Completed Contracts - Olympic & Paralympic Games

Pinnacle Technology Group plc, (AIM: PINN) the AIM listed provider of cloud based technology solutions, is delighted to announce that it has successfully completed its contracts associated with broadcasting for the Olympic & Paralympic Games.

For BBC International, Pinnacle supplied a fully resilient gigabit fibre network over 5 floors of the Stratford Broadcast Tower. In a separate tower block near the Olympic Park, Pinnacle installed and maintained another fully resilient gigabit private fibre network for Al Jazeera, including equipment to stream encrypted Olympics HD television broadcasts from Stratford to the Al Jazeera Knightsbridge centre, for forward transmission onto the Middle East.

In total, Pinnacle supplied services to 31 countries, which included Brazilian broadcasters Globosat and Globo Sports. Brazil will host the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Commenting on the completed contracts, Alan Bonner, CEO of Pinnacle, said: "Delivering the Olympic contracts has been profitable, but importantly, it has also enabled us to upgrade elements of the Pinnacle core network, including the provision of further gigabit infrastructure, new power generation systems and additional satellite capability. 1.4 Gbps wireless laser technology and WiFi systems which provide 100% coverage across 7 floors in buildings with 9" steel reinforced concrete walls, have been tested and deployed throughout the duration of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. In total, Pinnacle supplied services to 31 countries, spanning 5 miles of cabling. I am extremely proud of our staff, all of whom have worked tirelessly to make sure that Pinnacle successfully completed our contracts associated with the Olympic and Paralympic Games."
