Thanks Dai2
Dai, time to get teddy.
I will read your intricate post tomorrow,
too tired now. Thanks again for the dumb-ass
alert, been a while since l was a lert.
NB: I was told earlier today that Pont Abraham Services,
were charging £1.69 per litre. WTF you could buy
rocket fuel cheaper than that; Greedy bas_tards,
gives our country a bad name.
Goodnight my friend, sleep tight.
Awaiting good news, not a fright.

@B1ll, I was under the impression the 130m thick layer was around 800m, how much above or below I am not sure..
The uppermost Karoo was marked by a thick (130m) -*claystone sequence*-, demonstrating seal presence which is supported by our seismic interpretation. Wireline logging of the uppermost Karoo indicates good reservoir potential with 15-20% porosities in -"thinly bedded"- sandstone units.
Wireline data was therefore only available over the uppermost helium show from 824-845m. This helium show was identified in -"thinly bedded"- (1-3m) sands within the upper Karoo -*claystone sequence*-

·" A 130m thick claystone unit was encountered above the top Karoo sands, indicating good seal presence for the Karoo reservoir."
Hi folks, would I be correct to say that the 130metre thick clayStone seal is below a depth of 480metres?.
The drill encountered issues whilst still in the lake bed structure, so I've interpreted the Rns' to state that the 'seal' of the Karoo hadn't been reached at that point.
The Rns states that the drill stopped at approx 1200M (ish) , but it doesn't state at what depth the seal was reached.
Overall, even though the strategy to identify traps at shallower depth may successfully identify free gas, I would have thought that ant viable commercial system would be below the claystone seal?.

I agree Aim, I think one RNS that says the latest seismic study has clearly identified a well (s) then even if drilling had to wait a couple of months to confirm, the SP in the meantime would go up to mid teens. He he saying he expects some sort of results before/around November.
Just a quick follow up if there are any HE1 staff reading this board.... your younger geologists will be very familiar with remote sensing digital technology, but old-timer ERT may be something of a shock (pun intended) to them. I suggest you issue them with yoga mats, which they should fold double and use to sit on when taking readings. Without this, there is a significant risk that high voltage square wave, low frequency, alternating current will try to earth through them by the shortest route. If you are squatting on the ground in shorts, but with thick insulating rubber-soled boots on, you can work out where the shortest route goes.
@SGF
You took the words straight out my
mouth, agree, agree with you all the way : )
You previously mentioned that when there’s
so little to say, ITV has always got something to ….
Some posters have criticised patience as a losing
strategy when monies could be invested elsewhere;
sometimes l like to sever those who cast themselves
as so clever; Take That: have a little patience, will do
me; why take the milk straight the cow, when WALP
you can have the cream right of the top, meow :)

We all have our different ways of
investing, didn’t mean to come
across a bit (Emily Blunt) if only :)
ATB my friend, here to the end.
Ash16 - don’t be a dope, there’s still so much hope,
amongst those who believe we’re still firmly on course :)
GLA - to all genuine He1 posters here, l wish you good luck :)

My view is quite simple.
I held a lot in the build-up to Tai-1.
I bought more when it dropped and held all that during Tai-2.
I got p1ssed off with what happened during Tai-2 as it ‘appeared’ questionable with the heavy selling. **** happens to us PI’s eh!
I’ve seen quite a few smug posts from people who felt they were right to de-risk. Yes, I get that but we all have a different risk tolerance. However, if/when they make a discovery the SP will motor on and the conviction holders will do very well.
So from here - I will hold and, if this does drift lower, once some of my other investments have (hopefully) made some decent returns, I’ll then take the opportunity to add more and lower my average.
They will make a discovery (IMO) and I am happy to wait. There’s no guarantee of making returns when you invest, so how sick would I feel if I sold here, took those funds, invested elsewhere and that only made small gain (or even worse, when lower), and then this bounces. Not prepared to take that risk and the upside here for another 12 months patience - huge.
Just my opinion of course.
Personally I think there will be enough news flow to get the SP moving nicely in the right direction. 1) Start of seismic 2) completion of seismic 3) start of geo for the shallow targets 4) confirmation of new targets 5) confirmation that new rig/s have been sourced 6) start of shallow drilling campaign 7) start of deeper drilling campaign.......On top of this we could be surprised with news such as new investment coming in. At the current price I wouldn't be at all surprised. The risk:reward at these levels look very attractive to me. Lots of people predicting a gentle decline as this now goes quiet until next year. Have you not been watching the way HE1 operate?
Be surprised if we can hang onto 8p for 4 to six months as pi's get bored and see other shares doing well meanwhile, and sell with the intention of getting back in nearer drilling.

What a refreshing post from KeithOz with some proper scientific explanation and knowledge.
Enjoyed that, thank you. We have to face facts this share is likely just going to sit around 8-10p for at least 4 -6 months. There is just no appetite for it anymore. The hype has gone.
