So true. the only one FOG has provided the deal of a lifetime is POQ. A lot of what has happened is out of his hands. That said, what has hurt is his not taking seriously my suggestion many years ago to raise money when we could in the $0.20-25 range and had less dilution than we did. He has never acknowledged that oversight and said to the board you should reduce the amount of options I receive. The reason the board never did is a guess on my part, he never shared my thought with the board. POODS
Poods,
I feel for you. When I first invested in Brunner's BS hype, I was a young and foolish man of 30. Since then, I have been married, have a 20 year old son in University, and two kids in high school, and have emerged from a midlife crisis. A weekly lottery ticket would have been a wiser investment to have ligitimate dreams of generational financial freedom...
Hang in there.
Cheers.
It’s sad that it’s June 22 and we have basically done nothing for almost a year!!
POODS, this outfit is like the boy who cried wolf, nobody believes what they say anymore. Its hardly surprising the price has dropped within minute of his last news release(like the previous ones), the scope has changed (once again), no timelines for drilling, another dilution (once again) after saying we were fully funded for this phase, and more share options for insiders. Stock price and volume reflect all of this....................................
NEWTOFO:
You may be correct in that inside persons must report in many cases. I had been told to notify the company and that 10 million shares should be enough. My purpose is to show I have put my money up in support of my opinions. POODS
Hey Poods --- very sorry to hear about the heart issues, as it would be a pleasure to meet you when (or if) we ever get to the point that Falcon is a real success and a gathering is planned for all long term holders that wish to attend.
I will send an email to POQ to see if he replies, but I believe the reporting requirements is something like 3% in some jurisdictions and 5% in others?? All direct employees and directors have to be listed as to options and holdings, but private owners have that much higher threshold for reporting requirements I believe.
POODS ..This is disgusting! It shows little regard for the minority shareholders. I think POQ and Anne are treading on thin ice here. This needs to get reported. POQ is hurting himself here. If he feels he can disregard reasonable requests then he is asking for trouble. I have suggested that we should unite somehow and have our concerns properly dealt with. This type of treatment should not be allowed to go on.
Sorry to hear that Poods, id like to see your name on the filings as would a few others. I wish you good health, and a stress free home run for us all in FOG! GLA.

About 6-8 weeks there was a Falcon announcement about something slightly positive, which as usual resulted in FOG shares beginning to sell off per the Wall Street adage “sell on good news”. Falcon shares probably are the only company in my 50 years memory that actually do sell off every time such announcements are made. That 100% correlation at a minimum gives FOG bragging rights on something.
My purpose in bringing this up is shortly after that announcement there was a link where one could write a note / question to the company which I took advantage of to write both Ann and POQ, neither of which responded to me and POQ also not to a direct email. My reason for writing was a request to include in their filings at that point I held 10 million shares of FOG and wanted it filed as other holders of even fewer shares have.
Having not heard back after a few weeks, I emailed POQ to ask why there was no response acknowledging my request to post as part of the the upcoming proxy etal this information. Somewhat surprised Philip nor Ann have never responded as even though they consider me a pain, they have an legal obligation to valid shareholder requests. Could you make inquiry as to why that email was ignored? There is a 99% chance they will claim they never received it, so instead of debating that fact, would you be so kind as to inform them I own those shares of record and would like fellow shareholders to know while I am getting older and beginning to Philip’s delight, suffer heart issues. It is a shareholder’s right as I understand matters to request insertion of this information in a legal filing or simply announcement of the fact if appropriate to fellow shareholders, some few who appreciate I am a shareholder and try to put things in perspective for those who think perhaps I have a balanced view of company matters. Thank you POODS (lerner.ron@gmail.com)
@newtofo - word on a street SCD Rig 40 is undergoing modifications for Amungee program.
It is not in the news; all I can find is prior rig activity https://www.linkedin.com/posts/silver-city-drilling_well-done-to-all-the-rig40-team-for-another-activity-6877514900911087616-Ll4d.
Don't underestimate Origin, they have a good team and resources. Not the lowest cost operator but it is expensive to work in that part of the world (remoteness and lack of infrastructure/services) and "the government is here to help" (most frightening words).
BTW, Tamboran's EMP is very well done. They got a professional shop (AECOM) to do it.
Let's see how the battle of cowboys with cattle barons plays out.
UncleBuk -- I am hoping that the absolute lack of clarity on what and when Origin is doing anything over the next six months is just to keep a very low profile in the Beetaloo -- with all the placard waving Green's now swinging their weight around in Canberra and the N.T.
That is probably just wishful thinking on my part, and the reality is just more of the same incompetence that exists in the Origin Beetaloo program??
The best news we have currently is the huge spike in gas prices for Victoria State -- as that kind of price fluctuation should help swing support back to the natural gas producers??
It drops on very little volume. The final buyout price is what really matters. Sheffield's financial commitment is proof of potential. Daily price watching is for day traders.
The lack of guidance for this year is truly shocking, leaving everyone in the dark is very disappointing. We are now years out from the lift of the moratorium and the stock continues to drop, very sad!
Hardrock -- just a quick question on your post from yesterday where you wrote:
"Origin is highly competent - snatching the rig with the lowest cost to mobilize".
Should this have stated Tamboran or Empire? If it was Origin that snatched a low cost rig -- can you post the link to that story, but I don't think it was Origin as that would have been the first smart thing they have ever done in the Beetaloo -- LOL.
Origin is highly competent - snatching the rig with the lowest cost to mobilize.
@Newto "Therefore, I fully expect a clear timeline on this year's program from POQ when he gets back from his meetings in Australian with Origin, (and other Beetaloo players), in the next week or two."
