Star Energy Group PLC28 January 2005 Star Energy Group plc Trading Statement Star Energy Group plc, the energy company with interests in UK oil and gasproduction and gas storage projects, will announce its preliminary results on18th April for the year ended 31 December 2004. In advance of these results,Star is providing the following guidance in respect of the Company'sperformance. For the 12-month period ended 31 December 2004, the Board expects, subject toaudit, pre-tax profit to be in the region of £0.4 million before exceptionalcosts amounting to £2.4 million. These exceptional costs relate mainly to thecosts of the flotation in May 2004. The company's Humbly Grove gas storage project, currently under construction, isprogressing on schedule and on budget.
