Interim Management Statement
This statement comprises Victrex's Interim Management Statement covering the period from 1 April 2009 to date.
Sales volume for the four months to the end of July amounted to approximately 480 tonnes. Initially, volumes remained steady compared with the second quarter. However, in July, volume increased to 140 tonnes. While this is encouraging, it is too early to judge the extent to which this is due to restocking or a higher level of sustainable demand.
Invibio®, our biomaterials division, has continued to trade in line with expectations.
There have been no significant changes in the financial position of the Company since 31 March 2009 which remains strong with net cash and no debt.
The Company's annual trading update for the year to 30 September 2009 will be issued on Thursday 8 October 2009.
