Board changes

eg solutions plc (AIM: EGS), the back office optimisation software Company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert (Bob) Joseph Krakauer as a Non-Executive Director of the Group, with immediate effect. Mr Krakauer replaces Spence Mallder on the board as the representative of Aspect Software UK Ltd., a major shareholder in the Company; accordingly Mr Mallder has today stepped down from the board of eg.

Bob Krakauer, aged 49 years, has substantial experience in senior finance and operational roles, primarily within companies in the technology sector. Mr Krakauer is currently CFO of Aspect Software, which provides enterprise software for customer service. He served as interim CFO of Genesys, CFO of GlobalFoundries and LifeLock, as well as president and CFO of MagnaChip Semiconductor. He was previously executive vice president of corporate operations and CFO for ChipPAC, where he was part of the management team that successfully took the company public on NASDAQ. Mr Krakauer also held executive leadership positions in finance and business development for AlliedSignal (now Honeywell). He is a chartered accountant, and has a bachelor's degree in accounting and an MBA with a concentration in operations.

Commenting on the appointment, Duncan McIntyre, Chairman of eg solutions, said:

Current directorships held by Mr Krakauer and directorships held by him in the last five years are as follows:

Mr Krakauer is a director of Aspect Software UK Ltd which holds 2,148,337 ordinary shares (9.5 per cent.) in the Company. Therefore, Bob has an indirect interest in the Company by virtue of his oversight role at Aspect Software UK Ltd.

There is no further information disclosable in respect of Mr Krakauer's appointment, pursuant to Schedule 2(g) of the AIM Rules for Companies.
