Probably only gets paid for 48 lol, healthcare = ****show for unpaid overtime
Is there a doctor in the house ?
Ouit of interest johnny - what's your line of work ?
Freelance GP hours are limited to 48 per the working hours directive. Why are you breaking the rules and do those employing you know they are too?
Johnnykipper I work 7 days a week and work around 70 - 80 hours per week. You get paid directly proportional to how many hours you work if you are a freelance GP . Most GPs are stressed and struggle to work more than 40 hour weeks.
SPQS yes you very right. Well said. GPs are completely undermined in the UK with what we do. The amount of knowledge and skill needed to do the job is extremely challenging under poor resources and high regulation and. Hense why least 40% of the workforce have retired or left for better work / life balance & better quality of Job abroad.
SpSQTrader WBAFC is one of the most well paid GPs in the UK. On the 14th September he wrore the post below. By rough calculations that is a hit of nearly 300K. Which according to him is 2 years wages. When you add tax and NI he must be raking in about 200 grand a year. Then again he could just be another fantasist. You choose!
I currently have close to 90,000 shares and I am very dissapointed with my investment with Novacyt and am in paper loss. My average is £6.6 . So as it stands I am voting no for every resolution . Tell me why should I vote yes to any of these resolutions. I am losing currently 2 years of my hard earned income with Novacyt , thats 7 days per week of 48 weeks work per year. So I am not very happy currently.
Woody9:"Wba GM has had a result making millions, let's not feel sorry for a GP like yourself earning over a hundred k a year with a pension ordinary working people could only dream of. Plus you will probably retire far earlier than Joe public."
Why are you criticising GPs? Have you someone else to go to when you are sick or infirm? Stop reading the Daily Mail - most GPs DO NOT earn >100k/year. I'm married to one so I should know! GPs are one of the most efficient public servants that this country has and a lot of people don't appreciate the stress they're under. Try seeing/telephoning every patient on your list to make a diagnosis/treat various complaints correctly in less than 10 min per patient, as well as writing notes for medico-legal purposes in that time. If you're not a doctor, you'll never understand. Hospital consultants now pay nearly 15% of their salary in pension contributions with a current retirement age of 67, so don't believe all the fake news some of these tabloids serve. And the pensions aren't as great as they used to be, but then again the older generation have always had it much better in terms of pensions/retirement age etc in comparison (weren't policemen allowed to retire at age 50 on a full pension previously?)
Don't knock something you don't fully understand.
Regards, SPQS
Hi Dunchallas , they indeed are the facts , therefore why is anyone speculating he has received 10mm and is jetting off into the blah.
Re severance pay he should receive nothing bar his holiday entitlement end of.
I do not view Ncyts refusal to divulge his package to you / us as a cover up.
Now whether we believe other board members should receive the Nov 21 and Nov 22 tranches is a whole different topic and one I am still musing over , however unless some new startling facts come to light I shall be basing that decision on two things. One do I think they deserve it and two what impact do I think their removal will have on impeding any deals being struck / progress with the DHSC dispute.
10Guitars, to be fair perhaps they were merely implementing their 'levelling up' policy, after all NCYT was doing rather well :)
When doing business with the tories dont expect them to play fair
My guess is that a lot was taken on trust when the pandemic was raging and all at ncyt were developing new products filling orders etc and believing commitments which turned out to be empty promises. One mistake amongst a dozen or so successes - funny how the world makes more of the bad than the good actions.
Thanks to GM, Novacyt was one the very first PCR test providers. He transformed the company from being a penny stock to leading diagnostics company. He made millions of pounds of profit and probably saved thousands if not millions of lifes. Where do you think all that cash came from? Look at GDR, ODX and etc. What are you talking about???
If you have bought it @£10+ I feel your pain but you need to wait and your patience will be awarded handsomely.
The fact is whoever negotiated the second contract with the DHSC did not do their job properly , and make that contract payable completely on receipt of goods . The contract should have been negotiated in such a way that novacyt were protected completely and would not be to any loss whatsoever .
So , the question is , who is responsible for signing off that second contract ? Its the CEO , and he has f**ked up . But , hey ho he still wins and takes home £10M and retires whilst leaving shareholders screwed over .
Well done GM and all those who have been praising him all this time . Shame on you lot .
