Directorate Changes Effective 28th June 2010

F W Thorpe Plc regrets to announce the retirement of Mr Peter Mason, Group Joint Managing Director and Group Financial Director, but is pleased to announce his appointment as a Non-Executive Director.

The positions of Group Financial Director and Company Secretary will be assumed by Mr Craig Muncaster FCMA who is joining the company from Durr Ltd.

Mr Andrew Thorpe will continue in his roles as Executive Chairman and Group Joint Managing Director and be joined by Mr Michael "Mike" Allcock as the new Group Joint Managing Director. Mr Allcock is currently an F W Thorpe Plc Main Board Director and Managing Director of the largest company within the group, Thorlux Lighting.

Mr Peter Mason joined the company in 1977 as Financial Director of F W Thorpe Plc whose sole trading name was Thorlux Lighting. Peter has successfully seen the company through considerable growth during his period in office and the Board would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his diligence, long hours, commitment and loyalty during this time. The Board, whilst regretting the loss of Peter's presence day to day, looks forward to seeing him regularly during his tenure as a Non-Executive Director.

Mr Craig Muncaster BA (Hons) FCMA (Craig), aged 36, graduated in business administration in 1995 before pursuing accountancy and gaining his ACMA Chartered Management Accountant qualification in 2000 and subsequently his FCMA. During this period Craig fulfilled posts in Folkes Forgings Ltd and

Durr, rising to the position of UK Financial Director in 2003. Craig is currently a director of Durr Limited, Durr Pty Limited (Australia), Durr Limited UK Sucursala Craiova (Romania), resignation effective 30th June 2010, and formerly of Schenck Automation Systems Limited (dissolved 12th May 2009).

Mr Michael Allcock C.Eng (Mike) joined the company at the age of sixteen as a technical apprentice having shown his prowess in the building and flying of model aeroplanes. Progressing through the company Mike gained various qualifications until his eventual appointment as a Chartered Engineer. He was made a Group Board Director in 2000 and Thorlux Lighting Managing Director in 2003.

Peter Mason, on a daily basis, in his financial role at "Thorpes" I look forward to working with Craig Muncaster our new Group FD who, I am sure, will help carry the Group further forward and bring new nuances to our modus operandi. I also look forward to working with Mike Allcock as the new Group Joint MD and I am sure that Mike will continue to prove himself as a great asset to the company.
