Gleeson(M J)Group PLC03 July 2006 M J Gleeson Group plc (the "Company") 3 July 2006 Notification of Interests in Shares by Directors and Persons DischargingManagement Responsibilities 1. On 3 July 2006, following the subscription of 210,000 new issue Ordinaryshares of 2p each in the Company by Hill Samuel Offshore Trust Company Limited("Hill Samuel") in its capacity as trustees of The Gleeson Group ExecutiveTrust, the following directors of The M J Gleeson Group plc acquired an interestin the said 210,000 Ordinary shares: Terence W MassinghamPaul A H Wallwork Following the subscription, Hill Samuel holds (and the directors are thereforeinterested in) 363,597 Ordinary shares. The 210,000 new issue Ordinary shares will be held by Hill Samuel in trust andover which the directors have no control. The shares will be used in order tosatisfy the exercise of options under the Gleeson Sharesave Scheme to take placebetween July and December 2006. 2. The Company was advised that on 3 July 2006 the PersonsDischarging Management Responsibilities listed below acquired Ordinary shares inthe Company at a purchase price of £1.48 per Share.