Wait.....did I miss some announcement that POQ was travelling to Australia for a meeting..........how do we know this is occurring or is this pure speculation?? Hopefully he is doing something for his pay!! :-)
Longknife, good questions and no clear answers that I know of. I am hoping that any announcement of a Hot Rig being booked is just updating the market to something that was done at least a month ago, and that seismic is currently underway. Anything less than that would just be sear incompetence on the part of Origin at this late stage of the dry season.
I don't believe that Viktor's shares are deleted from the equation completely, but with the Sanctions in place there would be no financial benefit to Viktor in any equation -- so maybe a moot point for any attempt by Sheffield to take Falcon private. This is just pure speculation on my part and is most likely total nonsense.
Newt, with all due respect, why are we NOW looking at contracting a hot rig? Couldn’t that have been done months ago? Maybe I’m wrong. Also you say we have spent $250M to date. What has Falcon received for this? For giving up 77.5pct of the permits? I’m curious as to what happens to the voting rights to Viktors shares if a takeover were attempted? Are they deleted from the equation completely? I can’t imagine a worse scenario than the Sheffield taking this private and then hitting big.
What POQ needs is the threat or the realizations of a lawsuit. That changes everything and one that will get this precks attention! He has pushed the envelope and now it is time for us to take action. I am open to ideas...but he and Anne has been too ****y and they are hoping for us to do nothing. Maybe now we need to come together and take these precks out for good..along with Mr. Lada ( Viktor)
dprussky -- I think your statement "Origin is soo sensitive to the media/elections/politicians it is paralyzing their progress" -- is certainly one aspect of Origin's serious lack of news flow.
That could, (in light of the recent Labour gov't and Green Party changes on the Federal side) possibly be a smart move on Origin's part?? Letting the greenies and media focus on Tamboran -- while Origin quietly goes about getting the seismic done and contracting a Hot rig -- might be a very smart move at this stage, or at least that is what I am hoping......
Since Origin has the necessary approvals for the first Amungee horizontal to move forward, (while they submit the EMP for the second well pad to be constructed 10 km away, plus get the bore hole water testing in place), -- I honestly don't think that Origin is delaying anything this year unless it falls outside of their control like the second well pad approval.
It would make no sense, given the almost $250 million spent to date, for Origin to let this year slide due to political correctness. Plus -- we have to remember that the Northern Territory "Labour" gov't and the opposition Party in the NT -- are both fully onside with the Beetaloo development program moving forward, and would expect Origin to continue with those approved plans.
Origin already has full access from the Aboriginal Land Council and the "Beetaloo Station" pastoral owner -- so there are no issues like Tamboran is facing currently on the Tanumbirini Station. Therefore, I fully expect a clear timeline on this year's program from POQ when he gets back from his meetings in Australian with Origin, (and other Beetaloo players), in the next week or two.
One of my newly developing concerns would be if Sheffield is the most recent 100,000 unit buyer of Falcon shares (which appears to still be a primarily LSE event and not so much on the TSX). If Sheffield just wants more cheap shares -- that is great, but what if Sheffield was possibly looking at taking Falcon private if he gains enough voting shares? Currently, about 16% of Falcon shares are totally in limbo for what looks like perpetuity due to the Sanctions on Viktor, so gaining voting control of Falcon wouldn't be quite as difficult -- especially with all the punters that are willing to give up their shares for less than 10 P.
Then your choices - 1. Sell your shares, and remove the daily stress of holding Falcon. Many others are waiting to pickup your shares and daily frustration. 2. Create an investor movement to remove POQ (not going to happen imo). 3. Realize Sheffield does not invest in a loser, expects to make millions upon millions, and hold your shares understanding this is far from over. 4. Continue to complain to a handful on this board that will listen, and enjoy the free therapy session. I am sorry, but the same posters rant and rave about the same things daily. Broken record syndrome. I wish you all the best, but this glass needs to remain half full guys. Maybe walk away from your computer for a few days, weeks, or Falcon dog years....lol. Smile....it will happen. You will be rich (or maybe your kids?...or maybe your grandkids?) Or maybe God decides to return, and we all could care less right? We only lose, if we choose to lose.
DP and Camelot, you are both right on the money. Every time POQ says we fully funded, BAM, another dilution. Adding his girly fiend to the board just adds insult to injury, next appointment to board will be uncle Bob. Its not the government that is holding us back, its the corporate gong show.
Origin is not O&G company so focus is not there, You can see Santos, Empire, Tamborian are moving forward pushing in some cases they do not even worry too much about crating waves in the media to achieve their timelines. Origin is soo sensitive to the media/elections/politicians it is paralyzing their progress
Longknife. There have been many screw ups! 1) in 2016 Origin were supposed to drill 2 horizontals. They drilled !. Someone ****ed it up. POQ should have held their feet to the fire. He did not in my estimation. They knew the moratorium was coming and sat on their hands. Pure incompetence. Next they spend a crap load on the Kyalla and screw that up. It may still maybe can be fixed but again they did not get it right. Then POQ does a FARM DOWN which leaves us in a less than favorable position. Then he starts a period of INVESTOR MEETS presentations where he says " no we won't be raising money in 2022" and six weeks later brings in Sheffield for $10 million USD. He ( POQ) is not CEO material in my humble opinion. It is time for Falcon to get monetized and POQ and Anne to fade off into the wild blue yonder. He has and is a big disappointment.
It would be lunacy if the Beetaloo was stopped or even paused considering the desperate need for gas in Aus and Europe now, this is the opportunity the NT needs to take advantage of.
Id like to know what Origins plans are for this year, and whether the seismic is complete, we need to crack on this year...
