AGM STATEMENT

Colefax will be holding its Annual General Meeting at 11am this morning and Chairman, David Green, will make the following comment on current trading,

"The Group has just entered its important autumn trading period. As reported in our final results in July, trading conditions are still extremely challenging in all our major markets. In the US, which is our most important market, representing approximately 50% of our Fabric Division, sales for the four months to 31 August 2009 are down by 32% on a constant currency basis. In the UK, sales for the four months to 31 August are down by 18%. In Europe, sales for the four months to 31 August are down by 10% and by 18% on a constant currency basis. We anticipate that trading conditions will remain very challenging for at least the remainder of the current financial year."
