared, then he had a bellyache this morning and didn't want to go to school at all. As soon as we got there all of that was forgotten, he saw some of his mates and that was it, barely time to say goodbye and give us a hug! Lets hope it lasts
Very intresting Johnny .....big win
Unfortunately we have proven already then when lockdown is eased many people take loberties with guidelines and infections rapidly increase. It will be the same this time. Good for NCYT and testing, bad for people and particularly the vulnerable. But it's a balance, lives versus the economy.
As long as these people stay outside and avoid physical touching there shouldn't be too much risk of transmission. In the end of the day we've got to try and get back to some level of normality. The point of lockdowns has always been to protect the NHS and prevent hospitals from becoming overburdened with covid patients, with 21 million of the most at risk now vaccinated that should be the case.
Just dropped my daughter back at school, was a bit shocked to be honest, I’d forgotten how busy it is when it’s full. Kids all mingling and jumping in each other and loads of parents catching up with no masks on. You’d think the pandemic was over. Yet the majority of people there won’t have been called for vaccines yet
Tks to gasman

LFT in schools will shutdown covid blooms. Which highlights a policy of acceptable transmission while at the same time opening up the economy / experiment. Am I going back the office with that in place, at the same time visiting 3 sets of over 70 year old relatives .... not a chance.
@andip85, please address the false negatives, viral load and asymptomatic cases. Joe public is not going to be savvy enough (with respect) to know a negative means they still have to exercise caution. This has disaster written all over it. Susan Hopkins made statements last night on national news to suggest LFTs were as good as PCR tests. This is misleading joe public.
Out of interest are any LFT brands now approved for use in US, from recollection they stopped using them.
Haha Andip,
Why on earth would you want to 'lick a stranger'?!!
MS
To clarify - is PCR testing dead or a dying breed? How come RFU didnt just go with LFTS if they're so good? Both have a place and that's why I'm invested across the spectrum as believe enough demand for all testing. Just need to be patient.
Sourcebio just won contract to supply England rugby... PCR tests!!! So is testing really 'dead' or a dying requirement??? The shift over next 12 months will be public sector to private. Which will have the stronger profit margins?
@Whatnonewsyet
Awful woman - cold as ice.
Commented on her months ago and the damage she was doing here.
Purely a Govt puppet and never mentions the downsides.
* lockdowns are the world should read:
lockdowns and the the world
LFT isn't a replacement for PCR. The Gov aren't saying "sack off PCR tests, we'll base our whole Covid response on LFT now". PCR is still the "go to" test and lockdowns are the world is unlikely to be opened up off the back of LFT tests.
LFT serve a purpose as part of mass testing and helping keep some of the most infectious people at home. If you get a negative LFT it doesn't mean you don't have Covid, it just means you continue abiding by the other measures in place. If you return positive, you get a PCR test to validate. It helps people make more informed decisions and helps to reduce the spread. Knowledge is power.
Anyone claiming "I've taken an LFT test and tested negative so can hug my granny / lick a stranger now" is missing the point. Sadly I suspect a lot of people will see it this way.
Just my opinion, DYOR.
