Cairo - on March 14th , 2017 - CIB is pleased to announce that Mr. Hussein Abaza has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the bank and named a member of the Board of Directors, a position which was vacant since April 27th, 2016. As CEO, Mr. Abaza is now responsible for the bank's strategy and operations across all functions.
His appointment was made on the recommendation of the Board and has been approved by the Central Bank of Egypt.
Mr. Abaza is a career banker with more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry - including both commercial and investment banking - and is well-known in the global financial community. From October 2011 until his appointment today, he was CEO for Institutional Banking at CIB. He has previously served as the bank's Chief Risk Officer and Chief Operating Officer and began his journey with CIB in 1985, when we were known as Chase National Bank of Egypt.
CIB would also like to announce that Mr. Amr EL Ganainy will assume the role of Acting CEO Institutional Banking pending regulatory approvals.

القاهرة في 14 مارس 2017- يسر البنك التجاري الدولي (مصر) أن يعلن عن تولى السيد الأستاذ / حسين أباظة منصب الرئيس التنفيذي الرئيسي وعضو بمجلس إدارة البنك وذلك بعد الحصول على موافقة البنك المركزي المصري. وقد كان هذا المنصب شاغراَ منذ 27 إبريل 2016.
يتمتع السيد حسين أباظة بخبرة طويلة تزيد عن 30 عاماً في مجال الخدمات المالية ويحظى بعلاقات وطيدة مع المجتمع الاستثماري الدولي. وانضم سيادته إلى أسرة البنك التجاري الدولي في عام 1985 وشغل على مدار هذه الفترة العديد من المناصب في مختلف القطاعات منها رئيس قطاع المخاطر والرئيس التنفيذي للعمليات. وتولى سيادته مهام الرئيس التنفيذي للقطاع المؤسسي منذ أكتوبر 2011 وحتى تاريخه.
كما يود البنك أن يعلن عن تولى السيد الأستاذ/ عمرو الجناينى منصب القائم بأعمال الرئيس التنفيذي للقطاع المؤسسي لحين الحصول على الموافقات اللازمة من الجهات الرقابية.
