"AffiGuard" System on the outflow from care Homes etc. An affimer panel to detect COVID, Norovirus, MRSA etc.. £££££

Here's the interview with SKIN's CEO.
Aiming to target the cruise industry and then talk of employing AVCT LFTs to isolate persons on the ship. Yet more confidence being shown in the AVCT LFT test.
Furthermore, the consumable devices have a shelf life of 1 month so the revenue is recurring on a shared revenue model basis. Aiming for prototypes being ready in Sept.
Most importantly the Modern Water 3,000 units comment from this morning's AVCT RNS, is just that and not the full market. So options for sewage points and the opportunity looks to be world wide.
We require more information on this but it does indeed have potential to be a significant revenue stream than perhaps first thought.
In addition, it once again puts the AVCT Affimers on the map and future usage outside Covid, for other diseases.

I know, anyone would think it was a load of sh.t. It’s another revenue stream, simple as that.
There’s a subtle and interesting difference between the 2 announcements:
https://www.lse.co.uk/rns/SKIN/integumen-covid-19-mta-signed-with-aptamer-group-8ghasjtkdku2yg2.html
https://www.lse.co.uk/rns/SKIN/partners-with-avacta-for-novel-sars-cov-2-sensors-diq4d8puvhjwiag.html
The Awacta announcement sounds like it’ll be fastest to commercialise given the existing 3000 installations. Both are heading to Aberdeen, be interesting to hear results of this head to head comparison.
Winnifrith needed to mobilise his muppet followers to push it down so he could (as usual) shaft them all and close his position out then go long. He is a crook of the very worse kind.
Ophidian (look out for the Sheriffs deputies - they are all around)
jmfw, I agree with you which is why it seems so perverse that the SP is below where it finished last week. Who would sell on good news? There is only so much manipulation (as an excuse) that MM's can be blamed for. I mean, if they force the SP down on for instance, good news, then the demand for people to get in on a, false, lower price would simply cause them to lose money when they balance their order books. I guess one strain of thought could be that the SP is very over priced but even then, there has been so much time for shareholders who thought that to get out previously that that is difficult to argue. Maybe there is a huge seller out there that the MM's are trying to slowly fulfil.
I don't but I am struggling to make any sense of it at all......
Can’t believe that this RNS has been received with so much negativity, it’s a possible diversification and opens up new avenues and really shows the versatility of Affirmers. The mega RNS is only just around the corner and this SP will look ridiculously cheap. I have no worries.
Detection via waste water sampling is already being explored & was the subject of a bbc item recently. The suggestion was/is that it is a very clear indicator of the presence of Covid significantly earlier than was apparent in the community. Think this potential development brilliant for avct. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-53257101
Sorcerer, it's not unlikely that they'd be able to get the result electronically, the most heath Robinson setup would be a camera sending an image of the test output every day. Given that, there are therefore ways of making it simpler, having a light detector behind the bars on an lfd, as the bars darken the detector trips. You could track the entire country from one control room. Not sure how you replace the equivalent of the strips once triggered.
This seems like quite a limited market, but I wonder if the industry is thinking of developing a version of this tech that could be retrofitted at key inspection points throughout the whole sewerage network? May not be in time for Covid, but it's clearly looking for a broad spectrum of pathogens, so might be an interesting future development. You wouldn't even need to check any of them until you got a positive result at the treatment works - you just follow the trail upstream until you find the source.
To answer your question( as someone also invested at 16p and having taken my stake back at £1.50), my posts represent frustration at seeing a company i part own, not making quick enough progress to take advantage of what should be a world beating product, in a gold rush. No one cares about other applications, get the damn test working and out to market. that's all.
Being in with a decent lump on a free-carry now...…..it really doesn't bother me that the share price is what it is on Monday 13th July 2020 at approximately 10.31am. Question is why people watch this every second with a squeaky bum eh and feel the need to knock?
This company have 3000 installations globally and are looking to have a roughly monthly delivery. Not sure how many are required per installation but I don't think water treatment plants are that small, so a good additional monthly income.
I think the key fact here is the different applications that the affimer reagents can work in and looking at the sp of the other two companies involved then that's what they appear to think.
More news flow expected.
All the best.
