Directorate Changes

FW Thorpe Plc announces that Mr Andrew Thorpe will retire from his role as Executive Director of the Company, however will remain on the Board as Non-Executive Director, with effect from 1 July 2019.

Andrew Thorpe commented:

"Well, the time has come! Starting as a young man with an HND in "Mechanical" under my belt my father Ernest Thorpe sent me on a year's worth of work on each and every section of company manufacturing. It set me up well for the many various other jobs I undertook for the Company. Some I did well and some not so well but I gained the knowledge and expertise to now be able to retire as a "Past Chairman". 

Our Company still believes in wide ranging training to bring people on and due to this attribute, I am now happy to be able to watch progress from the sidelines with fingers not needing to be crossed! I, of course, wish "Thorpe's" every success for the future."

During his tenure, we have navigated many different challenges from technological revolutions to those of growing the business overseas. I am sure many of our employees, shareholders and stakeholders alike will join us in wishing Andrew all the best for his retirement. We look forward to his ongoing support as a non-executive into the future."
