What's with all the silly low buys today, the commission charges cost more than the purchase ???
3card - Kallak is standing still. Kosovo and Finland are limping.
Can we all please knock on the head once and for all, the idea that we are "limping along"?
We are not.
We are standing still until a decision is made one way or the other. And in the meantime we become poorer each year, partly through share price and partly through dilution.
Don't hold your breath Suzy. Baylan has never given the answers we or anyone pro-mining wants. Why should we expect anything different this time?
Hasty, we've had much slower years than this one...there are three questions in the House to be answered by Minister Baylan...the questions he managed to evade owing to the vote of no confidence...questions put by Lars Hjalmared and Eric Palmqvist which must be answered on or before 30 August. That means the Opposition are in full chase on our behalf.
Suzy we are limping along, yet this was supposed to be an exciting year for BEM according to Kurt. Imagine what a slow year would be like?
The Social Dems have a tricky decision regarding a new leader, who they chose does not automatically become PM, parliament has to vote for that to happen. Indications are that the finance minister, Magdalena Andersson, could replace Lofven. Whether the new leader will have a reshuffle is unknown but there will be lots of deals going on behind the scenes which may affect individual posts. If Baylan backs the winner he'll stay but if not he might go or be demoted. At least there has to be some change to the current political inertia.
At least we are limping along...could be a lot worse..we could be not limping along.
Good morning aug59,
You say Baylan has no place to hide anymore.
He is not hiding. He has the full support of his boss.
As far as any perceived pressure from the KU report. It is 9 months since it’s publication and it had no effect. The fall in the Fraser Institute rankings has been going on for years and clearly is of little concern.
CEOs can bang the drum all they like. Until and unless they can unseat Baylan, it’s all just noise.
Baylan has all the support he needs to coast through to the next election unscathed.
The 6th September is just another in a long line of illusory pinchpoints which long termers actually still believe will be a game changer. They never are and this next date will pass with a whimper and the saga will limp on.
Budge meanwhile continues to steal a handsome living for achieving nothing in 7 years in post.
The 6th September is all that matters at this juncture...
Fair points Aug. The UNESCO comments haven't made it easier for Baylan to make a decision though, in my opinion. Kind of backfired on him. He could now even bring us more delaying fudge while he decides what to do next. I actually don't feel he will make the concession decision at all, because when he referred our application to UNESCSO he unusually didn't set any timescale for a response. He just doesn't seem to want to make the decision and is avoiding doing so at all costs, for whatever reason. In fact, surely his behaviour has been most odd throughout his tenure, in regard to our application. Questionable, and we also know that he hasn't exactly been too bothered about responding to any of Kurt's correspondence.
Let's trust Baylan does feel the pressures from elsewhere then and surprises us all for once.
As ever, only my thoughts.
Atb.
Evening.. Eric, no, we don’t know when a decision will be made. We do have a date of the 6th September, and do know what that date represents.. The politics has changed here over the past months, and the questions raised over Baylan’s failings re mining, from the opposition parties/other, are not going to go away at this time.. 12 months ago KB was almost alone voice (Mayor, SD), and since, the KU report, Fraser institute and other mining CEO’s banging the drum, there’s no place to hide anymore.. Worse of all imo, Baylan’s referral to UNESCO after years of process, made him look wanting, even desperate.. Now, its in the Governments interest to make a decision, and that the decision is not challenged.. Imo only..
Unclemal – Thank you! Do hope you enjoyed the Birthday bash at the weekend young man! atb………
Aug, that would be a smashing post of yours, however, the small problem being that we so far simply cannot get the concession decision. Concession first, yes, but we still don't know when that will be, or even if, no matter whether we consider any other factors in our favour or otherwise. We are in our ninth year of waiting for something that should have taken between 9-12 months. Lol.
aud59 well said and I feel it had to be said as well, I have nearly five million shares here and I’ve no intention of selling ,one day I’m sure we will get what we want if I’m still alive all well and good , think positive all these negative posts get me down ,good luck to you and keep smiling,
lbjj, “fantasy land”? We both like being there! Lol You see, it goes something like this! I remain invested, because I remain positive – on balance! You however, are not positive, so you no longer remain invested! I get that! But, you do not for some reason.. So let me say why I remain positive.. Lofven and Baylan only care about how best to retain power- by spending lots of other peoples money.. Neither one, gives a flying about “the people”, which does include both, market investors and reindeer herders! Moreover, If they had genuine concerns for “the planet” then, low impurity, high – grade iron ore would have been given the go – ahead years ago! This is a money game! BEM have the backing from the MI (its Legal), nor have we gone for a song! Both of which, tells me that KB knows what he is doing, and that he thinks that he can deliver.. Its “Concession first”, then we talk to whoever, whenever!! Given, BEM have had to deal with unwritten rules, I think you underestimate KB hugely, What’s more, should this go legal, I hope/expect that he has a partner lined - up who can help where it matters, so not be a victim of any miscarriage of justice - capiche! If you hoped for transparency/ integrity, when $ Billions are involved, then with respect, given your years, that’s very naïve of you!! Fantasy land???.. Lolol .. atb…………
Haven't been around here for a while, after all, what's the point?
Nothing much happening with this downbeat company at the moment which is probably going to be the case for next 24 months! And there was I thinking the RESIGNATION related to Budge!
Aug,
Now you are in fantasy land!
Lofven’s name will be on the ballot paper in 12 months time. Just chill. Nothing will happen before the election, and most probably after it as well.
Afternoon.. Hope? Let’s hope Baylan fully appreciates that no one considers the proposals not to be legal (SP holding above 3:16).. Stop digging now! If he wants to take credit for pushing HYBRIT and Green steel (Green transition) next year, then secure the supply of the cleanest iron ore! If we got the award of concession within good time, we could supply HYBRIT with say, 1/200 Tonnes of Kallak’s finest (under ‘test’ criteria), publish the output data (energy used) in every mining magazine around the globe, and Baylan could make sure that the Green party got their copy, months before the election.. BEM/Kallak gets positive exposure! WOW! Let me see now……… High - grade = $20P/T premium…….Super high - grade = $40P/T…………Thunberg Formula (71.5%) = $50+……… Baylan, could then put his name forward for PM…… Sorry!....lol…atb…………
The three amigos. x
Eric/Aug. Faith, Hope and Charity. Lol.
I can see what both of you mean, I would just add that without hope some of us would enter an eternal depression which could eventually destroy us. Depending on how our brains are wired of course. So having hope and faith in something is vital, regardless of the frustrations felt while going through the process.
In my humble.
Evening.. A few words from Stefan Lofven on current Government policy … atb….
Benny Hill - Socialism (1989) - YouTube
FarEnd...that's a rubbish interpretation...a better one is is that Hope remained as an eternal blessing to mankind.
Hope, just looked it up. -
All the evils in the world were scattered from Pandora's jar, while the one potentially mitigating force, hope, remains locked securely inside. ... To that end, he gives man hope. In truth, it is the most evil of evils because it prolongs man's torment."
The last three word's.......very apt
After that vote last June, Löfven became the first Swedish leader ever to lose a motion in parliament.
It's the Swedish equivalent of hari kari, he couldn't stand the shame lol.
The party is more important than the man, steady as she goes and don't do anything too reckless before September next year.
Nothing to get excited about, but we can only hope.
Hope, wasn't that the only thing left in Pandora's box?
