Star Energy Group PLC20 November 2006 Star Energy Group plc("Star Energy" or the "Company") Denmark Well to be Plugged and Abandoned Following the previous announcement, the Company provides the following furtherupdate of the Karlebo-1 exploration well onshore Denmark: "Tethys Oil Denmark AB, operator for the companies in licence 1/02, hascompleted the exploration well Karlebo-1 (5512/2-1) onshore Denmark in the northeastern part of Sjaelland. Karlebo-1 was drilled as a deviated well and reached total depth in rocks ofTriassic age at 2302 meters TVD below mean sea level. The well encounteredsandstones of Lower Cretaceous and Triassic age. No hydrocarbons wereencountered, and the well will be permanently plugged and abandoned. Karlebo-1 was spudded 26 September 2006 with the rig IRI 750 at the location 55degrees55'12.897" N; 12degrees25'04.042" E (UTM zone 33; 6,200,216 N; 338,642E), where the ground level is 40 metres above sea level." Star Energy have a 20% interest in the licence.
