I generally don't agree with your posts on the FTSE100 but you predicted the buying opportunity pretty close to the bottom on 29/10. I'm positive on the FTSE still but it's a lot harder work to find value at 6300+.
The only reason that the markets went up is because of a German vaccine which has to go through more tests yet and be approved and add to the mix this ****tail IE make up has never been used on humans. BEFORE ANYONE jumps down my throat regarding what I have just said I suggest that you look up the make up of the vaccine that PIFER HAVE GOT AND THE MAKE UP OF ASTAZENECA + GSK HAVE. :-)
Denny said rolls Royce will go lower 90 minutes before it shot up 100%. What a joker!!!
"it's going lower,"
You said that 2 trading days before the index shot up.
You need to get a grip.
There were many wrong here.
I been saying FTSE is cheap throughout 2020.
People have their heads in the sand.
It's still not expensive.
The negative commentary here has been proven dump delusional and ignorant. But it's not my problem, it's theirs.
50% of move from all time highs to march lows is 6370. its a key retracment level and could well cause the index to to stumble after a 15% 8 day rally.
NOT AT ALL THIS patience read about the vaccine properly this is just a little bounce and when Biden alters the tax system then tell me i am wrong :-)
denby69 - How wrong you were.
:-0
its going lower dont count your chickens
Looks like the footsie is sitting on the fence awaiting election results . Biden win should help the pharma companies to move a good bit higher.
This wont be going up much more take out the us election just look ate the debt all over
BP and shell just declared , current full yr yield 9% and 5% respectively. Massive capital potential gain too if you want to wait.
Well time to start buying :-) bargains
Still paying a good dividend I believe BAE
Need to pick the right stocks
Denby69, I think you may well be right. I’ve just bought a few premium bonds at least my dosh will be safe for awhile if I get a whiff of inflation I will cash in with my £10000000 winnings :-).
One of the weakest indexes in thd world and showing reasons why to avoid at all costs. Just a group of 100 junk stocks
Where to put the little cash now may wait until feb, to put more in the casino going to have a little rise then down in feb could be a good time to pick up a bargain.
I suppose there is Bae systems if you think wars will still be in fashion!
Yep, says it all when the only stock up today is JUST EAT. Gawd help us all.
Apart from discount stores whats left
Look at sectors
Banks total dogs basket
Retail gone
Builders no demand for new homes
Food moving to home delivery soburdened with shops.
High Street stores done for
Energy all want bail puts yet not owned by the government. They pay themselves huge bonuses when times are good and expect bail outd when not. Nationalie the lot
Airlines and travel history
What is there yo invest in on the FTSE of any substance. This is why British companies are seen as a joke and are avoided
May change in the future but most are heading closer to bankruptcy than survival
But I do agree in that there is a quite large amount of garbage with the FTSE. In FTSE 250, there are also some cheap bargains which will be muktibaggers eventually. But I'm.nit talking about RR or such. Airlines or related I've never been interested, too risky to any outside influences
Ok but not 100 of them are all rubbish.
Each company is either dead, sustainable if work is done, or more recent FTSE entry that might not be out of date.
Yeah post office is dead. That's one. Not all 100 companies are the same, they are not all Bp and post office. How about not lumping it all together as one and the same?
I dont short sell but its becoming clearer by the day week month and year that there is a very good reason the sell off in FTSE 100 stocks overall has occurred. There is no value and nothing worth investing in. The FTSE is comprised of companies mostly heading out the door unless saved by diluting share holder value or as will be the case soon renationalising those deemed necessary. Not all about brexit or covid. Outdated models and greed over service will kill off many.
