I'm paying more attention to hospitalisation and sadly deaths.
Don't trust the number of new positives being issued anymore.
Call me cynical. Anyone who has been reported positive in the past and us subsequently reinfected isn't added to the new positives counts now
I forgot to add what I was going to say originally, far more relevant to this investment...
I've taken seven 6 innova LFTs and 1 PCR test over the past four days all since I will have had covid - the pcr test came back positive, only two out of six of the LFTs came back positive!
As far as I'm aware Wilson this is the first time I've had it.
Kitzie not really to be honest. I have faith in the vaccine to at least lessen the severity of illness but if I was more of a sceptic I think I'd have been worried about potentially needing some medical treatment... The main symptom I have is extreme lethargy and breathlessness that I've not experienced before. Also a mild cough and fever but that's starting to subside a little today. But I have my sense of smell and taste which is a big silver lining for me! I think that long lasting symptom is a far bigger deal than some people make out, it's basically altering two of our five senses...
The tiredness has given me a little insight into what long covid must be like for the unlucky minority who continue to suffer months after the virus has left their system, not to be underestimated whatsoever.
Get well soon harchris.
HarChris,
Yeah, hope you feel better soon....
Having been double vaccinated, have you noticed a differences in symptoms from the normally reported ones?
Little bit of frustrating reading

Harchris all the best, is this your first time with covid?
Me and Dylan wish you a very speedy recovery HarChris, we're hoping you suffer no long lasting effects and that you're up and fighting fit again real soon. Don't run before you can walk, take it one day at a time and don't over exert yourself for a while. Take care. We think there will be some extraordinarily good news in the next few days from the company to cheer us all up. GLA
Please add my good wishes for a speedy recovery HC.
If it will make you smile, your comment about not being able to get out of bed reminded me of my son when he was a teenager a few years ago. I think in his case however it was late nights and lager that caused the problem.
Get well soon.
Thanks all that wished me well. It's really knocked me for six despite being double vaccinated and just 29 years old - barely been able to get out of bed since Sunday but noticed some improvement today . Hearing similar things from my friends around the same age so yes none of us will be adding to the hospitalisation numbers I would imagine but still an unpleasant experience.
Speedy recovery Harchris, make sure mum stays away ! K
I hope you're OK Har.
If memory serves me right, you're a youngster, so should just shake this **** off.
Hope you're not feeling too unwell HarChris.
I've been saying that myself last couple weeks....far more infected, albeit lower symtoms. Herd immunity from vaccine and natural looks like the strategy at present here in the UK.
What percentage of a community needs to be immune in order to achieve herd immunity? It varies from disease to disease. The more contagious a disease is, the greater the proportion of the population that needs to be immune to the disease to stop its spread. For example, the measles is a highly contagious illness. It's estimated that 94% of the population must be immune to interrupt the chain of transmission.
A percentage of the population must be capable of getting a disease in order for it to spread. This is called a threshold proportion. If the proportion of the population that is immune to the disease is greater than this threshold, the spread of the disease will decline. This is known as the herd immunity threshold.
That's why the data figures don't make sense at present. We are no where near that threshold for the infections to start to come down......or it means people are testing, but not declaring.
HarChris,
Hope it's not too bad for you and wishing you a speedy recovery
Having caught covid over the weekend and knowing as many as fifteen other people who have caught it over the past week (range of ages, some double jabbed, some single, some not at all) it feels to me like it's ripping through the country, not declining...
