Evening.. Unclemal, Compensation? With respect, that’s being defeatist.. I don’t see us giving in.. We would never, ever be properly compensated.. The award of concession for Kallak would unlock $Billions, over the life of a mine.. It’s for the Government now, to make a decision.. Should we then be denied, then we challenge that decision with everything.. I think that our focus in total at this time, should remain only on BEM’s single objective, and to accept only, the then known risk, that was, Legal and commercial compliance, re the mineral policy, at the time of making our investment.. No wriggle room for Baylan/possibly others - Concession first!...imo only atb…
Eric I tend to agree with you but I fear Baylan will hope that we will give in or run out of money , as the share price drops it will be hard for Kurt to raise any money at all ,I’m very fortunate in that I don’t need the money but I fear for anybody younger that does need it, good luck to you,
Al, I'm not certain about compensation, as it should surely really be that we merit compensation now, even if our mining project goes ahead. We've been mistreated by an official body, our application having been shelved by the Swedish Government for three years or more without any measures in place to progress it. As uncovered and proven by the KU. So I'm not sure what will occur with compensation or even if we will need to sue in order to get it. It is possible that Kurt could strike a deal that includes compensation for damage caused and opportunity cost lost to Beowulf. Not sure, many avenues open. This year there is still no urgency from the Government though is there, to bring us a decision on the concession. More of the same drawn out crap and we have now long since entered our ninth year of waiting.
Dunno then Al. Lol.
Mr Baylan Said
The world's first fossil-free steel was completed today for delivery, a milestone on the road to a completely fossil-free value chain for iron and steel production and the world's first fossil-free welfare state!
Surely the only way to ensure this is to mine the ore.

Eric I agree with you entirely ,what about compensation for the mine if everything else fails,
I disagree with that Lb. Kurt does need to do something because he will not be able to rely indefinitely on all long-term shareholders who have significant stakes if he does not deliver any value via sp. The company would be in peril. He wouldn't be able to keep raising the money that he has. You seem to be making out as if he's happily cruising along without giving two hoots about shareholders or indeed his job. I don't see him as a person of that nature at all.
So I feel you are out of order with those comments, but that is only my opinion.
Afternoon.. rickmeister, Thank you the information.. It must help – surely.. Could get a mention in the ‘mining study’ report! Timing? What a leader! atb…….
Kurt diesn’t Need to do anything. His stated strategy is wait and see. And with an estimated £5.5m in the bank, his salary is secure for the next 2 or 3 years.
That big old underground lump at Kallak has been his pay check for the past 7 years, and is likely to also be his pension pot, Eric. And he has to do very little for it other than a bit of fancy dancing when funds get low. Oh and it makes little difference to him at what price or how he raises funds.
Sadly, I don’t believe it will be any comfort to you in your old age.
We still have time to avoid a complete washout this year but Kurt surely needs to find a way to boost the sp before the next massive fundraise or us long-termers in particular will get done over again if we can't afford to add more shares, whether on the open market or as part of another subscription offer.
Interesting snippet rick, cant see it inspuring swedish politicians taking a decision on Kallak until after the next green summit in glasgow (?) , unless it was a negative of course !
Swedish joint venture Hybrit has made the world’s first customer delivery of “green steel,” produced without using coal, to truck-maker Volvo Group, the group said on Wednesday.
The steel was produced in northern Sweden where they have access to low carbon electricity, hydro and wind. 3 firms involved including LKAB. Hope to be producing on an industrial scale by 2026.
Yeah, I really thought this was our year too. It's not to late though for a better sept onwards. It's been a very quiet year considering as you say the fundraise. Not much could of been done by the sounds though. This is probably the least I've looked at this share for the last few months or so. Oh well next year rodders lol
This is still "Kallak or Bust"
The year is not lost, but after the massive fundraise the sp performance has been rubbish, albeit much of it out of Kurt's control. Hoping for a decent finish to the year, but unsure as to how this can be effected.
