Reduction of Capital
Kier Group plc (the "Company") is pleased to announce that, following approval of the cancellation of the Company's share premium account and the Company's capital redemption reserve (collectively, the "Capital Reduction") by the Company's shareholders at its annual general meeting held on 16 November 2023 and formal approval on 19 December 2023 by His Majesty's High Court in England (the "Court"), the court order confirming the Reduction of Capital and a statement of capital approved by the Court were registered by the Registrar of Companies on 22 December 2023. Accordingly, the Reduction of Capital has now become effective.
Further information relating to the Reduction of Capital is set out in the Company's notice of annual general meeting published on 6 October 2023. The Reduction of Capital itself does not involve any distribution or repayment of capital by the Company and does not change the total number of shares issued by the Company.
