Anyone notice this at the bottom of the website?

Seems to contradict their statement half way down the page:
*This product is CE marked and available for commercial sale in the EU. This product is has not been authorized by the FDA and is currently not available for sale in the US.
Confused?
MrA, you say: “ Not very good if you can swill with mouthwash (or bleach) and get a negative result.”
If mouthwash is capable of masking the virus in spit, isn’t anti-viral nasal spray capable of doing the same for an AN swab? I wonder if this has been researched.
Sounds like they're putting a canary in the coal mine as a method of detection.... (come on people, there's not much to work with here)
It's true though, if it doesn't work due to people enjoying their traditional delicious pile of breakfast burgers then you're left with a metal tube full of Covid. You've also got people travelling to get tested, so it's the age old problem whereby you're mixing with a lot of people before you get to the gate - always true in airports of course. Personally, I'd rather have a 100% sensitive LFD taken at home. No harm in a belt and braces approach though and it looks promising.
If anything, it sounds more alike in concept to DVRG's breath test i.e. using disposable cartridges than the shoebox test that'll never make it to market.
The February press release for this N/ S protein test claims a limit of detection of 550 virus copies/mL (i.e. relatively bad sensitivity),
https://bit.ly/3obElWe
For comparison, this paper concludes Innova N protein test as having a limit of detection of 100 virus copies/mL (i.e. better sensitivity),
https://bit.ly/3uNZoAW
And we know that Affidx far exceeds the Innova test performance when comparing clinical data split by PCR CT values. Therefore this test appears to be some way off in terms of sensitivity.
Pity the saliva LFT wasn't pursued but Innova was creaming it at the time and suppose they didn't fancy the competition. Even with AN LFT release imminent you cannot argue against acceptable mass use you would have got with saliva test to dampen outbreaks.
I have visions of overflowing buckets at the checkout where people have spit water into before the test... feel queasy ha.
As someone said maybe ideal for employees but would like to see what values they were tested against and what happens if someone has had a cheeky beer before checking in or had a maccy ds. Dave aint gonna tell you he's had 8 pints and 4 sausage rolls 10 minutes before he is due to go on holiday is he.
Not good enough. Low sensitivity at low viral loads. Needs to be prof administered, needs kit, saliva shift etc.
I can't see any info on the CT value
I was trying to find the picture of the BRH test they look very similar :')' :) :')
Testing instructions warn about eating and brushing teeth before a test. If I recall from the presentation this was one of the reasons AS said they put saliva on the back burner although results were good from saliva.

It took me a long time to find the sampling method (saliva).
Is it not clear or am I just being thick?
It’s definitely a good test and would be very useful if stats are as good as they say. They state 98% sensitivity and 100% specificity however they don’t say at what CT was used to achieve those stats. It’s been CE marked for months and yet this is the first trial the product is using. It will be interesting to keep an eye on the development on this
Looks like an interesting test. already CE marked. Big market out there so room for lots of really good tests