I do wonder what KB does day to day…I’ve not been on this board for a month but clearly his comment about an easy reply to the UNESCO response hasn’t been published and frankly, Baylan won’t be in a hurry to reply, he’s got 2 jobs to do now!
However, aside from the continued stalemate, the SP hasn’t gone where I thought it would…back to 1p…still not sure how or why it’s supported but delighted that it has.
I’m off for another month, as is KB I guess! I don’t see Baylan offering a response to the response from the other response for some time! I’m guessing he’ll read KB’s letter, then offer UNESCO another chance to reply. The reindeer herders will of course be given all responses at the same time as the government, so they’ll need time to put in the penny’s…so see you all this time next year…!!!
The year is not yet lost, and things are no doubt occurring behind the scenes. The 6th September is another key date.
Yes, we've had problems in Kosovo too, not ideal I admit. We still have the remainder of the year to see if a bit of value can be added to the sp, but I can't see the Swedish Government giving us a concession decision before Christmas.
Not great this at the moment. Sleeping giant? Lol.
Best wishes Pock.
EricDraven, For a year that promised so much, based on the huge fund-raise in 2020, little has been delivered to date. There is even less to discuss...
Although today it looks very much like some of us don't love it.
Howl. Aye, on the morning of the 6th, give old Bayls a quickie phone call to say: "Our response was in the post two weeks ago, you should have it by now. Unfortunately we used Hermes, who may or may not be allegedly total crap. Just in keeping with your referral to UNESCO. But Bayls, swings and roundabouts me old son."
Agreed re the attachment of conditions. I wouldn't be surprised if the inner circle dweebs responsible for this eight year delay now grant the concession and then attempt to make our project impossible to operate by adding a billion conditions, none of which should be added, but hey, that doesn't matter. Lol.
At least we still have the fire in our bellies for this fight. Politics and money so far, as you say, no legals yet, but I can almost hear the sound of white spinny wigs being donned and a gavel in hand held by the biggest spinny wig of all.
We love it don't we? Lol.
Atb.
Evening.. Eric, a part of me want’s KB to phone Baylan on the morning of the the 6th September, to inform him that the response is “forthcoming”! I feel sure that won’t happen.. To be honest with you, I really don’t give a flying as to who could leak what to who.. The proposals have the backing from the MI, and The CEO has said that it’s not a matter for UNESCO.. No going back on that! So, the objectors may politely ram their comments – regardless, imo.. As you know, my concern is, re any condition(s) attached to any award.. Hopefully, the Mining study report will cut through the “indirect”/other BS concerns, and get things moving now.. If that is to be exspected, then lets sell that to all who is watching with interest, as soon as KB is ready, and take the initiative with Kallak.. If the study won’t help to seal the deal, then why submit at this time? We are not yet into any Legals, so it’s all about money and politics, Baylan is not doing well at either at this time, from what I can see.. Imo only, only imo lol.. atb……
Chute, that seems reasonable. I feel we've had enough leaks over the last few years, the sp suffering because of them. We only have to look at the current sp to know that things have yet to go our way.
Afternoon Aug. I kind of see where Chute is coming from really, and we should concentrate only on what we are doing, in relation to our deadline for comment. It doesn't matter whether we are accused of this or that if we lodge our comments on the last day of the deadline, because that date has been set by the Government. Kurt has mentioned that it won't take that long, fair enough, but if it does then great. For tactical reasons perhaps, either early or bang on the last day. We already know that our proposed mining project is green and falls miles outside of the World Heritage Site, so the Sami may even welcome us stalling on lodging our comments, as it allows them more time to cherish what they see as theirs, all lands, even though they ain't. Not exclusively.
Something like that, in my opinion only. Lol.
Baylan, and not Biden - both are toast lol
Chuteless, The risk then is, perhaps others could make the claim that the objectors comments could have been leaked to BEM?.. We have been told that the proposals are legal.. KB/BEM have kept professional throughout the process, and if the mining study report is as good as we all hope/expect, then Biden has to deliver. Get it in asap.. Leave nothing to chance! Imo only.. atb….
