Bubble, I no longer find it odd, I see it as standard the irrational behaviour of the markets on any “good news”. It happens with the blue chips too.
We are completely diluted with traders now so it’s all fkd up.
If you believe in the journey then be prepared to ride (imo) the single figures on the run to our next drill.
Just when I believed that as long as we have gas we will be good there comes the condition that it now all depends on the next drill? Ffs
We need a buy out. Give me a 2 bagger (for me) at 30p and i promise to never look back.
GP,
Do you not find it a bit odd, that we dipped at one point 25% down, yet the total traded was only about 4% of the total in issue, I find that a fair bit skewed, I mean typically I have seen that kind of heavy dip when it is more like well over 10% traded in a day, doesn't quiet sit right to me !!
I do believe that we will eventually arrive to the promised land with FTSE250 boys Energean but what was it that the supposed majors in our data room didn’t like?
I think the market has made its point so let’s see the direction of travel in the coming days.

It's about the patience element here as opposed to the quick buck element. Seen it so many times people kicking themselves thinking short term. Look at the investment, do the research, look at timelines and sit back. A massive de-risking achieved here today with partnership and a super payday on FID.
Relaxed after watching presentation.
A real investor will look at this as a great deal, yes the drop has been disappointing. But I've seen this soooo many times over my 20 years of investing. I bought more today and I'm confident I'll turn a profit soon. Investing is a hard and frustrating game to play.
All the best LTH's

NewKOTB, Thanks, I was at work and missed this. Just watched it! All I can say is "Brilliant", Chariot has honestly a great future. Why we are re sp is absolutely crazy and I believe a massive market disconnect!
Also excellent detailed questions put forward, covered a lot. 2024 is just around the corner and market will be playing catch-up.
I believe BouncyDeadCat did and excellent write up on the near term future prospects of the company with which I totally agree. I'll also say with regards to a "Successful" drill, I believe i'll just add that a company like Energean will have done its due diligence before agreement, and that's good enough for me.
Looking to double my holdings if it's still hanging around in the 11's tomorrow, but this means I have to free up cash elsewhere, but I see a better future here in the interim.

Professional,
Thanks for the info. If that's the case then it's Jan/Feb for the onshore Loukos drill and April-June for the offshore Anchois drill.
H1 2024 is going to be an extremely busy period for Chariot.
Goodluck everyone, whatever you decide to do.
Bdc i read q2 2024 in an analist report but havent checked cheers
Ooks like he switched to throwing 2X50k trades through here there and everywhere he can as volume slowed off a bit... hey hooo, can't sell forever lol...
FID comes after Anchois East drill. Everything following depends on this.
Did anyone catch in the conference call when they plan to drill Anchois East? I thought I heard 2024 but not sure if H1 or H2...
They're drilling onshore Loukos early part of 2024 (Jan/Feb).
Whilst the announcement today is a massive step, we still need the GSA and the FID.
Could that be what is holding us back and does anyone have any view on the FID timescales?

A recovery to just -14%.
I need to get my head around the positives on that one 😂
Whimax,
I personally don't subscribe to the manipulation theory.
Indeed there has been a large seller or sellers today.
"just upped my holding by 30% at this bargain basement level.."
Wondered why we had a recovery in SP...
Upped mine too ... !!
It, at least, brings an end to the long delay in getting something done to commercialise Anchois; have just upped my holding by 30% at this bargain basement level, fwiw - sasa.
Arghh, I only managed to suck up 81,000 shares around the 11.1 -11.5p mark. I wanted more!
HappyInvestor,
See my post today at 13:07 titled 'The reason Chariot is down after this RNS'.
The market is only considering associated downside risk with regards to this deal due to the necessary drill. There's no consideration with regards to the upside potential - which is asymmetric.
On a risk/reward basis, it's very good. If Energean take up the additional 10% post drill, Chariot receives $25 million cash, a free $850 million production cost free carry, $50 million in Energean stock, 7% royalties on all of Energeans revenues above base price and best of all... $2 Billion in revenue with a 10 year tax holiday attached.
You can sell these on Hargreaves at 12.02 but 11.70 to sell on here?
Blue Finish??
Honestly, I wouldn’t be at all surprised.
CoolMax, there are ONLY ever 2 reasons for manipulating the price downwards imo ;-
1) To allow Short positions to close out
Or
2) To fill a large buy order.
IG are showing 97% Long 3% Short so not a huge amount of short positions to close out.
Anyway, time may, or may not tell what the reason for this ludicrous drop is/was, but imo, it’s not because of the deal announced today.
And like a coiled spring !!!! back on the run upward lol....
Wrong or right Coolmax the markets determine whether investors make money or not.
It’s harsh.
Some chunky buys in the last half hour. SP recovering from -23% to -13%. Where will we end up?
