Board Change

easyJet is pleased to announce that David Robbie will join the Board as a Non-Executive Director and member of the Audit, Finance and Remuneration Committees on 17 November 2020. 

David currently serves as a non-executive director of DS Smith plc and is Chair of their Audit Committee and a member of their Nomination and Remuneration Committees. He is also Senior Independent Director and Chair of the Audit Committee at FirstGroup plc.

David was Finance Director of Rexam PLC from 2005 until its acquisition by Ball Corporation in 2016. Prior to his role at Rexam, David served as Group Finance Director at CMG plc, Chief Financial Officer at Royal P&O Nedloyd N.V. and held senior finance roles at BTR plc. He also served as a non-executive director of the BBC between 2006 and 2010 and as Chairman of their Audit Committee. David qualified as a chartered accountant at KPMG.

· The Nominations Committee led the recruitment process for David Robbie on behalf of the Board. 

· For the purpose of Listing Rule 9.6.13, David is currently a non-executive director of DS Smith plc and Senior Independent Director of FirstGroup plc. Both are listed on the London Stock Exchange. David was a director of Rexam plc until June 2016 on completion of its acquisition by Ball Corporation.
